Chapter 279 The Tomb Raider Dies

After leaving the chain bridge, the two of them walked back along the way they came. Mo Shouchen followed Hu Jiu, keeping a certain distance to prevent him from playing tricks again.

There was no danger along the way, and the two people soon reached the top tomb chamber.

After getting out of the secret passage under the coffin, Mo Shouchen saw that the coffin was still tied with a red hemp rope. It seemed that the black-haired rice dumpling inside could no longer escape.

Arriving at the entrance of the Thief's Cave, Mo Shouchen used his flashlight to shine inside. It was pitch black inside and there was nothing unusual about it.

Hu Jiu stepped into the robbery cave with one foot, then turned to Mo Shouchen and said, "There is another trap inside. You must be careful behind you when you enter later."

Mo Shouchen was about to ask why he had to be careful behind him, but Hu Jiu didn't give him a chance to ask. He just bent down, got into the robbery hole and started to crawl forward, so he had no choice but to crawl in.

The two of them were crawling in the narrow robbery cave one behind the other. Whether it was because of what Hu Jiu said just now or because there was something really wrong behind him, Mo Shouchen always felt like there was something following him behind him.

But when he looked back, he saw nothing.

After turning his head twice like this, the distance between him and Hu Jiu gradually widened, until finally he could only see a black shadow crawling in front of him.

Could it be that Hu Jiu deliberately said to be careful behind him in order to distract himself and then take the opportunity to get rid of him?

Thinking of this possibility, Mo Shouchen couldn't help but speed up his crawling, but no matter how fast he crawled, he still couldn't shorten the distance between him and the black shadow in front of him.

Soon, there was a fork in the road ahead, and it was not far from the exit of the Thief Cave.

Mo Shouchen couldn't help but look inside the hole dug by Ah Fu.

The entrance to the cave is very narrow and the walls are rough. It can be seen that Ah Fu was in a hurry when he dug this stolen cave.

But Ah Fu had obviously escaped, so why did he dig a new robbery hole?

Also, how did he die in the end?

Mo Shouchen felt that he would know the answer soon.

He crossed the fork in the road and continued to climb forward. After a while, he saw the black shadow in front of him stop, and the exit was reached.

Mo Shouchen crawled over and found Hu Jiu lying motionless in front, and because he was blocking the front, Mo Shouchen could not see what was going on in front.

"How's it going? Can I go out in front?"

Mo Shouchen asked, but Hu Jiu in front of him didn't answer, as if he didn't hear him.

"Hey! I'm talking to you, don't try to play tricks with me!"

Mo Shouchen went up and pulled Hu Jiu's feet, but his hands felt wet.

I didn't find any water in the Thief's Cave along the way. Why were Hu Jiu's feet wet?

It’s not because he peed!

Mo Shouchen suddenly felt nauseous. He quickly rubbed his hands on the sand on the cave wall, then subconsciously opened his palms and took a look.

Then his pupils shrank, and he discovered that his palm was actually red, which meant that the liquid he touched just now was probably not urine, but blood!

Mo Shouchen pushed Hu Jiu's foot hard, and then asked anxiously: "What happened? You should say something!"

This time Hu Jiu finally reacted. He moved his body first, then slowly turned his head, and a pale face came into Mo Shouchen's eyes.

"What's going on..."

Mo Shouchen only stopped mid-sentence because he found that the face in front of him looked a bit unfamiliar. It was not Hu Jiu's face at all!

He suddenly felt a chill on his back, and he stepped back involuntarily.

In the narrow robbery cave, the man in front turned his body around in a posture that ordinary people could not complete, and then slowly crawled forward with his body hunched like a wild wolf preparing to hunt.

At this time, Mo Shouchen finally saw the other person's face clearly, with wide eyes and an extremely wide mouth, as if his jaw was dislocated.

Although he couldn't tell what this person looked like, Mo Shouchen still remembered this extremely exaggerated expression.

It was Ah Fu who was scared to death!

This was the second time that Mo Shouchen was frightened by this face. Last time it was just a corpse, but this time it turned into a more terrifying ghost.

Ah Fu's ghost crawled forward unhurriedly. It seemed to enjoy the way Mo Shouchen was scared and retreated hastily.

But Mo Shouchen stopped after retreating a certain distance. He looked at Ah Fu who was crawling towards him, and then said in a calm tone:

"I have to admit, you did scare me, but I backed away not because I was afraid of you, but because I wanted to make room for a friend."

After speaking, a man suddenly appeared between Mo Shouchen and Ah Fu. This man was a bit fat, wearing a chef's uniform and a chef's hat on his head.

In his hand, he held a gleaming kitchen knife.

"Chop it for me!" Mo Shouchen shouted.

It seemed that he felt threatened by the fat chef. Although Ah Fu's expression did not change, his body began to retreat.

The fat chef never gave the other party a chance to escape. He crawled toward Ah Fu with a grin, his fat body not affected by space at all.

After only a few crawls, he caught Ah Fu. The kitchen knife in his hand was flying in the hole, and screams could not be heard.

It seems that Ah Fu doesn't even have a chance to be a ghost.

The fat chef quickly dealt with Ah Fu, and after taking the black book back from the fat chef, Mo Shouchen began to crawl forward.

But until he climbed to the end of the thief's cave, he saw no sign of Hu Jiu.

There was no road ahead, so Mo Shouchen pushed hard. It felt very hard, as if he was pushing a stone slab.

But he remembered that the entrance to the robbery hole was just covered with a layer of camouflaged soil, so why couldn't it be pushed open?

Mo Shouchen picked up the flashlight and took a closer look. He found that the hole was blocked by a stone slab.

Moreover, this stone slab is integrated with the surrounding soil and is not covered with a back cover at all.
