Chapter 9: Expedition (Part 2)

Section 9: Going to the Battle (Part 1)

"Mr. Townsend really has an insight into the nature of a businessman." Si was still the same, with a polite look on his face and couldn't see the emotions: "I have a premonition that you will become a very successful businessman in the future."

"You probably got it wrong. I'm just a customer and I won't pursue transactions." Townsend refused to accept the other party's flattery: "If this business can be done, it's of course good. If I can't do it, I don't have any regrets. Climbing a mountain is not a big deal."

"The guest may have misunderstood it. It is not because I came forward to it that he was not contemptuous of you, but because Joan could not keep his mind in front of the food. You should understand this situation, right?" S continued to keep his polite face, so that Townsend could not guess her true intention: "These foods can be considered as inferior products at the lowest level, but there are not many items available for exchange. What do you want to change to the customer?"

"I don't know what you have, and Joan hasn't given a list," since someone else said so well, Townsend was not aggressive, so he spread his hands: "So I don't know what I can exchange for."

"If this is the case, it is better for the guests to talk about their recent plans or encounters. I know a little about the past of the guests and can recommend some things according to your needs, at least to ensure that you can use them at the moment."

"This method is very considerate and I am willing to accept it." Townsend couldn't help but nod: "I have no other plans recently. I just want to take a boat to get a piece of land thousands of miles away."

"Inland?" S was not surprised at all: "Or the West Coast?"

"The West Coast is probably in the area of the Quelsa Plain," Townsend said. "Once you start, you don't know when you will go."

"It turns out that the guest has established an enterprising determination, so I wish you a victory." Si thought for a while: "If it is not a presumptuous, I would like to ask if you have enough people under your command? Is the combat power sufficient? If there is any lack, I can introduce a mercenary to you, and the cost is offset against these inferior goods."

"War is something a large group of people does, and I play it regardless of time and place. The role a mercenary can play is very limited, let alone the problem of familiarity and cooperation with each other." Townsend replied: "So mercenaries are not suitable. Do you have any other suggestions?"

"It seems that the guests are full of confidence in themselves. If this happens, I believe the guests will come to the battlefield and fight with all their might?"

"Indeed, the essence of this action is to be done if you fail." Townsend smiled cheerfully: "Or I'll send it, or I'll finish it, and there's no other result."

"Mr. Townsend, your temperament seems to have changed a little bit..." Si looked at Townsend with concentration: "You seem to have suddenly become more free and more secular."

"You are right. I find that I seemed to think too much before but do too little." Townsend nodded and admitted: "It's better to be a little unrestrained! It's okay to pretend to be a grandson, but if you keep pretending like this, you will really become a grandson!"

"I understand. Since you have made the decision, Mr. Townsend, I will introduce the following products for you." Si raised his wrist lightly, and three thick, square ice cubes slid from the corner of the ice cave and stopped beside Townsend. Si pointed his fingers lightly, and the opaque ice cubes cracked from it with a "bang", revealing what was inside.

As countless small ice cubes spread all over the floor, Townsend looked up and his eyes changed suddenly. Because he saw three complete and brand new armor. This is a kind of all-inclusive leather armor. The head, body, limbs, and even the neck are protected. The joints are handled extremely well, and you can tell at a glance that it is not an ordinary person.

After a closer look, Townsend found that these three pairs of armor were somewhat wrong, with different shapes and different colors. Or it should be said that this was just a brand new base armor - there were no additional metal armor on the surface, but there were obvious holes, some hooks and locks with unknown uses, and there were not even decorative patterns.

"Guest, please allow me to introduce you to all three." Si pointed to the silver-white armor on the left and said, "This pair is called Xianzhe Kai." Then she turned her finger and pointed to the golden armor on the right and said, "This pair is called Yongyi Kai."

"What about the pure black in the middle?" Townsend asked.

"Invisible Armor - Actually, the name is not important. It was created by the maker. The key lies in the function of the armor." Si replied softly: "These three pairs of armor were born at the same time. The raw materials were the skins of a group of deep-sea beasts. The ages of the beasts are different, so the colors are different. The silver is the lightest and softest, the golden is the heaviest and strongest, and the black is moderate in weight and defense."

"It seems that there are still some things missing?" Townsend asked.

"If it is complete, the three pairs of armor will not all appear in front of you." Si smiled: "This is considered base armor, there should be metal armor on it, and some gems and other things. But when it was mortgaged to me, the other party could not take out other accessories, and I couldn't force the other party to find them all. But even so, they are better than ordinary plate armor."

"If you accidentally get caught by the original owner, wouldn't you be exposed?" Townsend laughed, "You can't blame me at that time, I'm afraid of pain. If someone catches me and asks, I will definitely explain."

"I feel relieved to Mr. Townsend, and, surely, no one knows that armor has something to do with me."

"Why?"

"Please believe me, guest, you won't be happy with the answer." Si's words said Si's venerate: "After all...thing happened hundreds of years ago."

"Do you give me all three pairs of armor?" Townsend said very well, and immediately changed the subject and asked: "Switch these fish?"

"Equivalent exchange." Si nodded: "Customer, do you accept it?"

"No problem!" Townsend agreed readily. If he didn't agree, he would be a fool: "The fish are all yours!"

Si stretched out his hand and wiped it down. The ice cubes placed next to the delicious fish immediately cracked. The pairs of small fish frozen inside immediately lived and swam in the air. They turned around Si's body a few times, shaking their heads and tails so happy - Townsend was used to bizarre events here, and was not surprised at all.

"There is a dark river below. You can go, don't be found by Joan." Si pointed his finger at the ice wall behind him, and a few pairs of small fish swam over there, directly passing through the ice wall and disappeared. His posture was no different from swimming in the water.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Townsend had already pulled out the dagger and tried the armor. The final result was very satisfying to him - the dagger made him bend, but the surface of the armor was at most a small hole, and it would slowly recover!

"Because I am very satisfied, I solemnly promise you that there will be no live fish in the future products." Townsend threw the dagger and clapped his hands: "Would you like to exchange the next goods with you?"

"I won't have to do anything, so I'll do it." Si nodded with a smile.
