Chapter 20 Shooting Training

The theory class is the most difficult for the soldiers in the entire training, and the theory class will be easier after the subsequent training.

For example, shooting, squad and platoon tactics, battalion and company tactics, etc.

Especially in shooting training, the soldiers can only be described as "cheerful"... In the past, when training in China and even in wars, the bullets were reluctant to take action like treasures. However, the current shooting training was piled up with a pile of ammunition in front of them, and the instructor left a sentence: "Your mission today is to finish all these ammunitions!"

Zhang Chi still remembered the surprise on the faces of the soldiers when they first heard the instructor's words. They originally thought it was ammunition for them to train for a week, but they didn't expect it to be a day and they had to be finished.

Then the soldiers cheered and each received hundreds of bullets and walked onto the shooting range without saying a word.

Chinese troops may be more concerned about marksmanship because of their low ammunition, and sometimes even require soldiers to "destroy one enemy per bullet". The marksmanship is fed with bullets, so this creates a contradiction: the shooting accuracy cannot be improved because of insufficient ammunition, and the battlefield requires soldiers to have extremely high accuracy because of insufficient ammunition.

This contradiction can be said tortured every Chinese soldier from beginning to end. At this moment, I suddenly got almost endless ammunition and how the soldiers fought. So the soldiers were like sitting on a mountain of gold and were enjoying shooting.

This phenomenon is not just a unit, but the entire Chinese army... This forced American instructors to secretly praise the hardships of Chinese soldiers, because if they were American soldiers, they would be afraid that they would complain before they could practice for a while, while Chinese soldiers trained spontaneously, consciously and enthusiastically, so that they sometimes had to get another batch of ammunition to replenish them.

What the American instructors don’t know is that the enthusiasm of the soldiers is not entirely a “spirit of hardship”, but a feeling of fear of poverty and hunger… In the past, they were always short of ammunition, but now they suddenly have no shortages. The ability to make up for a little more ammunition can fill the insecurity in their hearts. They even feel that they have taken advantage of it.

During shooting training, the soldiers quickly fell in love with the m1 rifle.

The gangster only hit a few magazines and sighed: "Damn it, Americans' things are good. There are no need to pull the bolt of this gun... There are eight bullets, and you can finish eight bullets in one breath! It's great!"

"Yes!" Xiao Zhejiang raised his head and wiped his sweat. He said, "This gun is a bit heavy, but I don't know how much firepower is larger than the Japanese 38th hood!"

"It's better than the 38th big cover?" The young man pressed a magazine on the rifle, aiming at the target in the distance, and said: "It's much better than the British guy's gun!"

"His grandma!" The devil shook his rifle and cursed angrily: "The Americans have such a good thing but don't take it out. If they had equipped our troops early in the morning...will the Japanese have let us fight for it long ago?"

"That's it!" The soldiers responded again with me.

But in fact, this is no wonder that the Americans are. The fast firing rate means that the ammunition is consumed quickly. At this time, China's logistics supply capacity can be said to be not suitable for equipping this kind of semi-automatic rifle.

Before the soldiers could say a few words, the American instructor rudely cursed him not far away: "I saw several old ladies whispering to each other. If this is on the battlefield, do you understand?"

Of course, only Zhang Chi can understand this scolding.

However, although the soldiers did not understand, they knew that the instructor was asking them to concentrate on training, so they hurriedly stopped their mouths and focused their attention on the half-chest target in the distance.

The training was carried out in an orderly manner. Compared with the Chinese army, the US military paid more attention to courage and spirit, while the training of the US military paid more attention to tactics and cooperation.

This sometimes makes the soldiers feel a little uncomfortable. For example, when Butan cooperates, many soldiers will rush forward "heroically" in front of the tank... This should be encouraged and praised by the Chinese army. But they were quickly scolded by the instructor: "Hey, you are dead, you are already corpses. Do you understand? The dead will not play any role in the battlefield. If it does any effect, it is to add a sumptuous dinner to the beast!"

Soon after, Zhang Chi successfully became the company commander again, and his military rank was officially promoted to captain, receiving a military salary of 160 rupees per month.

The reason why military pay was paid in rupee was because at this time Myanmar was in war, and its currency had long collapsed so much that it was not worth much. Because the war did not spread to India, the people of northern Myanmar could also use rupee to buy things from American soldiers or even go to India to buy things. So the ones that could be used were rupees.

This 160 rupees is not a small number, because at this time, 3 rupees can be exchanged for one US dollar. So by converting this, there is more than fifty US dollars in military pay every month. If you get it from the country, it will definitely be a high-paying class.

However, ordinary soldiers do not have such high military pay. New soldiers are 1 rupees per month, 14 rupees in sergeants, and 16 rupees in sergeants... Although this military pay is still a big gap compared to Captain Zhang Chi, it is undoubtedly from hell to heaven compared to the situation where he could not even have enough food to eat. Therefore, the soldiers are all satisfied and feel that there is nothing to be picky about in this kind of military life.

What made the soldiers feel a little unhappy... These Americans kept saying "democracy, freedom, and equality", but they did one thing and took strict racial discrimination measures at the base.

For example, in this training base, it can be said that Americans dominate everything. Although it is not stated clearly, American instructors will consciously divide people into four completely different types of citizens: first-class citizens take for granted white Americans, second-class citizens are Chinese officers and soldiers, and third-class citizens are black soldiers of the US military (Note: The United States did not have equal rights in the legal sense until the Civil Rights Act passed the Civil Rights Act in 1964. Before that, the law even had clear provisions to discriminate against black people), and fourth-class citizens were Burmese people who were servile in the base and Indian people recruited from India.

The living facilities of these four classes are strictly separated, especially Americans, who have separate cafeterias, clubs, cinemas, hospitals, dormitories, bathhouses, etc. Americans even post notices in their living areas: "Only Americans are allowed to enter here, and others are not allowed to enter without permission. Violators will be punished."
