Thoughts of 2018
It is said that the latest generation of post-90s generation has grown up this year, and the earliest ones are on the way to the third year, so I really thank you for your willingness to listen to me, a greasy middle-aged man born in the 1990s, who is talking here. (Inside: "I'll always be an 18-year-old cute girl.")
First of all, the handsome author Jun is here to say Happy New Year’s Day to you.
Thank you all for your kindness, for allowing me to write a book for three years without a eunuch.
I still remember the day I wrote my first book in Black Rock was December 22, 2014, which was exactly a few days in more than three years.
The first book in Black Rock was the first person of Doomsday "The Final Evolution". When I was signed, God knew how excited I was. After all, in the past six months, I traveled to multiple websites and had no income at all.
I remember the first manuscript fee for "The Final Evolution" was more than 200 yuan, and I was excited for a long time at that time.
In fact, although this first book was written in fear, it was also a beginning.
However, when I wrote the second book "The Final Redemption" and the third book "The Endless Desolation", my grades were not as good as the first one.
At that time, I kept doubting myself and didn’t know whether to continue this path, because the income from those two books was not enough to support myself.
Within a year and a half after graduating from university, it was probably the most painful time. Everything rushed together. My mother was hospitalized and almost gave up the path of online literature.
But after thinking about it, I decided to give it a try and make a change, so the third person "Dark Age" was created.
The results of "The Age of Darkness" are better than the first book, at least making my life less difficult, but to be honest, "The Age of Darkness" is not enough to give me the confidence to go on this path.
What really made me hope is "Returning to Campus in Cultivation".
At the beginning of 2017, I was actually the doomsday, but the editor said, let me give it a try.
I hardly read books on the city, nor have I ever thought about writing about the city, because I don’t know how to write about ambiguity.
If you can't write, you can only read it. After finishing the Dark Age, you took a break for a while and read books crazily, reading everything.
Later, he gritted his teeth and started a few things, and finally started to return from cultivating immortals.
Can't write... I'm confused... I'm frightened...
This was my idea at that time. I don’t know what kind of characteristics and style I should use when writing about the city. I thought of several big plots and set up a system of power, and then I went straight to it.
I set a general goal for myself to write pretentiousness and relaxation, and it should be slightly different from other urban articles, but I am a person who has no fun in real life.
Do you really believe that a person who is not good at speaking can write a relaxed and humorous style of writing?
Anyway, I don't believe it myself.
Everyone should be able to see what kind of person Chu Jianjian is, and I am the completely opposite of Chu Jianjian.
I want to create a character with a completely opposite personality to myself.
I want him to be humorous, I want him to be passionate, I want him to have dreams, I want him to cry and laugh, I want him to have some wisdom.
Then, I started to collect various sentences, even if I saw a fun sentence when I was browsing Weibo, watching a talk show, and complaining, I immediately recorded it.
Many of the creation of a character come from the plot, so I started to think about the plot, what is the general plot, what will be a weird plot, and what will be a weirder plot.
For example, in Qianlong Villa, Chu Jianjian practices his body with thunder and lightning.
Generally, the plot is like thunder, so I want to be weirder. At that time, the computer just ran out of power, so I connected it to the power supply... so I asked him to use the plug-in board.
However, using a wiring board is not enough! For Chu Jianjian, it is indeed not strange to lead to the electric training in the wiring board.
Then, for some reason, I thought of the north licking the iron rod with my tongue in winter, and then Chu Jianjian used his tongue to suck electricity.
All these plots will enrich the image of a protagonist, rather than relying on the protagonist to pretend to be slap in the face and say a few words.
This book has many bottlenecks and is written stumblingly. This is also the first time I write about the city, and many places have not been dealt with well.
However, so far, I am generally satisfied with the writing and I have not started to get water because I have reached more than three million words. I racked my brains to think about the plot every day, and basically kept the fourth update. The front bunch of hair turned much white, which was sad.
But it doesn’t matter. This book is really important to me. I saw that it turns out that I can still write books like this and write this style. Thanks to everyone’s love, this book is basically in the top ten of the subscription list.
If I were asked to choose one of my favorite plots in this book, it was the plot of Chu Jiajia Banquet, which was both back and forth, especially the climax that was laid until the end, it was so comfortable to write. There were no memes in this plot that referenced other urban books.
The character that I feel most is not the protagonist. Because the protagonist needs it, he is so perfect, and he actually prefers the great elders of the Yanhuang clan.
I like tragic characters, but I am not good at writing tragic characters. The Great Elder is a relatively successful one.
He is tall and powerful, but he is rigid. His stereotype and stubbornness come from his experience and is caused by his responsibilities.
He has experienced too much, seen through too much, and tried too much, so he was unmoved to face the protagonist.
He didn't care about what others thought of him. He just wanted to inherit his own race. Maybe this is why he could master the torch.
He was almost the only immortal who survived from the Chaos Age.
The protagonist can fight and be ready to die, but he cannot. This is a matter of experience.
The Great Elder naturally would not disappear like this, and the Yanhuang clan would also reappear, but these are all the plots that followed.
Now that this book has been written here, I'm afraid the biggest pitfalls are-
What is destiny?
What is a sword-holder?
What will happen to the complete Eight Precepts?
What happens to long-term biomass and dead substances?
I will fill in the pit one by one after another.
I originally wanted the protagonist to solve the Heavenly Court first and then start a battle with Xuanji.
But then I thought about it, whether it is the Heavenly Court or the Mystery, it is just a product under the control of destiny.
Instead of doing this, it is better to let them fight first and let the protagonist accumulate strength first.
There are about 1.2 million words left before the book is finished.
To be honest, the grades of this book are indeed good, and I can write more and more, but I don’t want to be so. After I finish writing, I will finish it. It is not only the best explanation to you, but also the explanation to myself.
It was tiring to write this book, but it was also very happy.
I am tired because sometimes I don’t want to write characters with too much facials, so I have to create a supporting role through different aspects.
I am just a person, and I have to create many different supporting roles with a lot of updates. Just naming a name is a headache.
Haha, I really want to complain, I really want to keep up with the third update, so that the burden will be easier, especially a few days ago, when I was in poor health and I fell asleep on the day of the fever, and woke up confused.
But no matter what, this book has been persisted, and the number of updates of tens of thousands of words per day is not small in the online literature industry.
It is not scary to update ten thousand words a day, but what is scary is to update ten thousand words a day.
However, although this book has flaws of all sizes, it is at least what I am most satisfied with at the moment.
After thinking about it, why did I write such a protagonist, I suddenly thought of a famous saying.
"There is only one kind of heroism in the world, that is, after realizing the truth of life, we still love life."
This is Chu Jianjian, and I hope it is you.
Don't complain that the number of words I summarized in this chapter is the same as writing a novel, because it's not finished yet.
In the new year, I hope to write a better book. I will probably take a break after finishing it and then continue to work hard.
By the way, I opened a WeChat official account, and I was abandoned by the past, which was ashamed.
You can search for "Author Black Rice". Later today, I will upload a spoof extra "Chu Jianjian: New Year's Day Chapter" on the official account. I hope you will not come to chase me after reading it.
This kind of extras is not easy to upload in Heiyan, and it is too affecting reading. I will put any extras on the public account in the future, or if you want to see any extras, you can also leave a message there. I will write it when I have time, as a transfer.
Thank you for being able to see this, thank Brother Wang for your encouragement, thank the "King of Flame" for choosing typos for me every day, thank my editor general, and thank the Heiyan platform.
Finally, Chu Jianjian, who is pure, kind and handsome, has a little understanding of swordsmanship, tell you, Happy New Year’s Day!
