Chapter 45 Five-man squad

The night slowly immersed in this small town in the western United States. The people in the town were warned and returned home early. However, some were not afraid and insisted on staying outside. They were caught in the police station and went to the police station to wake up. They were dissatisfied and shouted.

"Shut up, damn bastards, don't think that you are staying here to restrict you. This is saving you idiots and arrogant men. Be quiet!" A policeman cursed at the few people locked in the detention room.

"It's dark, man! I really don't want to see the night coming, which reminds me of Satan." Another policeman muttered in a low voice, "I hope that this evening can make people spend it peacefully."

"Hey, those people are like they were released from the umbrella company. God knows how this is the case? Is this world really going to become a doomsday scene? Maybe I should go back and prepare for the food and water for escape, by the way... and clothes and shoes. I promised my wife, and I was going to fill my car with gas."

"Bless the United States!" said the policeman.

"God guarantees my daughter...and my wife!" Another policeman sighed and said, "Let's go, man, it may be a lucky thing for us to accompany these bastards tonight."

"Who knows, those zombies don't follow the rules. Maybe they will target you first, and your blood may be better..."

"Don't they all eat only meat? Only vampires can drink blood, it's really disgusting..." The two of them said as they walked, and walked out of the detention room and locked the iron door with a "clang".

"Hey, you...what are you talking about? What zombie vampire? Hey... were you dealing with zombies last night? Open the door...let us go out, damn it, let us go out, mom--" When the detained heard this, one or two couldn't help but feel a little creepy. In desperation, even mother called out.

"Stop scaring yourself, how is this possible? I really think there are companies like umbrellas in this world? Zombies? This is not Hollywood!" Some people contempt disdainfully.

No matter what happened to these people, no one would care about these people who were locked in the detention room. However, when the night slowly descended, the whole town was like a big enemy, and police cars kept patrolling the streets of the town to prevent any residents from running out of their homes.

Around the town, more and more police officers and FBI people were spreading, and they were on guard. Many police dogs were released and searched from all directions. The helicopters used searchlights to strafuse the ground from time to time in the air, trying to find something. Around the town, an encirclement has been formed. Drones equipped with infrared and thermal imagers were also released to conduct low-altitude detection along the woods.

"What did you find?" Sheriff Louise asked Officer Patton who had been following in a tent outside the town. This is the temporary command post of the FBI. Some people are busy inside, listening to reports from those who are searching outside at any time. Or are the directly responsible persons Bell Jansen and Edgar Page.

"Not yet. If you can't find anything again, you can only let Joseph and Mr. Cotter come over." Officer Parton said to Sheriff Louise, "If you can convince them, I think... we will have no problem cooperating." As he said that, he glanced at the two FBI leaders next to him.

"We don't need their cooperation. We do our own things. I don't want these two guys to get promoted and make money." Louise snorted, "I'll call Joseph!" Then she turned around and left the tent.

"Hey, Sheriff Louise!" Officer Parton called her behind her, "What should I do with that fish?"

"What should I do?" Sheriff Louise looked at him in surprise.

"You said that Mr. Jia asked to burn the fish, but now it is placed in a freezer in Texas. What are you going to do? Let those bastards use that fish?" Officer Parton walked to Sheriff Louise. As the two walked out, Parton said gritting his teeth.

"Don't be stupid. It makes sense for Mr. Jia to let you burn that fish. If they use the DNA of the fish to create more killing machines like that fish, then... you can't guarantee that this is a realistic version of Resident Evil?" Officer Parton couldn't help but slapped his head.

"What can I do? I said, I said it to the responsible bastard many times, but they couldn't destroy something of great value like this. Hell... what can I do?" Sheriff Louise couldn't help complaining, "If it caused a Resident Evil, it wasn't my problem."

"Your problem is that you, and me, and our family may be victims of this crisis. Think clearly!" Sheriff Parton hummed, and he had a lot of opinions about Sheriff Louise now, "I will ask Mr. Jia to solve this problem."

"He is not omnipotent!" Sheriff Louise looked at him turning around and said to his back.

Officer Parton paused and said without looking back: "It's better than doing nothing!"

Sheriff Louise shook her head, and in desperation, she had to take out her cell phone and solve the problem in front of her first. She called Joseph.

"Hey, Sheriff Louise, we've arrived, right outside of you, but your people are going to let us go back!" After Joseph answered the phone, he complained, and some noisy sounds did come from the phone, as if there was something wrong.

Sheriff Louise hurried out and saw from a distance that Joseph and Mr. Cotter had arrived outside the cordon, and they were trying to explain something with a police officer. Seeing Sheriff Louise come out, she waved to her: "Please convince them, I have explained it, they will not listen."

Sheriff Louise went over and said to the officer: "This is what I invited..."

"I'm sorry, the sheriff, it was Inspector Bell Jensen who told me, unless it was Mr. Jia himself, the rest of the people, could not enter. We do not allow ordinary town residents to come in. Sorry!" The police officer looked at Sheriff Louise with some apology and said, "Don't make it difficult for me to do it."

Sheriff Louise gritted her teeth and whispered "Damn it", then said to the two of them: "Okay, we won't go in, we'll find it ourselves... There's no problem, right?" The latter sentence was said to the officer.

The police officer made way and said, "I haven't received such an order."

So Sheriff Louise walked out of the line of territory and called Officer Parton again: "Parton, I have now met with Joseph and Mr. Cotter. You go get your weapons now. The shotgun is the best. We are waiting for you on the periphery."

"As for orders, sir!" Officer Parton said excitedly and hung up the phone.

By the time Officer Parton came, he was not alone, and another person followed him. It was Officer Santos. He carried a Thunder Ding shotgun and the bullets surrounded him around his waist.

"I want to come and help!" He said nervously when he saw Sheriff Louise, "I know... this is very unruly, but I have nothing to do in the police station anyway. I can do some work that is more meaningful than serving tea and water. This is an opportunity, Sheriff..." As he said that, he looked at Sheriff Louise with his eyes.

"Then let's do it together!" Sheriff Louise was too lazy to talk nonsense and nodded in agreement.

So the five people left the cordon and distanced themselves from the police, the FBI search team and the defense forces. In a place where there was no one, the five people stopped.

"Okay, we have to find those two damn zombies now, especially that woman." Joseph said to them, then slowly opened his hand and learned the method Jia Huan told him. He made a somewhat complicated move in the palm of his hand, and he flicked his finger.

Suddenly, a bird flew out of his palm. He flew into the air, and was shouting, but he did not leave, but just hovering in the sky.

"Oh my god, Joseph... are you a magician? I've seen the trick of making birds out of my hat!" Santos screamed in surprise and looked at Joseph in surprise.
