Chapter 30 Detention

Of course, Jia Huan has no accomplices. He has been walking alone for more than a hundred years. However, he understands the rules of this world. He does not want to use his special abilities to violate the rules of this world.

Sheriff Louise was a little helpless about Jia Huan, but she didn't plan to hand over Jia Huan to the two bastards of the FBI. She knew at a glance that the two guys didn't care about the case at all. After they left, they never contacted themselves again, and they didn't even go during the autopsy, but just waited for the autopsy report in the office.

"Don't mention the psychic to me, I don't believe it..."

"Don't you believe in God and hell?" Jia Huan shook his head and said, "I have indeed seen many people who do not believe in religion, but some people who believe in God can save their souls but do not believe that their souls can still go to hell."

"Everyone wants to go to heaven, I just want an answer, Huan? Mr. Jia, listen... either tell me how you know the place where the body is hidden, or I will find a way to keep you here for a while, and I promise, this place will become your nightmare." Sheriff Louise felt as if he had no patience with this guy.

"I may be repeating it. I just survive on this!" Jia Huan shrugged his shoulders and said with a helpless expression, "You can't believe it, but I can only give such an answer, and... I have reminded me again and again, Mr. Luke Prescott, he is really in danger. Can't you send someone to protect him? Or let him leave that damn place?"

"Why?"

"Because of the soul of that corpse..." Jia Huan said to Sheriff Louise seriously, "Because it is a cursed soul and cannot rest in hell, it turns into a ghost. Do you know why this is the case? I think she is wearing a red dress when she was killed, which is a taboo."

"I can't send people rashly because of your alarmist words." Sheriff Louise was unmoved.

"What if I report the case?" Jia Huan said, "Although I know he may not necessarily listen to Joseph's advice, I still think he can avoid this crisis. He should have survived for a while. But... his dig out the corpse, which is equivalent to completely releasing the cursed soul."

Sheriff Louise seemed to be listening to an extremely funny joke, with a playful smile on her face, holding her hands in front of her chest, and then shrugged at Jia Huan playfully, signaling him to continue.

"The owner of the villa... no matter who it is, he will die--" Jia Huan suddenly put his face in front of Sheriff Louise, and said to her in a gloomy tone.

This scared her, because he was so fast that she had no time to dodge the guy's rash movements. She instinctively leaned back and almost fell to the ground. But fortunately she stabilized, and then jumped away quickly, and pressed the gun holster on her waist with one hand.

"Is it necessary to be so nervous? Sheriff, I'm just talking closer to you." Jia Huan smiled slightly, leaned back, and then smiled at Sheriff Louise.

"You will regret it." Sheriff Louise said.

"Is this a threat?" Jia Huan smiled indifferently, "Listen, if you don't let Luke Prescott leave, you will regret it."

Sheriff Louise looked at him with some disbelief and shook his head: "Mr. Jia, I remember Mr. Prescott ruined the appointment in front of you. Why do you still want to help him? Even if you say the truth - you are a psychic, in fact, you are a fake psychic."

Jia Huan stopped talking and closed his eyes.

Sheriff Louise looked at Jia Huan. She felt that he was not the kind of rookie who had entered the police station for the first time, and she felt that she couldn't ask anything, so she had to stand up in disappointment and prepare to leave. The guy clearly looked silent. To be honest, she really had no good way to deal with that kind of old fry.

Jia Huan stopped talking throughout the whole process. Seeing Sheriff Louise leave, she sat there closing her eyes to rest. She said everything she should say, it was called leaving the will of fate.

Sheriff Louise went out and said to a police officer next to her: "I'll leave this bastard to you. Be careful, don't talk nonsense to him, he's no longer a rookie."

The policeman laughed, nodded, and then closed the door, so he was too lazy to interfere. Sheriff Louise returned to her office and flipped it around casually. But Jia Huan's words seemed to be on her ears and could not be removed. This made her a little annoyed and threw the documents she had obtained aside.

Picking up the phone, dialing the internal number, and then saying to the phone: "Officer Parton, please come to my office." No matter what, she decided to send someone to check it out.

After a while, I heard a knock on the door and said "Please come in", and saw Deputy Sheriff Parton come in, nodding at her, then sat opposite her office, and smiled and said, "What did that bastard say? Are you still pretending to be a ghost? Don't believe his tricks. I've heard him say he is a psychic before."

"Have you heard of it?" Sheriff Louise felt like she was being played with, and glared at him dissatisfiedly, "Why didn't you tell me before?"

"Because I think he is a charlatan and a cheater, I arrested him for two days and locked him up for a little bit of color." Officer Parton smiled, "But... don't worry, leave this matter to me, I will do it for you. Don't worry. By the way... Is there anything wrong with asking me to come in now?"

Sheriff Louise nodded: "Yes, there is something to hand over to you now. Go to Mr. Luke Prescott's house and let him leave his house, no matter where he goes, just don't stay at home tonight."

"Why?" Officer Parton looked at Sheriff Louise with some disbelief. "We don't seem to have any right to ask him to do this... Why is it me? Then...what does that guy do? I'm talking about the charlatan who is still locked in the interrogation room. I just said that I'm responsible for him..."

"Not now!" Sheriff Louise spread his hands at him, "Go and do this. I don't care what you do. In short, let him leave his home and don't stay at home and wait for death..."

"Stay at home and wait for death? Ahha-this...what does this have to do with him leaving home? Oh... Oh...good, you shouldn't have believed that charlatan, right? Marlin...I think you seem to have fallen into that kid's trap..." Officer Parton said to her with disbelief.

"Do you know what you are talking about? Officer Parton, I am the sheriff in the police station now, and you... are just a deputy sheriff. I hope you can understand this as soon as possible so that you can do your job better." Sheriff Louise couldn't help but raise his voice a lot.

Officer Parton was speechless by the words of Chief Louise, but he could only stand up reluctantly. This was a bit self-esteem, but there was no way, he was just a deputy sheriff. What he had to do now was to obey orders. So he nodded to Chief Louise and said, "Yes, obey, sheriff!" and turned around and left.

They were all those damn Chinese, and he was making trouble for these things. He had heard what Jia Huan said in Luke Prescott's villa. So he attributed these resentment to Jia Huan.

When passing by the interrogation room, he glared at Jia Huan sitting inside. However, the guy was closing his eyes and resting, and didn't notice him at all.

So he stopped the policeman standing at the door and said, "Santos, take your equipment and go out with me. Damn it, there are always some annoying things."

"Did you have an argument with your boss?" said the officer named Santos to Officer Parton. "I think she is a little nervous. I mean, she tightens herself, like a spring, and can pop out at any time or hurt others."

"I know, so we are the ones who are accidentally injured by the spring." Officer Parton hummed, "I hope that bastard is right, otherwise I will make him look good."
