Chapter 10 The Secret in the Lake

The two of them seemed to have stopped gaze. They just looked at each other.

"Hey, I know you, I know what your name is, but you may not necessarily know what my name is... Get out of the way, Mr. Jia, don't block my way. A man like you can't find a girlfriend, and you can never..." In the end, Elizabeth couldn't help but stick his head out of the window and shouted loudly at Jia Huan.

Jia Huan shrugged her shoulders, spread her hands, then slowly measured her body, and gave way. It seemed as if he had really just blocked her path unconsciously.

Elizabeth was a little surprised. She started the car and drove slowly over Jia Huan. When she passed by Jia Huan, she looked at him in surprise, then turned her head and ignored it. With a foot of the accelerator, the car rushed away.

The car ran on the road, and she felt relieved as she watched Jia Huan throw her from afar. Yes, the pressure that Jia Huan just now brought to her was very great.

After turning two turns, Elizabeth drove the car into her villa. She drove into the garage. When she came out, she saw her father sitting in the living room. Seeing her come in, she waved her hand and signaled, "Come here, Elizabeth, I think it's time for us to talk."

Elizabeth nodded. She never disobeyed her father, so she walked over and sat carefully beside him. But she was obviously a little absent-minded now.

"Do you know why we have adhered to the ancestral teachings for so many years?" The middle-aged man looked at Elizabeth and frowned. "I know you have a deep relationship with Lisa, but this is not the reason why you risked her. Your move will put our entire family in danger."

"No, no, that day... only Mr. Cox knew that he was Lisa's father. He would not say this, otherwise the police would have started to doubt it long ago..." Elizabeth argued weakly, but she knew that these rebuttals were unconvincing, so as she spoke, her voice lowered.

"Shaan Brill is dead. His body was found by the lake. The police are already investigating the incident. I think they will investigate here soon... Hell, you will stay at home these days, and don't think about going anywhere." The middle-aged man snorted, stood up, and walked upstairs.

Elizabeth felt a little aggrieved. What if the police found the body? There would be no mistake in this matter, and her father was too careful. She also turned around and wanted to go back to the room, but suddenly a person's face, a Chinese face, his eyes seemed to penetrate her body.

She waved her head hard, trying to throw the shadow of this person out. She laughed secretly with self-deprecating smile, then turned around and walked towards her room. No matter what, she didn't want to deal with this Chinese.

When she pushed open the door, she walked in a daze. She just closed the door casually. When she turned around, she opened it and wanted to exclaim, but she covered her mouth hard and did not exclaim. Her back leaned against the door, secretly pressing on the handle, but she couldn't open the door.

Sitting alone on a chair beside him, the bed was next to him. This person was either someone else or the Chinese who didn't want to see him very much. Yes, that's Jia Huan. Damn, why did he find his home? And he actually arrived before him and sneaked into his room.

"Wait, Elizabeth, don't be nervous... relax, relax. You know I have no malice, otherwise you won't be back today. I know what you are...animals! Don't look at me like this, I know." Jia Huan nodded to her, then pointed to the bedside and signaled.

"I just want to have a good talk with you." Jia Huan shrugged his shoulders, "Do you understand what I mean just now? I know what kind of animal you are."

"You know very well? No, you don't know anything!" Elizabeth's mouth was still very hard.

"Of course I know. Why don't you take this photo?" Jia Huan said, and suddenly a round thing came out of his pocket, looking like a mirror. And it was a very cheap little round mirror. It was still on the edge of the bed, and Elizabeth would take it into her hand as long as she curled her waist.

Elizabeth looked at Jia Huan in confusion. She seemed to have no malice when she saw Jia Huan, but she slowly moved to the bed with caution, reached out and held the mirror in her hand, and looked at Jia Huan vigilantly: "What do you want me to look at? Ah--" With a scream, the mirror fell on the floor with a bang.

Jia Huan smiled slightly: "You know what it means to ask you to take a photo now?" He did not move, but nodded instead and said, "You can pick it up and take a photo. This mirror is called Zhao Yao Mirror in our Taoist Chinese. It can reflect the prototypes of many strange mutant creatures."

"This is impossible...how could there be such a thing?" Elizabeth was shocked in her heart. She held back the fear in her heart. Driven by curiosity, she slowly stretched out her hand and picked up the mirror. It was not broken. One hand slowly raised, and a terrifying face appeared in the mirror in the mirror.

The wolf's face, hairy head, green eyes and snow-white sharp teeth. All of this made her feel stormy waves in her heart. Resisting the urge to scream, she slowly put down the mirror, breathed a deep breath, and said to Jia Huan: "Are there many such mirrors?"

This girl is so smart that she suddenly thought of a faraway place. If such mirrors are flooded, it means that she and her family will never be able to live in human society anymore. So her heart was instantly overwhelmed by anxiety.

"No, this is my patent, I don't plan to use this for money." Jia Huan laughed, "In this world, there is only such a mirror. It used to be made of copper, but now it is made of glass and keep pace with the times!" This seems like a joke, but Elizabeth has no intention of experiencing this joke.

"What do you want..." Since the other party already knew his identity, this was enough to make Elizabeth alert, and even made a roaring expression, indicating that he might turn into a wolf at any time and kill him.

Jia Huan nodded and said to her: "Relax, Elizabeth, if I were to be bad for you, I would have done it long ago and would not have waited until now. I just want to figure out one thing."

"What's up?"

"You know, Sean Brill is dead. But when the police found his body today, there was only a skeleton left. Of course... it was not all a skeleton. At least some of the flesh on the head had not been removed..." Jia Huan seemed to be telling a very ordinary thing.

"It's so disgusting..." Elizabeth snorted.

"I know you don't eat human flesh, and you haven't eaten it for many years. At least this is the case for more than ten years here. So... even if you hate him, you won't eat him. Such people, even if they have meat, are dirty and disdainful." Jia Huan continued.

"Of course, I just threw him into the lake, so I won't... You're cheating, shit, you're so despicable!" Elizabeth said, suddenly awakening, stopped the topic, and glared at Jia Huan. She was now full of anger and uneasiness, staring at Jia Huan's every move.

It was like telling her own affairs without asking for help. She thought she had fallen into Jia Huan's language trap, which made her a little angry.

"I said, I'm not interested in what you killed Sean Brell that bastard. I just want to know what's in the lake? I've been here for more than ten years. This is the first time I know that there is a creature I don't know hidden in the lake. This really surprised me." Jia Huan didn't care about her demonstration and anger at all, and spoke according to her own ideas. He didn't eat Elizabeth's set.

But Jia Huan's words still attracted her attention. Yes, she just threw the bastard into the lake, which was not a murder. The bastard could swim and would definitely crawl out by himself. But now he is dead. Of course... if all this could have happened without biting his bones into pieces.

She didn't say that she had bit Briel's bones. She just snorted a little embarrassedly, shrugged her shoulders, and spread her hands: "Don't have a problem, I don't know. If it hasn't appeared in more than ten years and now it appears, then I must have never seen it... I'm only eighteen years old!"

"You are right, maybe your parents know, maybe they don't. I'll find some time to ask..."

"No... let me ask, and then I will tell you, okay?" Elizabeth waved her hand nervously at Aizhan and said, "Please, I don't want my parents to get involved in trouble. This... is something I caused. I have to settle it, okay?"

Jia Huan seemed to ponder for a moment, then nodded and said to Elizabeth, "Okay, I'll give you a day, tomorrow... I'll wait for you in my room. I hope you can keep your promise!" As he said that, he stood up and prepared to walk towards the door.

Elizabeth quickly leaned against the door and shook her head: "You can't go out from here, and I won't disturb my parents. They are indifferent to the world... I did it..."

Before she could finish her words, she saw Jia Huan suddenly disappear into the room. It was like air, scattered in the air, and never appeared before.
