943 600 million box office

In the second week of August, the "Rampant Road" fell by 38%, with a box office of 22 million on the weekend, winning five consecutive championships. Unfortunately, it was not able to break the weekend box office record of 30 million on the fifth week of the "Titanic" and rank second in film history. The most disappointing work this week is undoubtedly the "World Trade Center" starring Nicholas Cage. It has an investment of 65 million, and the premiere weekend was only 18 million, which is the same level as the "Banshees in the Water", and even lost to the youth singing and dancing movie "Dance My Life". In addition, the box office of "Taladega Night" plummeted by 53%.

In the third week of August, "Raging Road" fell by 36%, with a box office of 14 million on the weekend, and won six consecutive championships. In addition to losing to "Titanic", he also lags behind the box office data of "Supernatural Sixth Sense" and "Slim Daddy" in the sixth week of 16 million, ranking fourth in film history. This new thriller action movie "Flight Snake Disease" almost pulled "Raging Road" down. This small-budget movie starring Samuel Jackson was 13.8 million on the premiere weekend, which is surprising. Unfortunately, he narrowly defeated "Taladega Night" by a slight gap, but still lost to "Raging Road".

In the fourth week of August, the "Raging Road" fell by 42%, with a box office of 8.1 million on the weekend, falling to the runner-up. There was no surprise in the box office this week. The North American film market, which entered the last week of the summer, was calm. The inspirational work "The Invincible Man" starring Mark Wahlberg won 17 million on the weekend box office. The good performance ended the "Raging Road"'s consecutive championship journey, but there was still a lack of surprises. The outstanding performance of the "Flight Snake Suffer" last week plummeted by 55% this week, and directly fell to the eighth place in the weekend box office rankings. The performance can only be said to be average.

"Raging Road" regretfully fixed its winning weeks for six weeks. Not to mention breaking the historical record of "Titanic" for 15 consecutive weeks, even the top ten could not squeeze into the list of consecutive championship records. But "Raging Road" was the second work after "Titanic" in 1997, with more than five weeks of winning weeks - the last work that completed five consecutive championships was the "Supernatural Sixth Sense" in 1999.

In the 1980s and 1990s, there were quite a lot of works that won the championship for consecutive years, but after entering the 21st century, the entire market was full of flowers and showed prosperity. It was almost impossible to copy this feat again. Even so, the "Rampant Road" achieved an incredible six consecutive championships, and the box office momentum was really a huge surprise when the records were broken in the previous four weeks.

It can be clearly felt that after the huge energy burst out around the four sides, the box office explosive power of the "Raging Road" behind it was inevitably restricted by market laws, and the subsequent box office naturally slowed down gradually. But this still did not damage the "Raging Road" to create history - after all, the accumulated advantages before were too obvious.

Then the September autumn season entered the off-season. In the absence of strong competitive works, "Raging Road" delivered an outstanding decline of less than 15% for three consecutive weeks, continuing its influence from the summer season to the autumn season; in order to drive the movie box office, Chaos Film launched the second round of screening expansion in October, increasing the screening venues from 730 in the fourth week of September to 1,200, and added the theaters in a small range in the following two weeks, which brought a percentage to the movie.

The box office increase of 318 became a new driving force; and then in order to welcome the arrival of the awards season, the film had its third round of screenings in the third week of January, and the venue increased from 99 rooms to 460 rooms in one go. Thanks to the popularity of the awards season, the film ushered in an incredible increase of 7,000%. Finally, the film was released in the first week of March 2007, and it took 35 weeks to show the screening curve of an art film.

Such a curve reminds people of two films, "Titanic", which was released forty-one weeks; "Lord of the Rings 3", which has a release cycle of twenty-six weeks. This is not the way of operating commercial movies, but the way of operating art films that impact Oscars.

On August 16, the cumulative box office of "Raging Road" in North America officially exceeded the 500 million threshold, becoming the second work in film history to reach this level, which took only 33 days; on September 14, the cumulative box office of "Raging Road" exceeded 550 million, and the pace of impacting 600 million slowed down infinitely. For a moment, all suspense emerged again.

After all, "Rampant Road" is not "Titanic". As an R-level movie, the main market has almost been completely overdrawn. When it is under the age of seventeen, "Rampant Road" is really weak. Before this, the North American record and global record of R-level movies were maintained by two works respectively. The 370 million "The Passion of Jesus" was a North American record, while the 740 million "The Matrix 2" was a global record. In other words, this is the highest limit of film history, but now the "Rampant Road" is going to hit a height of 600 million in North America? At this moment, people realized how difficult this record is. It is not just the highest film history record of "Titanic", but the "Rampant Road" is also burdened with the R-level constraints and has difficulty walking, and has passed 550 million. This is already a myth.

But it is obvious that the wheel of history will not stop moving forward because of these suspicions.

January 10, 2007, this is a day that has been recorded in history. The North American box office of the "Raging Road" exceeded the 600 million threshold!

This not only marks the second 600 million box office work in North America; it also marks that even for R-level movies, the box office potential of the North American market is still far beyond imagination. Just when everyone thought that "Pirates of the Caribbean 2" would become the winner and loser to change history, the "Rampage Road" came out. The breakthrough of this work really made the entire North American film market all over the world, from R-level grading, to cult style, to live visual effects, as well as the return to retro action types, eliminating gender discrimination, publicity methods of viral videos, etc., from shooting techniques to marketing methods, it has broken the industry's inherent concepts in all aspects, and truly made people feel the historical footsteps since the 21st century.

In the history of movies, it can be simply divided into several nodes. The emergence of "Citizen Kane" means the innovation of filming techniques. "Male and Female Robber" divides Hollywood into the old era and the new era. "Great White Shark" means that commercial films have entered a new stage. "Star Wars" is the starting point of the summer season, and "Titanic" is the beginning of the blockbuster era led by computer visual effects.

Now, "Rampant Road" has redefined the movie, not only expanding the challenges of the movie in the rating system, but also increasing the R-level movies will inevitably receive more attention. Does this mean that there will be more heavy-tasting works in the future? At the same time, it has also redefined the cult style and a new interpretation of the strong individualistic characteristics of steampunk and metal rock. Does this mean that the selection range of film themes and styles will be further expanded in the future; it also gives new vitality to niche cultures such as otaku, technology, and two-dimensional. Although the movie is not a comic adaptation work, the rich comic adaptation style and niche characteristics similar to comics make people see business opportunities, which also means that the heyday of comics has officially begun.

600 million? The record of "Raging Road" is indeed 600 million, but not just 600 million. The powerful influence of this work is enough to be recorded in history and written into textbooks, giving people a new understanding of the development of films. One hundred and seventy-one days, the "Raging Road" finally achieved this, reaching a height that later generations must admire - perhaps, one day in the future, there will be a second and third work of 600 million, just like the "Raging Road" hitting the "Titanic". There may even be a second R-level movie with a breakthrough of 600 million in the future, but there may not be a work that can exude an incompatible non-mainstream atmosphere like "Raging Road", but it will be earth-shaking the entire mainstream market.

January 10, 2007, this was indeed a day that was recorded in history.

After that, the sprint pace of the "Raging Road" obviously began to stagger. Even with the blessing and warm-up of the awards season, the entire market has been overdrawn. Under the restrictions of the R-level, almost no one can contribute more box office. In the end, the North American box office of "Raging Road" stopped at 613 million.

"Titanic" has maintained the box office title of North American film history for nine years, officially relegated, and "Rampant Road" has been unbelievably crowned the box office champion of film history, becoming the first R-level film in North America to win the box office championship of film history for a century since the birth of the film - especially after the implementation of the rating system.

It is not 300 million, not 400 million, or even 600 million, but the champion of film history. The "Raging Road" has almost carried the incredible, horrifying, dumbfounded emotions along the way, and has made rapid progress, slapping the face, and the scenery along the way, and has made great progress. On this road, he has buried many records and crushed many opponents himself.

Who would have thought that before the movie was released, people were even worried that this work would become the fuse for the destruction of Chaos Pictures. The investment of 150 million yuan was enough to make any medium-sized film company frightened. But now? Just relying on the North American box office, the "Rampant Road" has achieved profitability. What's more, the overseas box office of this work is also creating history at the same time. The vast momentum seems to be impossible to see an end. Even the "Titanic" slaps all the way back then was not so glorious.

When the "Titanic" was released, the premiere weekend was only 28 million. Faced with the super high investment of 200 million in the movie, Paramount and Twentieth Century Fox almost lost all their pants. All the media were gloating and waiting to see James Cameron's joke. But everyone knew that they won the championship for fifteen consecutive weeks and had a box office drop of less than 35% for twenty-four consecutive weeks - of which twelve weeks were less than 10%, writing the biggest miracle in film history.
