333 The Greatest Gossip

Brian Barlow took out a wrinkled box of cigarettes from his pants pocket, looking for traces of the lighter on his body, but found nothing. He looked back at the distance of the parking lot, thought for a while, and finally continued to walk towards the office.

The San Francisco Chronicle, located in Burbank's branch office, kicked off every day in a busy manner, and today is no exception. Brian nodded and greeted his familiar colleagues all the way. After entering the office, he sat directly on the table of Chris, a reporter from the Department of Social Affairs, "Is there any fire?" Brian held a cigarette in his mouth and lighted the cigarette butts with his lips.

Chris rummaged through the table, found the match he had taken during the club's undercover investigation last week, and threw it over, "Do you still have the intention to be here? I just saw Cooper entering the office with an angry look on his face and holding an emergency meeting. All the people left behind in the entertainment department went in."

But Brian was still slow, lit the cigarette, smoked slowly, and said disdainfully, "When will Cooper not be angry?" The frivolous and sarcastic tone made Chris laugh.

Cooper-Private Gerber is the editor-in-chief of the San Francisco Chronicle. He took office in 2002. Since the Los Angeles Times dominated the West Coast, Cooper has been under tremendous pressure since taking office. In recent months, he simply left his headquarters in San Francisco and came to Los Angeles to take charge. However, due to the incomplete branch office, Cooper did not even have a separate editorial room, but only used the conference room to work.

After laughing, Chris slowly lit a cigarette, "But this time may be true." Brian paused for a moment and looked at Chris, "Penelope Cruz seemed to have hooked up/attached Matthew McConaughey during filming..." Without any time to say the words afterwards, Brian jumped off the table and rushed towards the conference room on the hot wheels. He accidentally staggered two steps and almost fell a dog to eat shit, but he rolled and crawled and stood up again and continued to rush forward.

Chris looked at Brian's embarrassment in a daze, and there was no time to say the following words, and then curled his lips, "The scoop is not ours."

Brian opened the door to the conference room and saw half of the people sitting in the room, but he ignored the other colleagues and looked straight at Cooper, "What happened?"

Cooper frowned, put his hands on his hips, paced back and forth anxiously, obviously getting angry. After being interrupted by Brian, he felt like he was thrown into the oil depot of Mars, and it exploded directly - he picked up the newspaper on the table and threw it at Brian unreasonably, and the sky was filled with scattered newspapers flying. "What happened? God of hell! The most sensational news this year does not belong to our family, that's what happened! The most ridiculous thing is that you haven't received any wind yet! What's going on! Aren't you monitoring Lancelot all day? He is working with Tom in a haunting movie, but you haven't received any wind at all? Then have you been eating/shuttering during this period?"

Cooper was almost full of fire. The swear words were constantly ejaculated, but Brian didn't have time to take care of Cooper's ideas. He squatted down and searched out the newspapers that scattered all over the ground. This was a "New York Post", one of the top ten sales newspapers in the United States, with an influence far above the "San Francisco Chronicle". Moreover, this newspaper is an entertainment newspaper under the News Corp. It is not about reporting entertainment news, but about newspapers that are exclusively responsible for entertainment first, and often rely on sensational scandals and interesting stories to attract attention. This is also the only so-called "gossip newspaper" that can be recognized throughout the United States.

Of course, the New York Post itself is not a "gossip newspaper". It is an absolutely rigorous, serious, serious and high-end media, but the focus of news attention is different.

Brian searched in the scattered pages and soon found the target - it was the front page headline, with a striking red title coming into view, "Rabber!" The clear and clear title brought a strong visual impact. The picture below was divided into two versions, on the left was a photo of Tom Cruise hugging Penelope Cruz, on the right was a public relations photo of Matthew McConaughey and Sandra Brock attending a charity party together, but the middle of the two photos was torn apart, and then the red line was implicated between Penelope and Matthew.

There is a small page directly below the picture, which is a small photo of You Bao Pipa half-covering. This is a photo of two people hugging each other tightly. Matthew's side face can be vaguely identified, while the long black hair covers the woman's face. A red question mark is drawn next to it, bringing out the subtitle - "What happened?" next to it, "Please see the twenty-third edition".

Brian felt like he was going crazy, and knelt directly on the ground, searching for the twenty-three versions all over the ground, while Cooper's irritable and angry curses were still echoing in the office, while other colleagues lowered their heads and looked at Brian. The atmosphere in the whole room seemed a little weird.

"Finally found!"

Brian quickly picked up the twenty-three version, and then saw a huge group of photos in the center, with six pictures, all of which were intimate photos of Matthew and Penelope. One of them was even a photo of two people kissing directly in the car. It almost didn't require any commentary. The shock came to his face, and the iron-like facts could not be refuted at all.

Brian simply scanned the article, which meant that Matthew and Penelope burst into sparks during the filming of the "Saharan Cavalry". Both of them were open to all the possibilities of their relationship and were unwilling to determine their personality, so they got together without any burden.

Shock! Shock! Shock! Shock!

As a senior entertainment journalist, Brian knows the shocking power of this news better than anyone else, not only because Penelope and Matthew have their own dates now - and they are both very famous, but also because this is the most numerous time that the two prodigals have destroyed a stable relationship. In just four years of entering Hollywood, Penelope broke up Matt Damon and Winona Ryder, Nicolas Cage and Patricia Arquette, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman and other couples. Almost every collaboration is full of sparks.

Now, Penelope has been together with Matthew again. In the past few years, Matthew not only broke up and reunited with Sandra Brock, but also had always been surrounded by beautiful women during the gap. He can be regarded as a low-key prodigal son in Hollywood.

Just a simple reading, Brian's mind was already ignited with a storm of thought. He could imagine that this news was enough to sweep the entire North American continent, and could even continue vigorously until the awards season at the end of the year. The topic was absolutely hot enough to surpass last year's "Bennifer"...

"I'm going to Morocco!" Brian stood up and shouted loudly.

But Cooper ignored him - to be more precise, Cooper was still immersed in his own world, "...Do you know how much the sales of the New York Post this morning? Two million and three million! Jesus - His/His/My/Christ, two million and three million! Now they have started the third round of printing! God..."

With the gradual rise of the Internet, the influence of paper media is declining slowly. Now, the top ten newspapers in the United States have an average daily sales volume of around 2 million. The top three sales volumes of the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and the New York Times have the ability to exceed 3 million - but not every day, the Los Angeles Times ranks fourth, with daily sales volumes of around 2.6 million. Such results are enough to be proud of the West Coast.

In other words, the New York Post sold 1.8 million in less than one morning - it was only early eleven o'clock in the morning, which also means that daily sales are promising to exceed three million, which is an incredible achievement for any newspaper.

The San Francisco Chronicle's sales in the United States are only outside the fifteenth place, with an average daily sales of only about one million. How could it be that the New York Post is not jealous of such achievements?

But Brian didn't want to continue listening to Cooper's complaints, so he could only yell, "Shut up to me!" Cooper was stunned by this sentence, and then Brian clenched his fists and said, "I'm going to Morocco! The fastest flight!" Brian could imagine that behind this scandal, countless connotations, countless news, and countless follow-ups. Compared with such explosive scandals, the news of Lance and Keira can only be regarded as pediatrics, and there is no difficulty in choosing. "If you still want follow-up news, if you don't want to fall behind, I'll set off for Morocco now!"

After saying that, Brian turned around and left the conference room, and walked towards his workroom with great strides. He had to prepare before he set out.

Cooper stood in the conference room, stunned for a while, and finally shouted at the others, "What are you doing here? Go out and find news quickly. No matter what method you use, dig out more information from this news event, more!"

The entire conference room suddenly scattered.

At the same time, there was also silence in the office of Diorama. Ryan Cavalug's expression was mysterious and he fell into deep thought, making people unable to tell his true emotions. Tucker Toure, who was sitting next to him, frowned, sometimes happy, sometimes worried, and couldn't tell the reason for his contradictory mentality.

In the center of the desk was an octopus cable, which was a system for multi-party conference calls. At this time, there were only intermittent noises on the other end of the phone, and there was no other sound. After a long time, Jason Berkeley's voice came from the other end of the phone, "No, I don't think this is a wise idea."
