288 Self-assertion

"Next scene! The prop team members come here to fix the scene, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Fassbender, come and prepare!" Albert's voice echoed over the street. Tom and Lance retreated behind the monitor, and the staff began to come out one after another. The originally quiet crew began to bustle again, and everyone was preparing for the shooting of the next scene. ∈♀

In a blink of an eye, it has been five days since the crew has to wait until dark before starting filming, and the shooting must be finished before dawn, so the entire shooting progress is strictly controlled. In order to ensure that the filming can be completed on time, the daily shooting plan cannot be delayed. The crew is spinning like a drum-beating rabbit toy with a clockwork, turning quickly.

So far, Tom Cruise has completed three consecutive days of shooting and successfully completed Vincent's first appearance and first murder mission. The shooting process is a bit bumpy, and everyone is looking for a suitable state, hoping to get through the running-in period as soon as possible and let the crew run quickly.

Michael moved his limbs with some excitement. Today was the first day of his debut. The mixed emotions of anticipation and tension made him feel a little restless, and he kept tiptoing in place. All actors, including him, are now around Albert, listening to the shooting process and the direction of the camera.

"Can you settle down?" Mark felt that there was a jumping bean in his sight that was constantly active, which made it difficult for him to concentrate. He rolled his eyes and made a sound to stop the other party.

Michael pulled the corners of his mouth awkwardly, stopped his movements, and whispered, "Sorry." Michael knew that he was just an unknown person, trying to find his place; and worse, he was German - or not American. In Hollywood, outsiders were always squeezed, not just Asian, African or Latino. In fact, Europeans were always under tremendous pressure in Hollywood.

Mark is an actor who has had a masterpiece and an actor who has proved his strength. Therefore, Michael always lowered his posture in front of him, hoping to learn more.

Yesterday, when preparing for the role, Michael discovered that Mark had actually started trimming his beard. He asked in curiosity, and Mark took the initiative to tell him that the beard is also part of the character. In order to reflect the character's personality, different characters have different beard storage habits, so he first cultivated his beard and then trimmed it to better show the role of Richard.

This made Michael realize that he combined Mark with the "performance details" that Lance emphasized before, so Michael also trimmed his beard today. In his opinion, Fanning is a young, energetic policeman with ambitions and hopes to make a difference, but Fanning's work is mostly on the streets and dealing with drug dealers directly, so Fanning should have kept his stubborn and just managed it simply. It won't be too clean, and he will even be a little sloppy - he will forget to eat and sleep to solve the case.

Special details really help shape the character.

So, Michael felt Mark's pride, but he didn't feel uncomfortable. Instead, he apologized in a low voice. Mark didn't say anything and muttered, but before Michael could hear it clearly, Albert turned his head and looked at the two of them, which made both of them shut up and refocus.

"Okay, now there are problems, please raise them as soon as possible." Albert looked at everyone around. In addition to Michael and Mark, there were also some extras to play the police. Almost ten people would be in the camera. After confirming that everyone had no problems, Albert clapped his hands, "Very good, everyone can start warming up and start shooting in three minutes."

Standing not far away, Lance nodded to Tom, "You go and rest. After the filming of this scene is finished, I will ask my assistant to come and call you." The filming of this scene just ended, and the next scene will take at least ninety minutes, so Tom planned to go back to the RV to adjust, Lance nodded in agreement.

Tom is still looking for his state. He has struggled a little in the past few scenes, but fortunately, the opening scenes are not difficult, it just requires some guidance. Under Lance's directing, Tom lowered the tone and achieved the purpose of precipitating the sound texture through the changes in audio and sound quality, and then created a calm calmness and stability, quietly outlining Vincent's indifference. Although the process was not easy, Tom finally met Lance's requirements.

Tom nodded, without saying anything more, turned around and walked towards the direction where the RV was. Although filming had only been five days, he felt that he had been on the crew for five years, which made his steps a little heavy, and the irritability could not tell whether it was anger or frustration.

Without taking a few steps, a commotion came from behind him. Tom subconsciously turned around and looked over, and then saw Lance standing in front of the two young actors. Under the thin light, the slightly frown eyebrows could be vaguely seen, and the ink-colored eyebrows like mountains outlined his anger at this moment.

Lance is indeed in a bad mood. On the one hand, he has almost no rest time. He is like a gyro and works on the crew for only five days, but the heavy work makes the breathing gap extremely valuable. On the other hand, Tom's performance has never made much progress, and almost every scene needs to be readjusted. Although the shooting plan has not been delayed, Lance is worried that if he continues in this state, the next scene will definitely be in a difficult situation.

So, under such circumstances, even trustworthy actors like Mark and Michael have problems, as if the entire "Killing with a knife" crew caught fire everywhere, so Lance did not hide the anger between his eyebrows. "Is it because I didn't say it clearly enough, or is there a problem with your understanding? I told you not to add fuel to the fire, use a clean and tidy makeup, everything is enough!"

Lance stared at Michael and Mark with his eyes tightly, and then shouted, "Edgar! Edgar!" Edgar Snow ran out quickly from the side, and the noise of the entire crew gradually calmed down. Everyone was watching the problems that were happening here. Everyone could feel the huge pressure on the crew, "Edgar, are these beards your idea?"

Edgar couldn't help but choke when he saw the beards on Mark and Michael's faces, "No, of course not!" Lance emphasized to him that the policeman's makeup must be clean. Just look at other extras and you will know that Edgar absolutely followed Lance's guidelines.

Mark looked at the anger and mockery in Lance's eyes. He knew that shutting up was the best choice at this time, but impulse, his emotions broke out. When it was this way during the audition, Lance almost despised his professional ability - even if he got the role, he always thought that this was the result of Cole's pleading; today, he thought he had to explain it clearly, so Mark took a half step forward, "This is my own idea!"

Lance turned his head and looked at Mark. His eyes were still stormy in the last second. In this second, he actually returned to calm, but the quiet vision was filled with a terrifying light, which made Mark's heart twitch, but he still gritted his teeth and said loudly, "I think this is a supplement to the character. Richard is a pampered policeman. He is used to taking good care of himself. This is a symbol of identity..."

Lance sneered and interrupted Mark's explanation. Mark was immediately angry and opened his mouth and raised his voice, "You are despising my professionalism as an actor!"

"Get out!" Lance pointed at the opening of the crew without any explanation, and roared at Mark. In an instant, the entire crew was silent. Michael, who was standing next to him, was at a loss because he had no idea what was going on, but the problem was that Cole did not come to the crew today, which meant that no one could act as a buffer zone.

Mark was stunned by the roar. He obviously did not realize that his resistance actually led to such a result. But Mark was more puzzled. Wasn't this what Lance asked for?

Lance swept his eyes to Michael, noticed Michael's beard on his chin, forced himself to suppress his anger, took a deep breath, then looked at Mark again, and said word by word, "Two choices, either shave your beard or get out of the crew, there is no other possibility."

Edgar seemed to have something to say, but Albert, who was standing next to him, pulled his arm and signaled him to shut up. The atmosphere at the scene was stiff like an ice cellar.

Lance could see the pride and self-esteem in Mark's eyes, and he could also see the uneasiness and panic in Michael's eyes. He was already ready to turn around and leave, but he still explained that "the official statement of the Los Angeles Police Department is that all police officers on duty are not allowed to have beards!" In order to write the script "Borrowing a Knife to Kill People", Lance soaked in the library for so long and even made a field investigation, which was definitely not just to write a simple and rough commercial script.

"Hu", you can clearly hear the sound of taking a breath of cold air at the scene.

Lance raised his right hand, made a "two" gesture, and emphasized again, "two choices." Then, Lance turned around and looked at everyone in the crew, "starting filming in five minutes." After that, Lance walked towards Hayden's position and discussed the use of the next scene as if nothing had happened.

Michael raised his head and looked at the stunned Mark, trying to persuade him, but he found that he was too exhausted. After he hesitating for a while, he ran towards the actor's public vehicle. In five minutes, he not only had to shave his beard, but also needed to re-put his makeup and prepare for the filming. Now there is no time to waste.
