133 Digital Domain

Percy looked at the inconspicuous building in front of him, frowned slightly, with a hint of surprise in his voice, "Is this the digital realm?" He looked around with doubts, trying to find a more decent building from the side. But he failed.

This is a very ordinary residential area, with the quaintness and lowness unique to the Venice area in Los Angeles. The gracefulness and compactness that was inherited from Venice, Italy, meandering forward in the wet alley, the gypsy's casualness and the Arab traditions were floating in the air in a harmonious way.

The building in front of you looks like a two-story dwarf building that combines Asian and Middle Eastern styles. The moss crawls along the brick and stone lines, covering up the original appearance of granite and depicts a door leading to another world. Inside the hollow iron door is an empty patio, with several motorcycles and bicycles casually placed. There is also a small Chinese courtyard-style fountain in the center. Crystal and transparent water droplets slowly seep out from the layers of moss and aquatic plants, as if there is a button of a mysterious country hidden underneath.

I looked around and took a lot of effort to see a dilapidated light sign on the upper left side of the concave font building, like a disrepaired motel with the words "Digital Field".

"I think it's all here." Lance pushed open the iron door, and the squeaking sound made the brisk laughter of Venice Beach float from far to near. When he looked up, he could see the bright sunshine shining on the persevering weeds in the corner of the roof. "At least it doesn't look like a haunted house."

Percy glanced at Lance speechlessly, but couldn't help but secretly swallowed two saliva, pinched his fists, then quickly followed Lance's pace and walked into the patio. The door on the left immediately entered the sight. The two of them pushed open the door and walked in, but they didn't see the expected reception desk. The wide space like a warehouse, with a bunch of desks gathered in four corners; there were two transparent display boards placed in the open space in the center, with various sticky notes on it, which was dazzling.?

The whole space is spacious but also has a unique busyness. The combination of technical otaku and artistic atmosphere is quite interesting under the industrial-era warehouse.

"Good afternoon, who are you looking for?" A young man in a shirt and jeans walked over from the end of the corridor with coffee in his hand. When he passed by Lance and Percy, he asked casually. The style that could have been very fashionable and looked a little weird. The shirt was tied into the belt, as if the belt was tied to the belly button - the otakus was unstoppable.

"Appointment at two o'clock, the crew of 'the day after tomorrow'." Percy walked forward and spoke.

The young man suddenly realized, "Oh, so you are Lancelot." He understood immediately, "James Cameron and Scott Rose are all looking forward to your arrival." Looking at Percy's weird expression, the young man seemed to have not noticed that he had recognized the wrong person, but just patted his head, "Hey, I'm Jonathan Rothbart." Then he held Percy's right hand, looked at Lance who was standing behind, held Lance's right hand, paused, as if waiting for Lance's self-introduction, but now Lance had no intention of speaking, chuckled his head and tilted his head, and skipped the topic directly, "Let me lead the way. They are now discussing the concept of special effects production of 'acquired' in the conference room."

Percy looked back at Lance who was behind but smiled and showed a speechless expression. Unexpectedly, Lance signaled for a moment, allowing Percy to continue to move forward without any intention of clarification. Percy shook his head helplessly, and then followed Jonathan and took a step forward.

Jonathan's footsteps stopped at the end of the corridor, knocked on the door, waited for a while, and then opened the door after hearing the confirmation sound inside, "Lancelot-Stralo is here." An irritable voice came from the room, "Who?" This made Jonathan choked, "The producer and director of the 'the day after tomorrow'?"

"Oh." The irritated voice responded, and then another more calm voice said, "Let them come in, we are looking forward to their arrival."

Percy stood at the door, looked back at Lance, and after receiving the sign, he took the initiative to walk in. He could hear a polite but friendly voice inside and introduced himself, "Welcome, welcome, I am Scott. We are now discussing the creative concept of 'acquired', you are here just right."

Lance followed and walked into the office, and saw James Cameron sitting at the end of the conference table at a glance.

This top director who is invincible in the box office of the movie, perhaps for most Chinese audiences, is a director who is more familiar and intimate than Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. Just the two works "Titanic" and "Avatar" are enough to make him famous in history.

However, James seemed in a bad state at this time, with a scumbag, a messy head, and a red eyes. He seemed to have stayed up all night for a few nights. His wrinkled shirt also looked like he had not changed overnight. He was holding a cigarette in his mouth, and the smoke surrounded him covered him, and he couldn't see his true face clearly. He didn't look like a big director who called the wind and rain, but more like a homeless man sleeping on the street.

In addition to James, there were two people sitting in the office, and Scott standing up, there were only four people in total. The huge office seemed a little empty and clear at a glance.

"Just leave these polite conspiracies." James' irritable and rough voice interrupted Scott's introduction, turned the laptop on the desktop and pushed it out directly. The computer slid for a short distance on the desktop, and then stopped. "This is the concept map we made. Let's make it according to this, and there will be no problem."

Percy was disrupted by such an accident and didn't know what to do. He looked back at Lance, but he found that Lance was looking at the walls on both sides with concentration, looking along with his eyes. There were various conceptual images hanging on the walls, which were in chaos and order. You could see at a glance that those special effects conceptual images of tsunamis, cold waves, and earthquakes were seen. If nothing unexpected happened, these were the special effects scenes in the "After Day" movie.

"Those are printed concept maps, you can see them all on the computer." James once again rudely interrupted Percy's movements. "Now you look at the overall concept in the computer, and then confirm with Scott. We will follow this idea next. When will the movie start shooting? Is the process coming out?"

James was very fast, almost finished speaking, and then began to ask. Percy looked at Lance again, and found that Lance still had no intention of standing up, and he didn't know what Lance was planning, but what he could be sure of was that everyone mistakenly thought Lance - no one asked him if he was, and Lance didn't seem to have made the misunderstanding.

Percy could only bite the bullet, but James was very dissatisfied with Percy's reaction. "If you want to say something about worship or admiration, you can save money. I ask you, when will the movie start? Has the shooting location been selected? Is the shooting process in the studio come out? We need to go to the scene to collect data."

"Uh, no, I mean...what is the director's opinion?" Percy felt a mess. It took less than three minutes from entering the digital field to now, but James took a stance that things had been negotiated, which forced Percy to break James' rhythm.

After saying this, James widened his eyes, "What do you think?" He clearly asked the other party to express his opinions, but the violent tone was obviously a rhetorical question, "In terms of visual effects, we are professionals. All our concepts are investigated and based on real data. Everything is produced in the most realistic but grandest way. Don't you believe us?" James' strong words hardly allow others to say "no". "As a director, you should control the rhythm of the film and macro-control. As for professional fields such as visual effects, it should be handed over to professionals. We are the best special effects company in the industry. We use the special effects team of the "Titanic" to create these concept pictures. We serve the movie with the highest specifications. Are you anything else dissatisfied with?"

Percy always felt something was wrong, but he couldn't tell me the reason. James's statement was reasonable and indeed did not leave him any room for refutation.

Looking at Percy who was speechless, James sneered softly. There was no need to worry about such a fledgling director. Today's meeting was just a routine. "So, hurry up, while I still have some time now, you look at the concept map, and then submit the plan for the shooting process. I will explain it. We will be able to operate here in the next period of time." This is imperative, not a negotiating tone.

"What if we have any objections?" A voice came from the office door, which made everyone turn to look over. Percy breathed a sigh of relief. Lance finally spoke, and his shoulders couldn't help but relax. However, the atmosphere in the entire office tensed, and even the sound of a breath of gas could be heard.

"What do you have? You are not qualified to give comments at all!" James frowned, obviously very dissatisfied with an assistant's sudden interruption.

Lance, who was standing at the door, ignored James' criticism at all. Instead, he walked to the wall on the right and pointed to the two concept pictures above, "What is the difference between the tornado created in this way and the special effects in the 1996 movie of the same name? There is no new idea. If it were me, I would stand on the top of the mountain and overlook the entire Los Angeles. Then the clouds in the sky accumulate vortexes, extending down little by little. At the same time, a vortex formed on the ground, slowly rising in the form of a small spiral, and finally merged with the large spiral in the sky to form a giant tornado, equivalent to the size of a Sears building, and then rush around downtown Los Angeles in a sweep manner, and then look at the individual."

Quiet or quiet.
