Chapter 50 The God of Bread Comes Again(1/2)
The fiery red sun jumped up from the distant horizon, dyeing the entire sky red. The fireflies that had been flying all night returned to the grass panting.
Liu Mengchao raised the corner of his mouth, pointed his finger at Shana's fair cheek and said with a smile.
"It's morning."
"Ugh... I'm so annoyed!"
Shana turned over directly, put her face on Liu Mengchao's thigh, and fell asleep again.
"Hey...it's morning now."
"Woo!"
I saw Shana's hand weakly raised, and then she drowned in her sleep again. Liu Mengchao smiled slightly, gently lifted the long black hair covering Shana's face with his hand, leaned down and said, "Get up.
"
"Crack!"
The slender, white hand suddenly rose up and slapped Liu Mengchao directly on the face.
"It's so annoying! It's so annoying! It's so annoying! It's so annoying!" Shana jumped up suddenly, squinted her eyes and shouted at Liu Mengchao, "I want to sleep a little longer! Sleep a little longer!"
Liu Mengchao smiled bitterly and shook his head, "Is this considered getting out of bed?"
"No! This is my last sleep!"
Xia Na said, lying down again, closing her glasses hard, her long eyelashes trembling constantly. Before Liu Mengchao could take a breath, Xia Na's eyes suddenly opened.
"Can't sleep!"
"This is your last sleep!"
"So annoying!"
Shana turned her head and looked at the grass not far away. A butterfly fluttered its wings and danced on the white flowers. The dewy petals glowed in seven colors under the sunlight.
“It’s so beautiful.”
Xia Na rested her arm on her head, lying on Liu Mengchao's lap and looked at the little flower in the distance and said with a smile.
"Yeah." Liu Mengchao nodded slowly, with a trace of blush from being slapped on his face, "If it's a little later..."
"Melon buns!" Shana jumped up again, her long black hair flying up suddenly. Her pink face was full of anxiety, "It's too late. Liu Mengchao! It's too late!"
"Hmm, it's too late to eat the melon buns that just came out of the oven." Liu Mengchao nodded slowly, looking at Shana standing in front of him and said.
"Then what are you waiting for! You idiot!"
As she said that, Shana suddenly stepped on the ground with both feet. There was a soft sound from the canopy, and the fiery red wings stretched out behind her.
"Speed speed!"
Xia Na looked at Liu Mengchao who was lingering and refused to get up, and said even more anxiously.
"Well, give me your hand."
"what are you up to!"
Xia Na said dissatisfiedly, but put her hand on Liu Mengchao's hand.
"Home delivery." Liu Mengchao smiled slightly and shouted softly. "Devil May Cry bloodline, trickster mode... activated!"
Buzz!
With a soft sound, the scarlet Starry Sky Gate appeared at Liu Mengchao's feet. Liu Mengchao was seen holding Xia Na, a ripple appeared in the air, and he disappeared in the small park in an instant.
A long street woke up again under the sunlight. It was a remote and quiet street, with only a few dog barks coming from the rooms next to the street.
There were two people standing on top of a small two-story house. One was wearing a scarlet windbreaker. The edges of the clothes were covered with dew and slightly damp. The other was a girl, and she was still tall.
The boy's shoulders were not reached, and his long black shawl hair hung down to his waist. He wore a green short skirt on his lower body, which was lifted up by the wind blowing from time to time.
"That's the one!" Shana stretched out her hand and pointed to the bakery at the end of the alley, "The boss hasn't gotten up yet. You woke me up!"
"Maybe it's because the boss was too tired last night," Liu Mengchao looked at the quiet street and couldn't help laughing. "But if you miss such a delicious food on the last day, you will definitely crawl out of hell.
Shall I drag you down too?"
"snort!"
Xia Na turned her face away and looked at the end of the alley, ignoring Liu Mengchao.
"Here we come!" Shana slapped Liu Mengchao on the waist and pointed to the end of the alley, "The boss is here!"
"Yeah, what a coincidence."
Liu Mengchao smiled and watched as the bakery owner walked out from the end of the street, walked through the deserted alley, and came to the front of his bakery.
The boss bent down, fumbled for the key, and then pulled it down sharply.
"Wow!"
The rolling shutter door suddenly flew up, and the store reappeared in front of Liu Mengchao.
"Hurry up! Hurry up! Hurry up!" Seeing the boss's actions, Shana subconsciously urged her, "I don't have much time."
"Are you going to eat all the melon buns in the store?" Liu Mengchao tilted his head and laughed. Before Shana could react, he took Shana's hand and jumped down.
Tread! Tread!
With two soft sounds, Liu Mengchao jumped down with Shana.
"What do you want to do?"
"boss!"
Liu Mengchao ignored Xia Na's words, raised his hand and greeted the bakery owner who had just opened the store. The boss turned his head following the sound, stared at Liu Mengchao for a long time, and suddenly laughed.
"Oh! I remember, you are the brother who sat here all afternoon yesterday!"
"Yes," Liu Mengchao smiled and nodded, but Shana snorted and hid behind Liu Mengchao, "Boss, I still remember what you told me yesterday."
"Thing? What thing?"
As the boss spoke, he opened the door of the bakery creakingly. Large swaths of sunlight poured into the bakery, covering everything in front of Liu Mengchao's eyes.
"Please sit down, the bread won't be baked for a while." The boss said as he walked to the back room wearing a white chef's uniform.
"Boss, do you remember the God of Bread you told me yesterday?"
"The God of Bread?!" The boss' head in a white hat poked his head out of the back kitchen, and Liu Mengchao and Shana were sitting next to the small round table, "Are you talking about the God of Melon Buns?"
"I captured the God of Honeydew Buns today."
Liu Mengchao said with a smile, letting out Xia Na who was hiding behind him. Xia Na's black eyes glanced subconsciously, and then turned away with a cold snort.
"Haha, so you really caught the God of Melon Buns? That's disrespectful!"
The boss laughed and retracted his head again. Obviously, for this small bakery owner, Liu Mengchao was just a customer he could talk to. The so-called God of Honeydew Buns was just a conversation between two people.
A casual topic. Who would compare Shana's small body with the god of honeydew buns who steals honeydew buns every morning?
"What on earth do you want to do? Can't we just take away the melon buns quietly?" Shana lowered her head and tapped the small round table in front of her out of boredom, listening to the round table making a trembling sound at her fingertips.
The corners of his mouth raised unconsciously.
"Since it's the last day, I think it's better to let you be a dead man."
Liu Mengchao said with a smile.
"Then I really appreciate your great kindness..."
As soon as Shana finished speaking, she suddenly straightened up. A pair of black eyes straightened up instantly following the aroma wafting from the kitchen, slowly turning like a robot, and then stopped.
"Hey! Liu Mengchao! I smell the scent of melon buns!"
"Uh-huh."
"This is my last breakfast, I will eat it until I can't eat anymore!"
"OK."
Snap!
With a strong high-five with both hands, Shana looked at the kitchen seriously as never before, waiting for her last breakfast.
"Um...don't you want to drink something?" Liu Mengchao said as he stretched out his hand and waved it in front of Shana's face.
"don't want!"
"Really not?"
"Really don't!"
Shana said more seriously.
"Squeak...ah..."
Shana was still looking at the kitchen not far away with concentration. At this moment, the door of the bakery was pushed open again. A girl wearing dark blue jeans walked in, glanced at Liu Mengchao subconsciously, and smiled.
Said, "Is this your girlfriend?"
"Xunzi, come early in the morning, don't talk nonsense, and work quickly!"
To be continued...
