Chapter 50 Better(1/5)

 "Ank Bailar!"

In the chaos, Thales's voice sounded clearly, resounding throughout the hall.

The Duke's words were obviously very meaningful, and the entire banquet hall fell silent.

Anke's long sword stopped between old Doyle's neck, leaving the baron panting extremely nervously.

Thales pushed aside Marius who subconsciously stopped him, stepped out from the crowd, and spoke from the seat second only to the king:

"Your words, your story, and your experiences have been heard by the entire Mindis Hall."

He spoke harshly:

"Isn't this enough?"

Anke raised his head, and for the first time, he faced the heir of the kingdom face to face without any interference or hindrance.

"So, my Highness, are you going to use extremely legitimate excuses like others to obstruct the justice that you deserve?"

"So your past, your reputation, including your opening speech just now, are all lies?"

Mallos and Vogel looked at each other, exchanging only worries and scruples.

Thales felt that at this moment, everyone's eyes were focused on him without any cover or scruple.

Whether it's a guardian duke like Jenn, Costard or Val.

Or Viscount Adrian, Lady Eleanor, the Seven Shining Stars, and the central dignitaries.

Or royalists and new aristocrats like Earl Godwin and Viscount Conney.

As well as all kinds of soldiers, officials, leaders, etc., distinguished guests from all walks of life.

Their eyes were like huge boulders, all pressing down on his vocal cords.

As if to offset the respect and respect he received at the entire banquet.

Damn it.

"I am not a judge and have no right to define justice."

Thales looked at the pair of eyes full of determination and death, and frowned:

"But your behavior today is enough to shock the world."

"But it's just blocking its own way out."

Anke breathed in a daze.

"Killing people and taking lives might make people listen."

Thales glanced around and tried his best to stabilize his voice, which was still in the stage of voice change:

"But if the listeners come just for curiosity, even listening will be of no use."

There was a buzz in the crowd.

"And let yourself fall!"

Thales said loudly:

"Even if you can avoid the bitter consequences for a while, the end will be miserable and you will regret it."

Anke turned his head and looked at old Doyle who was trembling under his sword.

He smiled.

"Your Highness, as rumored, your words are sharp and sharp, and I can't resist."

"No wonder he can safeguard the dignity and interests of the stars in the barbaric and dangerous northern land."

Anke looked sharply:

"But I'm not here to listen to you preach."

"What I came to seek is revenge."

"Then trust me, put down your weapons and wait for a fair judgment," Thales tried hard to maintain the majesty of the Duke of Star Lake:

"There is no need to resort to lynching anymore, it will cost more lives."

He said seriously:

"Revenge without justice is tantamount to despicable murder."

Vogel and Mallos behind him were communicating something, but Thales didn't hear clearly.

Anke subconsciously looked around, looking slightly confused amidst the discussion among the people at the banquet.

Until he looked at the Duke again, casting an unwilling and questioning look at the latter.

"murder."

Anke stared at Thales and was distracted for a moment.

"Murder? Justice?"

He gritted his teeth and his voice trembled:

"No, His Highness Thales, no."

"My father held his weapon tightly, holding the guilt for his ancestors and bloodline, and died on the hospital bed, in the land passed down from generation to generation. And I didn't even have time to bury him, so I had to travel all the way around. It’s not until today that I can stand in front of you.”

He roared:

"That's murder!"

"Where is his justice?"

Under his sword, Baron Doyle interjected tremblingly:

"I didn't do anything. Your father died of illness on his own..."

Anke turned his head sharply, frightening the Baron's words back to his stomach:

"After you took everything from him!"

"In your despicable ways of taking advantage of businessmen," Anke shouted hoarsely.

"After forcing him to no end!"

Thales reached down and stopped Mallos from sending someone to pull him back to the team.

Anke roared:

"Everyone, open your eyes and see how this kind of trap and humiliation is different from murder!"

The crowd exploded.

The discussion became more and more chaotic, but the focus of the discussion was different.

Baron Doyle was trembling. Seeing the unfavorable situation, he struggled to speak:

"If your father has no money, I will lend it to him. If he mortgages the land, I will take it..."

d.d was so nervous that he couldn't take his eyes away, watching his father defend himself under the restraints of Glover:

"Your people have no work to do or food to eat, so I hire laborers and pay them wages. What's wrong with this?"

"This is a normal operation for the lords. You should open your eyes and see how many years have passed..."

Old Doyle closed his eyes and tried not to look at the sword that frightened him:

"The entire kingdom, from the center to the blade, whether it is the east sea or the south coast..."

"Where is this not true?"

As soon as this statement came out, the crowd was in uproar.

Lord Godwin tried hard to maintain order, but with little success.

Thales frowned fiercely.

But Anke, who was holding the baron's life in his hands, was even more angry:

"Damn it, Xihuang is not!"

His roar shook the entire Mindis Hall:

"Not even the town of Crowcrow where I was born and raised!"

The noise from the guests grew louder and louder, and the guards had to work harder to separate those who were standing closer and closer.

It wasn't until the Duke's seat in the distance that Coster Nantriste opened his extremely sharp single eye.

"Neither is Yadi."

He looked at Val Aarond, who was shackled and still pouring himself a drink under the strict guard of the royal guards. He was obviously in a good mood:

"And the North."

Duke One-Eyed Dragon sighed loudly, and his words reached everyone’s ears:

"In the past, the entire kingdom was not like this."
