Chapter 28 The hot blade(1/2)
Thales took a deep breath and stared at the Scarlet Witch opposite.
Even though Esida answered his questions about the magician, Thales still had many doubts about his own physical condition.
The primary suspect is still the mysterious mother, especially after hearing the incomprehensible words of the Queen of the Sky.
The second prince's chest rose and fell slightly: "Why did you mention this name?"
She is lying, Thales thought to himself.
Prince of the Stars' first middle name is a rare one - it's no secret.
Kashan's eyes narrowed into thin slits, releasing a gentle and friendly smile.
"At the dinner, you talked about a mother's pain of missing her son," Kashan opened her eyes slightly and looked at Thales with an interesting look: "Of course she wants to repay you..."
The Scarlet Witch's eyes moved, and she spoke with deep meaning: "...in the same way."
Thales clenched his fist slightly.
God.
What does she know? At least she knows that she is my biological mother...
"Your Highness Thales!"
Thales was slightly startled. He raised his head and looked at Raphael.
"Please remember, no matter what she does or says now," the latter slowly shook his head with a heavy expression on his face, "it is all for her own purpose."
"If you need to solve your doubts, the Secret Department is at your service at any time - we have enough information."
Thales turned his head and glanced at the worried Miranda, the solemn-looking Raphael, and the confused Cohen.
He frowned, took a deep breath, and nodded.
That's right.
At least not now.
Kashan sighed slightly.
"Sometimes I admire Morat's ability to teach students." The old woman turned her eyes and looked directly at Raphael. "Every one of his students is so outstanding."
"Whether it's those who are loyal to him or those who are enemies of him."
Raphael snorted coldly.
Miranda slowly walked to the left front of Scarlet Witch, while Cohen moved to the other side.
Faced with such an obvious action, Kashan seemed completely unaware.
This made Thales even more uneasy.
"Prince Thales," the Scarlet Witch's gaze became unusually sharp: "Do you remember my advice at the dinner: all the difficulties you have experienced are nothing compared to Morat."
"His loyalty is the deadliest poison," Kashan said solemnly: "The more loyal you are, the more dangerous you are."
"I'm sure you've realized this."
Thales closed his mouth and frowned.
"These words come from the mouth of the person who betrayed King Nunn," Raphael shook his head: "It's a bit too ironic."
Cassian smiled.
"The tragedy of the secret science is that your master only has the Brilliant Star." The Scarlet Witch shook her head indifferently: "The Brilliant Star that will rule the stars forever."
"But the monarchs of the Kingdom of Exeter are always changing."
"So the darkroom is only loyal to Exeter," Kashan paused slightly, and her smile turned cold: "When the king can no longer represent Exeter..."
"We will choose the path that is most beneficial to Exeter."
Thales's heart moved.
When the King can no longer represent Exeter.
Could it be that……
"Betrayal is betrayal," Cohen couldn't help but say, "especially while Nunn is still king."
His footsteps were getting closer and closer to Cassian.
"I don't want to get to this point either."
Kashan glanced at Miranda and Cohen who were getting closer and closer on both sides, shook her head and sighed: "But when we found out..."
"It's too late."
Thales frowned: "What do you mean?"
"It means..." Kashan raised her head with a rare solemn expression:
"Now!"
The Scarlet Witch's voice suddenly rose, and at the same time her figure retreated sharply!
Cohen and Miranda were stunned.
"Boom!"
Before anyone could react, a huge explosion came from above!
The shock made Thales tremble all over and his ears buzzed.
The ceiling was broken.
Countless stones poured down from their heads with bursts of dust!
Amidst the flying dust, Thales instinctively raised his hands to shield his eyes while coughing in the dust.
What's going on here?
But before he could react, he was pushed by Huaiya who reacted quickly and fell backwards.
Huaiya's single-edged sword was unsheathed, and the sword light struck the gravel above his head.
Several pieces of gravel were cut open and smashed into the surrounding open space and walls, bringing out even larger amounts of dust, which obscured the figures of Raphael and others.
Thales and Little Slippery both lost their balance and fell to the ground one meter behind.
"Leave her alone!" Raphael's urgent shout came faintly from the front: "Return to defense!"
Rolf waved his remaining left arm fiercely, creating a cyclone, trying to blow away the dust.
But a sturdy figure in military uniform descended from the sky.
Landed in front of Rolf.
In the blurred field of vision, Thales could vaguely see the figure calmly avoiding the hidden sword thrust out by Rolf, while Rolf's body flew sideways under the influence of supernatural powers.
But in just the next moment, that sturdy figure immediately exerted force and struck out with an elbow!
Rolf's figure gave a heavy pause.
"Boom!"
In the dust, the body of the wind ghost flew backwards and crashed into a cell.
"No!" Huaiya's roar came to his ears.
The power of termination surged into the squire's sword hand. He stood in front of Thales, rushed towards the figure in the dust, and struck out with a reckless sword in the endless stinging pain.
The sword wind blew across his face, and Thales had to close his eyes.
"Impulsive." came the rich male voice.
That sturdy figure did not retreat but advanced, charging towards Huaiya's sword edge!
Waiya's single-edged sword struck into the enemy's shoulder.
"Clang!" came the sound of a sword cutting through iron.
But the tall figure immediately threw out his right arm, pressed down on Huaiya's neck, and pushed hard!
"Boom!"
Huaiya's figure was thrown backward, and his head hit the cell wall firmly.
The attendant fell to the ground slumped.
Oops.
Thales gritted his teeth and stood up while coughing, pulling his little slippery head who was also at a loss.
As soon as he looked up, he saw the tall figure in the dust.
The enemy pulled out Wyatt's sword from his shoulder armor, threw it away, and walked towards Thales.
Thales didn't have time to panic, so he subconsciously stepped back.
"Qiang!"
Raphael emerged from the dust and struck the enemy in the back of the head with a very fast sword.
To be continued...
