Chapter 28: First Meeting with Concubine Jia, Goodbye to Zhao Zhijing
On the second day after entering the palace to meet the saint, the next afternoon, Emperor Lizong summoned Yin Zhiping to the palace to meet alone.
This summoning was not a court meeting, and the place where the summoning was not on the temples like Wende Hall, but in the imperial garden in the back garden.
Entering the palace, Yin Zhiping followed the eunuch around the Wende Hall, Chuigong Hall and other major halls, and walked to the Imperial Garden behind. When he arrived at the gate of the Imperial Garden, the eunuch pointed to the moon gate with the three words "Imperial Garden" engraved on it and said to Yin Zhiping: "Real person, here, this is the Imperial Garden. The official family is enjoying the scenery in the garden with Concubine Jia."
"Concubine Jia?" Yin Zhiping couldn't help but feel moved when he heard Concubine Jia, and he murmured it. He thought to himself, "Concubine Jia should be the sister of the cricket prime minister Jia Sidao. Jia Sidao was also because of his sister that he was later promoted to the prime minister and was very trusted by the emperor. He heard that Concubine Jia was very favored now, and he didn't know how beautiful he was?"
While thinking, he followed the eunuch into the garden. When he entered the garden and looked around, he saw that the garden was quite large. There was an artificial small lake in the middle, which imitated the scenery of the West Lake, and it was named the small West Lake. The setting of the imperial garden was spread out according to this small West Lake. There were rockery flying springs, pavilions, towers, etc. along the coast. It was also full of flowers and flowers in all seasons, strange flowers and plants, as well as ornamental trees such as osmanthus, camphor, chrysanthemum, weeping willows and other ornamental trees.
It was autumn, and it was the time when the golden osmanthus was fragrant and the chrysanthemums were in full bloom. In this imperial garden, these two flowers bloomed the most, and the fragrance of osmanthus was floating all over the garden. Suddenly, the sound of silk and bamboo sounded, and a beautiful female voice sang along the song:
"The gold is thin and weak. The autumn wind is tender, and the osmanthus flowers are first opened. The scented pearls in the palace are difficult to learn. The flowers are dyed with delicate veins and are ashamed to reflect the green cloud tent. The fragrance is not as weak as the orchids. A branch of clouds is cleverly combed. The cool night is the coolness of the rose calyx. The fragrance fills the collars, and the moon is in the Phoenix Pavilion."
This is a poem about "Drunk and Falling", written by Zhou Bangyan, a great poet in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is a good poem about osmanthus. Yin Zhiping had heard Li Mochou sing before, but Zhou Bangyan was said to have been the guest of the entrance to the temple of Li Shishi, a famous prostitute in Tokyo during the Northern Song Dynasty. He had competed with Emperor Huizong of Song, the Taoist Emperor, so he remembered this poem about Zhou Bangyan.
When the music sounded, he looked with the sound and found that the music was all transmitted from a boat by the little West Lake.
The boat is a boat-shaped building built on the water surface facing the shore according to the shape of a boat. It looks like a boat parked on the shore, but in fact it is not a real boat and cannot be rowed in the water. It is a fixed building. Because it cannot move, it is also called a boat without tying. It is also called a stone boat.
The boat was six or seven zhang long and more than zhang wide. It was two floors above and below, with long windows on both sides, and the upper layer looked like pavilions. The bow of the boat was wide, and there were a group of people waiting to be on the bow. They were standing or sitting. From his perspective, those people were facing his backs, so although he had good eyesight, he could not see the faces of those people. He could only judge by his body and clothes. The person sitting on the soft couch in the middle was Emperor Lizong.
Next to the emperor, a woman in the palace dress was sitting on the same bed with him. From behind, she looked charming and had a very good figure. She was holding hands with the emperor. It was probably the bento of Jia Sidao's sister, Concubine Jia. The song "Drunk and Falling" just now was sung by Concubine Jia.
After Concubine Jia sang the song, Li Zong clapped and shouted "Okay". The eunuchs and palace maids standing beside them were also praised by each other.
After these people praised it, Li Zong said to Concubine Jia: "I'll sing another song for my beloved concubine!"
Concubine Jia replied softly: "Okay, this song will be selected by the government."
Li Zong pondered for a while and said, "Just sing Xin Jiaxuan's song "Qingpingle's Fun Muji's Eternal Elegant". This is a poem by Xin Qiji, and Muji is an alias for osmanthus.
Concubine Jia responded again and ordered the palace maids who were attached to musical instruments to play music.
When the music was played, Yin Zhiping had already followed the eunuch who led the way to the Little West Lake, but Emperor Lizong was in high spirits. Concubine Jia wanted to sing one, but they were not inconvenient to speak up, so they waited on the side, waiting for Concubine Jia to finish singing the song.
The music sounded a few times. But I heard Concubine Jia sing again and sing: "The east garden is approaching dawn, and the west wind is good. It aroused the immortal Jin Xiaoxiao and the green feathers are exquisitely decorated. When a pillow is opened by the side, the curtains and green curtains are lowered. It is so protective that there will be wind in the window."
After listening to this song, the eunuch who led the way immediately ran forward, stood on the shore and bowed to the boat and said, "Report to the official family, Luo Gui, the humble minister, came to report to him, and Zhenren Yin has arrived."
"Oh, is Yin Zhenren here?" Li Zong shouted softly, turned around and looked at the couch, and Concubine Jia beside him also turned around and looked at him.
Yin Zhiping glanced at Concubine Jia, and saw that she was twenty-eight or nine years old, with apricot-eye eyes and peach cheeks, cheeks like peaches, skin as white as snow, eyebrows and eyes as picturesque. She was really beautiful and had a look of the country. She was especially gentle and charming, and was of moderate age. She was the beautiful lady he loved. She couldn't help but take a look. Then she walked forward and bowed to Lizong and Concubine Jia on the boat and said, "My minister Yin Zhiping has seen the official family and the concubine!"
The Song Dynasty was not like Nu Qing in later generations. When he saw the emperor, he would kneel down and call him "slave". It is not a formal court meeting or a ceremony. For such private occasions, there is no need to kneel down and bow to him. Yin Zhiping is a Taoist priest, and yesterday he was given the title of "Xuanhua Zhenren". At this time, he only raised his palm to his chest, held his ring finger, and performed a Taoist bowing ceremony.
Li Zong stretched out his hand to help him, and said with a smile: "The real person doesn't have to be too polite, please come on the boat."
Yin Zhiping thanked him, stood up, looked at the boat again, but after looking at it, he was shocked.
The palace maids standing on the left and right beside Concubine Jia, who were standing on the left and right, and the eunuchs all turned around to look at Yin Zhiping when they heard Yin Zhiping coming. Yin Zhiping stood up and looked at these people. He glanced casually, but he didn't care much, but unexpectedly he saw a familiar face among these people.
That was a eunuch standing beside Concubine Jia. The man had white face and beardless, long eyebrows and thin eyes, and he was actually Zhao Zhijing, who had no beard.
Since the Great Wind and Thunder Magic Conference of Lujiazhuang on the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month last year, Zhao Zhijing was swept off his beard by Huo Du's "Raging Wind and Thunder" and then the King of Jinlun escaped. After he chased him out, he has never returned since then, and there has never been a sound coming back. There is no news about him in the world, as if he suddenly disappeared and disappeared out of thin air.
At that time, Qiu Chuji and others also speculated that Zhao Zhijing was mostly killed by the Golden Wheel Dharma King. The body was not summoned, and it might have been blocked by the cliff or other hidden places. However, Yin Zhiping did not believe that Zhao Zhijing would have gone to seek death even though he knew he was not a match for the Golden Wheel Dharma King. He guessed that Zhao Zhijing was just an excuse to escape, so as not to escape, so as not to be severely punished if he practiced other martial arts in private and was furious. However, Zhao Zhijing ran away, but he didn't care much and did not pay much attention. He never thought that more than a year after separation, he would see Zhao Zhijing in the imperial garden of the Southern Song Dynasty's imperial palace today, and this guy actually became a eunuch.
