Chapter One Hundred and Twenty-Three Memories
After three rounds of drinking, the atmosphere in the auditorium became more and more lively. The strange sisters were playing their new songs on the stage. On the dance floor below, a large number of wizards were carnival, and Slughorn was also a little bit overwhelmed by Jamini's beer.
Jamini also looked a little drunk, but he still patted Slughorn on the shoulder carelessly: "Come on, professor, let's have fun."
As he said that, he snapped his fingers, and a bottle of vodka and a row of small cups appeared on the table. Jamini filled the beer mug with 80% beer, and then filled the small mug with vodka. Then, he threw the vodka into the beer mug, and the bubbles piled up in an instant.
"Oh... God, this is really a life-threatening way to drink." Slughorn grinned.
"Deep water bomb..." Jamini smiled and said, "This is the way to drink at a party, professor."
"Then I'll try it." Slughorn smiled happily, picked up a cup and drank it all.
Then he let out a distorted sigh: "Oh—this is really..."
"Is it so strong? Is it so good that you can regain your youth?" Jamini smiled.
"Yes, yes, of course!" Slughorn seemed a little excited: "I felt the blood was getting hot all over my body, as if I was back in my twenties."
"In fact, you are not old now," Harry echoed.
"Oh hehe...thank you Harry." Slughorn smiled and looked at Harry with admiration: "I still know what I'm in."
"Actually, Harry is right, Professor, how could a powerful wizard like you have no means to avoid aging?" Jamini handed it to Slughorn with another deep-water bomb: "Come on, professor, let us do it!"
"Dry it!" Slughorn raised his glass and touched Jamini, then drank it all in one go.
Jamini observed Slughorn's state with a faint look. Seeing Slughorn start to shake his head and stay awake, he finally spoke: "When it comes to ways to avoid aging, I heard of an interesting magic not long ago. I want to ask Professor Snape, but he knew very little, but I think that teaching you a knowledgeable person like you should be able to help me."
"Oh?" Slughorn smiled drunkenly: "Then tell me."
"Just... I wonder if you have ever heard of... Horcrux?" Jamini asked softly.
Slughorn's eyes suddenly turned straight. He looked at Harry beside Jamini, then turned his gaze to Jamini, and a hint of panic flashed in his eyes: "Dumbledore asked you to come?"
"I don't deny this, you know, professor." Jamini pressed his hand gently on his chest: "I have always treated people sincerely."
"I don't know, I have nothing to tell you about Jamini." Slughorn said in panic, trying to stand up, but his head was dizzy, causing him to fall back into his seat.
It would be strange if he could stand up if he was about one hundred years old.
"Calm down professor, your reaction is too extreme. There are so many people." Jamini helped Slughorn sit down: "Maybe we can have a good chat, how about calming down with a cup of whiskey?"
Jamini said, and a glass of malt whiskey suddenly appeared in front of him.
Slughorn took a sip and looked even more dizzy.
"Horcrux?" Harry looked at Jamini in surprise: "Is Voldemort's?"
"Oh...don't mention that child..." Slughorn shivered powerlessly.
"In fact, I didn't tell you just now, Harry." Jamini shrugged: "Professor Dumbledore needs a memory from Professor Slughorn. Regarding Horcrux, we all know that Voldemort made Horcrux, but..."
But we don't know how many he made!
Jamie didn't say it, but Harry suddenly understood what he meant.
Slughorn looked at Jamini beggingly: "That's a memory I will never want to recall, Jamini, please..."
"It's not scary to do something wrong, professor." Jamini said softly as if he was coaxing a child: "The kind of pain that dares not face himself, refuses to make remedies, and makes regret follow his lifelong life..."
"I have used the God-Suan to seek thoughts. Although he himself doesn't remember what happened that night, I still saw it in his mind that Voldemort killed his father and asked her mother to dodge her. Originally, her mother could not die, but in order to protect him-"
"And the Muggle couple on the dance floor, they are Harry's uncle and aunt. They knew that adopting Harry would be dangerous and they didn't even like Harry, but they still adopted Harry and raised him. Professor, they were just ordinary people who didn't know how to magic..."
Slughorn looked straight at Harry's eyes, his eyes red.
"But professor, you always say that your favorite student is her, but you are unwilling to help her son. She has given Harry life, but you are unwilling to even have a memory..." Jamini shook his head regretfully.
"Don't say that..." Slughorn looked at Jamini begging: "If you can help Harry... Of course it's not a problem... but that thing is useless..."
"It's useful, Professor, Dumbledore needs to know. In fact, what you don't know is...I have destroyed Voldemort's two Horcruxes." Jamini patted Slughorn's back comfortably.
"I don't need you to help destroy the Horcrux to find the Horcrux, just a memory." Jamini said gently.
"Of course I want to, Jamini, but-"
"Are you scared?" Harry looked at Slughorn: "I'm afraid he'll find you helped us?"
Slughorn didn't say anything, his face looked very scared.
"Professor, I had defeated Professor Dumbledore in a regular duel a few months ago." Jamini whispered: "Professor he didn't let him go."
Slughorn suddenly widened his eyes. Even when he was drunk, he understood what it meant to be like Jamini's defeat of Dumbledore.
"You just need to be a little braver, like Harry's mother, and although I can't guarantee that I will kill Voldemort, it's definitely okay to protect your safety. He is definitely not my opponent."
"Jimine just said, Professor." Harry sat on the other side of Slughorn and gently patted Slughorn on the back: "It is not scary to do something wrong. The kind of pain that dares to face yourself, refuses to make remedies, and lets regret follow your life..."
"As the elder and teacher I respect, professor, please..." Jamini also said softly.
"I don't think it's glorious..." Slughorn murmured: "I'm ashamed of what I remembered...I think I might have caused a lot of harm that day..."
"As long as you hand me the memory, it will be offset." Jamini whispered: "And you are not at fault. You are a teacher, and it is natural to answer questions for students. No one will say anything."
Slughorn looked at Jamie and looked at Harry's green eyes again. After a long time, he finally reached into his pocket and took out his wand.
Jamini quickly handed a small bottle, and Slughorn reached out to take it, he still stared into Harry's eyes, pressed his wand against his temple, and then took it away, and the tip of the wand brought out a long, silver-like memory, which grew longer and eventually broke slightly.
The memory fell into the bottle, and the silver wire rolled up, then spread out, circling like gas. He stuffed the bottle cap with his trembling hands and handed the bottle to Jamini.
"Thank you very much, professor." Jamini solemnly took the bottle of 100,000 Gallons.
"You are all good kids..." Slughorn's face was full of tears and his mouth was filled with alcohol: "I hope...you don't think too badly after you finish watching..."
As he said that, he put his head in his arms, sighed and fell asleep.
Jamini didn't know if he was really asleep, but at least tonight, he wouldn't be willing to face Jamini and the others in a clear way.
