Chapter 12 Before the Missile Crisis?
"What is your name? Where did you come from?"
"Yuri Skouchov, Soviet KGB, rank of lieutenant colonel."
Through the single-sided mirror, on the other side is a place that is like an ordinary family arrangement. This is one of the CIA's interrogation rooms. On the side of the single-sided mirror, Yingtian and the head of the intelligence department Edward silently looked at several agents and a person who claimed to be KGB.
"You didn't pass the lie detector."
The agent in charge smiled and said that those who knew him only saw the surface clearly. In fact, he was famous for interrogating, named Martin Yuri Skouchov, who had not realized the problem, reiterated: "The people in KGB cannot pass the CIA's lie detector, you are wasting your time, Mr. Agent."
Martin turned his head and looked at the one-sided mirror, turned around and punched Yuri Skocchuv, who was not yet able to react, to the ground: "You'd better be honest, Mr. Skocchuv. You have to know that it's better for us to interrogate you. If you change to someone from other departments, you won't have that good luck."
The agents next to him set up Yuri Skochuv and sat back on the chair. Their duty was to get Yuri Skochuv back on the chair when he fell.
"...I said that my name is Yuri Skouchov. I came here to provide information to you and you protect me. All I asked for was that simple." Yuri Skouchov was still calm when he was punched. He knew that it would be of no benefit to him to have a fall with the CIA here, not to mention that there was a KGB chase after him.
On the one-sided mirror side, Ying Tian frowned and said, "You are not asking me for a simple purpose to see this guy be interrogated, right?"
"In fact, we don't know whether what he said is true or not. This guy hid everything in his emotions. I need the help of your special department." Edward said helplessly.
Ying Tian saw that Yuri Skochuv was in line with an agent in terms of psychological quality. He could be as if nothing had happened when he was punched, and many people could not do it. In this regard, Yuri Skochuv was better than many people.
"Okay, Ray."
Behind Yingtian and Edward stood a young man named Lei. He is a mutant. He joined the CIA two years ago and became an agent of the Special Department.
When the people in the interrogation room saw Lei coming in, Martin watched Yuri Skouchov and said, "I hope you didn't lie, you can't stand it in front of him."
Yuri Skouchov looked at Lei in his early twenties and did not believe that he would have the ability to know the truth or falsehood of his words. Lei did not need Yuri Skouchov to believe that his work was very simple and to check a person's memory.
Lei is a mutant, and his ability is useless and is useless during combat, but in terms of interrogation, he can know whether what the other party said is true or false, and his ability is to check the memory layer.
Lei's hand was pressed on Yuri Skouchov's head, his expression did not change at all. After a while, nodded to the single-sided mirror, meaning that what Yuri Skouchov said was true.
The interrogation returned to Martin's hand and he handed Yuri Skochuv a piece of paper for him to wipe off the blood from his nose: "Mr. Skochuv, please forgive me, you know we are all the same kind of people."
Yuri Skouchov chuckled: "No need to apologize, if it were me, I wouldn't believe it so easily."
"Back to the point, what information do you want to provide to us."
Martin and Yuri Skouchov were talking to their friends, and no one would believe that for a few minutes Martin knocked Yuri Skouchov down with one punch, and his fist bleeded Yuri Skouchov's nose.
"The Soviet Union intends to deploy missiles to Cuba."
The information Yuri Skouchov mentioned is tantamount to a nuclear bomb exploding nearby. The impact it will be based on the reaction of the person you hear.
All agents in the interrogation room except Yuri Skouchov were shocked. If this was true, the Soviet Union planned to provoke World War III, which was not a future that the United States would like to see.
"Cuba has extended an olive branch to the Soviet Union. It is an ironclad fact that the Soviet Union supports Cuba. The Soviet Union intends to deploy missiles to Cuba to deter the United States."
The relationship between the United States and Cuba has deteriorated to a certain extent. Looking at the CIA's plan to counterattack Cuba by exiled Cubans, we can see how bad the relationship between the United States and Cuba is.
Martin said the first one who didn't believe it, "Mr. Skouchoff, is it April 1?"
"No, you don't believe it, but that's the truth."
Lei checked Yuri Skouchov's memory again. After Yuri Skouchov's words were true, he immediately returned to the one-sided mirror: "Sir, he did not lie."
Ying Tian looked as usual. Even if he had not experienced it, the history of his previous life was the same as the historical development here. The most sensational event in 1961 was the United States' strategy against Cuba and politically rude.
The situation is serious, Edward said: "Win Colonel, do you think we are going to report to the President?"
"It's nonsense. Edward, you know that reporting this to it, and without real evidence, they just think we're dereliction of duty."
What Ying Tian said is true. Yuri Skouchov said that the Soviet Union wanted to deploy missiles to Cuba because the United States deployed missiles to Turkey first. The Soviet Union took out this plan to hide and responded in a targeted manner. After the report, there was no sign or evidence. Kennedy not only would not believe it, but he would doubt more deeply whether the CIA really had no ability.
"I'll deal with this, Edward, please go and have a rest first."
Edward nodded, Ying Tian made a gesture to Lei. Lei understood what the commander meant and returned to the interrogation room.
Martin and Lei had silent eye contact, and the two of them quickly understood what instructions the chief gave to each other. Yuri Skouchov realized that the situation was wrong, but he knew that it was impossible to leave here at all, so he paid attention to the eyes and expressions of everyone in the interrogation room.
"Mr. Skouchov, our sir has agreed to your refuge, and there will be a quicker message to you later."
Martin and Yuri Skouchov were talking, and the agent on Yuri Skouchov's left slowly took out a pistol. Yuri Skouchov realized something was wrong early in the morning, and he kicked the agent with the gun down, grabbed the gun and pointed it at Martin.
"Oh, Mr. Skouchoff, you are not very kind."
Even when he was pointed at the gun, Martin still had no change in expression. Yuri Skouchov sneered, threw the gun away, turned around and smashed the glass of the window behind, and his whole body fell down. Martin obviously did not expect Yuri Skouchov to jump out of the window so heroic, and would rather fall to death than die of depression.
Lei came to the window and looked out to see Yuri Skouchov lying on the ground, blood flowing out of his head, and he could not die anymore, and some people had begun to gather below.
What Yingtian wants is Yuri Skouchov's death, and it doesn't matter whether he shoots or jumps off the building. Anyway, he cannot allow the Soviet Union to deliberately deploy missiles to Cuba to spread, and everyone present knows what to do.
