Chapter 58: Reignite Spark (Three)(2/2)

"What is Dad doing?" Raul came to his senses and asked Old Tasso in panic. He grabbed the saber on the table and was almost crying: "Can you want - that?"

"My young master." Old Tasso looked complicated and took the saber out of Raul's hand: "You are obviously about the same age as that Lord Lannis, so why can't you learn from other people's demeanor?"

"What the hell is Dad doing? Why do you still carry us on your back?"

"What else can I do?" Old Tasso slapped the saber on the table and angrily said a word: "Give me a tribute!"

Meanwhile, in the outpost barracks.

"His Excellency Lannis."

If Raul and Old Tasso were in the barracks, they would not believe that Lao Majiya's granite-like facial features had softened. He tried his best to take the most humble attitude and begged the "rebel" senior official in front of him who was about the same age as his youngest son.

"I want to ask you to pass those golds to Lord Montane."

"Mr. Majiya." Lannis told Majiya frankly: "When I knew who you were, I already knew your purpose, so I confirmed that you are not the one I want to catch."

Lao Ma Jiya's upper lip trembled.

"But you don't have to be so humble, and you don't have to explain anything more." Lannis spoke before Lao Majiya and directly gave the latter the answers he wanted one by one: "First of all, your son was not killed, and he should be in the prisoner's camp now."

Lao Ma Jiya nodded gratefully.

"Secondly." Lannis paused for a moment and said seriously: "When to release them and how to release them can only be decided by you - no one can control your judgment, and of course I can't do it."

Old Ma Jiya's eyes became dimmed. He forced himself to cheer up and waited for the other party to continue talking.

"Finally - those gold. I advise you to take it back. For you, those gold bars may be all movable property, or even full of wealth."
