Chapter 25: Close Combat

From the well-lit open-air deck to the cabin that was exposed to a little light, Winters could not see anything for a moment. Fortunately, no one seized the opportunity to attack him.

Only after his eyes adapted to the darkness did he realize that the Good Luck seemed to have divided the lower deck into several areas.

Winters used to use a sword with both hands, and the sailor's sword could only hold it in one hand, and his other hand was empty and made him feel a little insecure. He pulled out the dagger again, and followed the major general's appearance and double-held sharp blade to explore the darkness.

There was another heavy sound of landing behind him, and Winters turned around and wanted to swing his sword, but the man jumped down and said, "Wait, it's me."

Only the little bit of the hatch leaked out could not see who it was, but Winters was too familiar with the sound, it was Bud.

"Let's go, come together." Bud followed and said in a deep voice.

Winters nodded and continued to explore. Someone was covering up the fact that something was always a relief.

After entering the cabin from the stern entrance, several cabins were separated from each other, which seemed to be for people with higher status on the ship. A narrow road was left in the middle, allowing only one person to pass through.

Winters smelled the fishy smell and found a body in a cabin. It was obvious that the Major General and Andre had already broken through here.

Going further, kicking open the hatch door, and suddenly enlightened.

There was no wooden partition in front of me, and the entire cabin was a large room with large holes in the bulkheads. The ground was filled with ragged clothes like beggars, with disgusting sour smells and rotten smells coming.

Major General and Andre are in the middle of the cabin. Major General's moves are not gorgeous, and they are even a little simple: pick the left arm and stab the right arm.

But with the extraordinary strength of the major general, this simple move is the most efficient killing technique. I saw that the major general used his left hand to pick out the scimitar that was slashing towards him, and stabbed and twisted his right hand, and a pirate screamed and was let over.

No one on the ship was the enemy of the major general. The pirates had no spears and did not know the art of joint attack. They were forced to retreat continuously by the major general.

Andre couldn't get any chance to take action by the major general's side. He tried his best to keep up with the major general's pace and protect the major general from being attacked by multiple pirates at the same time.

But there were still several pirates using the width of the hull to try to go around the Major General and Andre to encircle the two.

Winters and Bud are coming in time. If they are really attacked from both sides, even if the major general and Andrei's swordsmanship are so clever. The two of them can rush here, on the one hand, the pirates are shocked by the major general's fierce aura, and on the other hand, the two drive away the pirates all the way, so there is no need to worry behind them.

Winters roared, attracting the pirates' attention, and at the same time informing the two men in front of him that reinforcements were coming. The pirates who were still circling behind the major general and Andre heard the sound, abandoned the two and rushed towards Winters.

One-handed swords often have to be equipped with a small shield or blocking dagger, but Winters' dagger has no handguard and cannot play any blocking role. It only has a little psychological comfort effect when held in the hand.

However, the pirates rushing towards Winters were feeling a little uneasy when they saw him holding a scimitar dagger, but they still bit the bullet and met Winters.

The pirate's sword comes from very simple, which is the Manjusting from the upper left to the lower right.

For Winters, the sailor's sword is both his weapon and his shield. The deck is full of skinny paddlers, and there is no room for dodging, so Winters also uses a single sword to fight the opponent.

Only then did he understand Instructor Nal's teachings: On the battlefield, being powerful is more useful than anything else.

When two scimitars collided, how could the pirates be the opponent of the quasi-official who had eaten well, drank well, and had been trained for many years, be directly beaten by Winters.

Winters instinctively used the skills of the long sword and cut into the pirate's center line. The cabin was full of paddlers, and there was no room for Winters to step forward, so Winters slashed at the pirate's right arm with this knife.

The weapons on the Skuo ship were not well maintained. The sailor scimitar in Winters' hand was not sharp, but it was because of this that the bite felt stronger. After slashing the pirate, Winters made up his mind to drag it hard, leaving a deep bone-visible wound on the pirate's arm.

The pirate screamed, took off the knife in his hand, covered his wound and rolled and crawled backwards. If this was a swordsmanship competition, Winters scored two points beautifully in this round. But the cabin was the battlefield, and one hand of the pirate would not kill the pirate.

"Catch them! Let you be crew!" a voice with a strong Tanirian accent shouted: "Otherwise I will kill you all!"

Winters didn't understand who he was talking to, and then he realized that the pirates were coercing the paddlers. He glanced at the poor paddlers, some of whom dared not look at him and lowered their heads, while others had longing and greed in their eyes.

There were at least thirty paddlers in the cabin, and even if only one-third were agitated, the four officers in the cabin were in danger.

Now every paddler in this cabin is a potential enemy. Winters also yelled back: "The pirates are finished! It's not a pirate sitting quietly! Whoever dares to act randomly and kills!" He and Bud stepped over the paddlers sitting on the ground and strode towards the major general and Andre, trying to get out of this area.

"I haven't done it yet! You guys? Do you want to die?" the voice with a Tanirian accent shouted again.

As soon as he finished speaking, Winters felt that someone had held his left leg and Bud was thrown down by three paddlers. At this time, another pirate came up to him.

The only sympathy left for these paddlers in Winters was crushed by anger. He was also fierce, and turned his left forehand into a backhand, stabbed the oarist who held his left leg with a dagger.

He reminded himself that this place was the battlefield. This time he no longer simply stabbed, but learned Major General Leiden's movements, stabbed and twisted hard.

The paddler immediately had an unstitched destructive wound on the neck of the paddler, and the arteries and ligaments were directly pierced and twisted. The paddler covered the wound in pain and loosened Winters' left leg.

Winters regained his freedom, gave up half of his body slightly, dodging the straight stabs attacked by the pirates. The next action was completed by sword instinct, first blocking with the blade and knocking the opponent's scimitar.

But this time he no longer cut the opponent's arm, but stabbed the opponent's soft abdomen. He still stabbed and twisted. When he pulled out the scimitar, the arc blade of the scimitar cut open a larger wound. This knife made the invading pirate lose the ability to move.

He no longer cared about the pirate who had been "breaked" and turned around to help Bud. Bud was already thrown to the ground by three paddlers at this time. A paddler tried desperately to spread Bud's fingers and took away his knife, but Bud clenched it very tightly. The paddler who grabbed the knife could not break Bud's fingers and wanted to bite it.

Winters stepped two times to Bud and stabbed the oarist hard into the neck of the wanted to bite people. The oarist was killed on the spot.

The other two paddlers wrestled with Bud. Winters was afraid that he would accidentally hurt Bud with a long knife, so he inserted the dagger into the back of the paddler's neck. He smashed his fist and broke the dagger and cleanly dealt with the two paddlers.

He pulled Bud from the ground, and no one of the paddlers dared to look at the officer who killed three people in a row, and they all lowered their heads. No one was encouraged by the pirates to attack the two of them.

Seeing that reinforcements came, the major general did not lead Andre to continue rushing forward. The two of them had several wounds on their bodies, and they could rush here all depended on their momentum. Since there were reinforcements, there was no need to attack instead of defending, so the major general led Andre to fight and retreat.

Winters and Bard moved forward, Major General and Andre leaned back, and the four finally met and confronted the pirates.

At this time, the sound of weapons colliding came from behind the pirates. Obviously, the pirates on the deck had also been defeated. The four major generals rushed into the cabin from the stern entrance, and the warrant officers on the deck were attacking the cabin from the entrance of the bow. Now, it was the pirates' turn to be attacked on both sides.

"Surrender! Otherwise, I will kill you all!" Major General Leiden, who was possessed by the god of death, suddenly started to talk about the propaganda war, but he was dripping blood and his military uniform dyed red, seemed unconvincing.

"Subduing one [organ]! Can you survive if you surrender?" The pirate who was the leader who motivated the paddler just now shouted in despair: "Subduing this butcher will kill us all! This butcher is the leader. Only by grabbing him and holding him hostage can we survive!"

At the end of the story, the leader was crying, kicking and hitting other pirates like a shrew: "Go! Go! Only by grasping him can we live! Only by living..."

"Bad! Disgusting!" The major general looked at the pirate leader who was making trouble in disgust and pointed at the man with the tip of the knife: "If you surrender, I will kill you! Let me hear it all, I will kill him only. If I don't want to die, I will abandon my sword and surrender!"

On this side, Winters, Bud and Andre were silently confronting the pirates. On the other side, more and more army warrant officers jumped out of the hatch. The group of pirates were blocked in the cabin and had no way to advance and retreat, and were in a desperate situation.

Winters looked at the pirates at a loss and looked at me, and I looked at you, as if I wanted to surrender, but no one dared to be the first to drop his weapon.

"Put down your weapons!" The major general shouted again.

One, two, three, the pirates discarded their weapons one after another, proclaiming the end of this short and bloody hand-to-hand battle.

...

On the deck of Good Luck, the surrendered pirates were firmly tied to their hands and knelt neatly in a row.

Around the pirates were a group of young birds who had just seen blood for the first time, and warrant officers were eyeing them with swords.

One after another, pirate corpses and dying pirates were dragged out of the deck and from the cabin, and were neatly placed in front of the surrendered pirates.

Major General Layton sat on a wooden barrel that was dragged over with a golden sword. Major Moritz was sewing his wounds with alcohol.

No one on the boat was so harsh that he dared to suture the human body with a fish hook. He could only do it by someone who would never recognize his relatives after drinking.

Although Instructor Naal said that long sword skills are a sport, the results are still useful. At least the warrant officers know how to avoid being stabbed in the core area of the chest and abdomen.

The injured warrant officers are mostly injured in their limbs. If they do not experience severe inflammation or fever in the next few days, they will survive. Otherwise, they will die. It depends on the injury, physique and luck.

Major General Layton was obviously a little impatient to wait. Seeing that all the dead and dying pirates were dragged out, he picked up his sword and walked to the captured pirates.

"I won't talk nonsense to you, you can come first." When the major general stopped in the cabin to confront him, he said he would kill him no matter what.

The pirate who seemed to be the leader buried his head and did not dare to look at the major general. The major general put his sword around his neck: "Say, which one is the captain?"

Hearing the major general's question, the pirate felt that he had found a glimmer of vitality and asked with courage: "I said, I said. I confessed to the captain, can the general spare me?"

Before he finished speaking, his left rib was pierced by the Major General's sword. He looked at the Major General in shock and then at his chest, and the sword directly cut open his heart.

After the sword was pulled out, the pirate fell forward like his soul was drained. Blood flowed out from under him.

Even though Winters had seen blood today, he felt a little reluctant to see the pirate being killed. The major general's ruthlessness shocked him even more. Fighting in battle formations is one thing, and killing a tied prisoner is another thing.

But he didn't say anything, nor did his classmates. Only the sound of the sea could be heard on the deck, and the young warrant officers were observing silently, learning how the senior officer was acting.

"It's so much nonsense." The major general shook the blood from the sword in disgust, and replaced another pirate beside the pirate who had just died and asked: "Say, which one is the captain?"

A bloody corpse lay beside him. The second pirate named felt a chill under his crotch and was already incontinent. He hurriedly agreed to help identify and beg for mercy.

This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! Major General Leighton did not rush to let the pirate identify people. He grabbed the collar of his clothes with only one hand and lifted the pirate up, just like catching a chicken.

Major General Layton let the pirate see the faces of his still alive accomplices, and smiled and said to all the pirates: "I will make you turn around and let the waste in my hands point one of them in you and these corpses first. Then I will mention one more person, and if you are not referring to the same person, die together."

Winters quickly figured out why the major general used this strange method, and probably let the pirates betray each other, avoiding the random referring to a corpse as the captain.

"If the general wants to kill, why bother us? My subordinates are not loyal to this kind of means." An indignant voice came, and Gold himself couldn't help but stand up: "But you have promised us that you will surrender and avoid death!"

"Hahaha" the major general laughed even more happily, and seemed extremely disagreeable in this bloody scene: "When did I promise you to surrender and avoid death? I just promised me not to kill you, but my officers had nothing to do with me."

The pirates were in a state of turmoil, and Gold stood up even more angrily, and all kinds of swearing words from the sailors that Winters couldn't understand appeared.

The major general swung the pirate in his hand to the ground, strode towards him, grabbed Gold's hair with one hand, and smashed Gold's mouth with the hilt weight ball with the other hand.

One, two, three.

Everyone on the deck could clearly hear the sound of iron ball hammers and the sound of teeth breaking, and even Winters was a little scared when he heard this.

Winters and Bud looked at each other, and Winters felt his stomach churning, and he also saw a trace of fear in Bud's eyes. No one is not afraid of such a cruel person, even if he is his own person.

The crew of the Skuo had long been looking for a quiet place to hide, avoiding this bloody scene.

The major general gritted his teeth and said, "What are you? You deserve to negotiate terms with me?"

The three hammers were far from being relieved, so he smashed the fourth shot again: "What do I ask, what do you answer!"

Gold couldn't even speak clearly now, so he could only nod his head desperately.

"Why don't you retreat when you see the naval flag?"

As soon as Gold opened his mouth, blood mixed with saliva and kept flowing out. After being beaten by Major General Layton, his teeth and tongue were broken, and he couldn't hear clearly what he was saying.

Major Moritz, who was standing by, couldn't bear to see it anymore. He sighed and proposed a solution: "The general asked you a question, just nod and shake your head. Do you understand?"

Gold nodded desperately again.

"Listen carefully." Major General Leighton paused and asked the question that lingered in everyone's minds on the Skuo: "Are you here specifically for us?"
