Chapter 13 Hunting(2/2)
"take me."
"You can't take the horse with you, it's too much." The old hunter explained: "That thing is so fast in the forest and can't catch up with it even if you ride a horse. Instead, it will alarm it. If it scares it away, we will have to wait for it to be exhausted."
Winters took two javelins out of the Red Mane's saddle bag, gave Ralph one, and left one himself.
Then he let the red mane head in the direction he came and whipped the horse hard on the butt: "Go! Go home!"
The red mane was in pain and ran away along the way.
"Let's go." Winters carried two muskets on his back and said to the hunter with his hand javelin.
"Sir, we alone may not be able to kill that thing. We'd better leave a mark along the way and wait for reinforcements to follow." Ralph's weapons were the only one javelin given by Winters.
Only then did Winters realize that he was out of touch with the other militias.
"No matter what, find that thing first." Winters pulled out Dusa's saber.
"Yes." Ralph nodded and walked in front, but he couldn't help but remind: "Sir, there is no fuse on your gun."
