002 Fly to the stars 2

Although the birthday gift was two weeks late, Marvin was very happy to receive it.

What his grandparents gave to Marvin was a box of books. There were picture books and books teaching literacy.

Marvin was very interested in the set of literacy books because he could show off the Chinese characters and English words he knew in front of his illiterate sister Mia. The younger sister could only look up at Marvin with envy.

Another reason why Marvin is interested in books that teach literacy is that they contain a lot of knowledge about the universe. It turns out that this universe is not just the earth where Marvin and the others live, and the sun, moon and stars in the sky. In fact, the universe is very big.

big.

"How big is it?" Mia suddenly asked Marvin with big eyes.

"Uh..." Marvin couldn't explain what was written in the book to his sister, so he said, "Compared to the universe, the earth we live on is as small as a grain of sand."

"The earth is as small as a grain of sand? How can we build houses and live in it?" Mia didn't believe it at all.

"This is an analogy I made." Seeing that Mia couldn't understand, Marvin tilted his head and continued to think about how to make his sister understand.

Grandparents are going back.

Marvin could finally escape his sister's constant questions, so he took his sister to the underground garage to see off his grandparents.

Marvin also wanted to take his father's car to take his grandparents home, but his father said that after driving his grandparents off, he had other things to do.

Marvin had no choice but to go back to the living room and continue reading.

"Marvin, come here. Mom wants to tell you something." Mom called Marvin aside.

"What's the matter? Mom." Marvin put the book on the floor and walked to the dining table.

Mom said to Marvin: "Don't say that your grandparents are forgetful again."

"Why? Don't you often say that I am forgetful?" Marvin asked.

"You are different from your grandparents. You are already five years old and a big child. Next, I am going to tell you a secret. Only you know it, and you have to keep it secret from Mia. Can you do it?"

Marvin immediately straightened his back and said seriously: "I will keep it a secret."

"That's good. My grandparents have a disease that makes it easy to forget things. It's called Alzheimer's disease."

"Al..." Marvin thought the name of this disease was so strange. It was not as simple and easy to remember as a cold, fever, or cough.

"Alzheimer's disease." Mom repeated. "With this disease, you will slowly lose your memory, so grandparents will forget many things."

"Can't you go to the hospital if you get sick?" Marvin fully believed that hospitals could treat all diseases. In the past, if he had a severe fever or cough, he would go to the hospital to see a doctor, and he would be cured in just one or two days.

"Some diseases are incurable. Ah, that's not right. I can't say that my grandparents' illnesses are incurable, but they are very difficult to cure."

What his mother said sounded awkward, but Marvin knew what his mother meant.

"Okay, Mom, I understand. My grandparents are sick, so pitiful. I will never say that they are forgetful again." Marvin said sadly.

"now it's right."

"Mom, I often forget things, so do I also have Alzheimer's disease?"
