Chapter 20 Suspicious Person

On the way back, Wanyan Ruojin kept hearing Tian Zhinuo talk about this dog, which made her want to see it too.

I followed Tian Zino around the river several times, but there was no trace of him.

Tian Zino sighed and said regretfully: "I have to go home first and come back later."

Wanyan Ruojin nodded in response. She was a little nervous when she went to someone else's home for the first time.

Walking all the way to Tian's house, the neighbors who saw Tian Zino would all chat with each other about common things. He had grown taller, become more handsome, lost weight, and so on.

The Tian family couple didn't know that Chengzi was coming back today, but they were working at a sesame cake shop. There are a lot of registered households when the Chinese New Year is approaching.

There was a long queue outside the sesame cake shop, and Tian Zhinuo could only stand on tiptoe to look inside.

I saw grandma beating her waist and standing by the wall for a while, and then she started loading sesame cakes for the guests. Grandpa's movements also slowed down a lot. He was old and couldn't do it anymore.

Tian Zhinuo put his luggage by the wall, squeezed into the crowd, and without saying a word, he started to help as a familiar person, and Wanyan Ruojin followed closely.

The old couple of the Tian family were stunned for a moment, and continued to work without caring about their happiness.

After busy chattering all afternoon, it was time to close the shop and go home.

As soon as she got home, grandma asked all kinds of questions, for fear that Tian Zhinuo would be wronged outside.

Tian Zhinuo told all the good things he had experienced in the academy, but not a single bad thing.

Grandma smiled happily, rubbed Cheng Zi’s little head, and said earnestly: “You do look a lot more mature~”

Without further chatting, he looked at Yan Ruojin and smiled kindly: "Ruojin, don't be polite when you get home. Don't be restrained." After that, he walked to the kitchen.

Wanyan Ruojin nodded. Seeing the scene of their grandparents getting along with each other reminded her of her family, and her eyes couldn't help but get moist.

After Tian Zino glanced at it, he immediately took her hand and walked towards the backyard. As he walked, he muttered: "I must let you see my precious garden~"

Wanyan Ruojin secretly wiped her tears.

When we came to the backyard, grandma took good care of the lifelike flowers and plants. She picked up the watering can and leaned over to water the flowers.

"I have loved flowers and plants since I was a child, and I feel very comfortable with them..." Just halfway through his words, Tian Zino saw some changes in the faint light again. The branches and vines of those flowers and plants suddenly grew and entangled the kettle. This time

The change was so obvious that she was so frightened that she dropped the water bottle, straightened up and took two steps back.

Wanyan Ruojin protected Tian Zhinuo behind her and leaned over to look at the flower field.

Tian Zhinuo pointed to the position just now and said: "How did those flowers become like that?!"

Wanyan Ruojin looked in the direction and saw nothing unusual except for some gently swaying flowers and leaves.

Tian Zino blinked and looked again, everything was as usual again. She was confused as to why this was always happening recently.

Wanyan Ruojin turned around, "Are you too tired, so your eyesight is dazzled?"

Tian Zino shook his head. He could have used this reason to explain it once or twice, but it has been done so many times. Is it really just a dazzle?

As I was thinking about it, I suddenly heard my grandpa’s voice coming from the front yard, “Hey! Why is this hen becoming more and more disobedient!”

Wanyan Ruojin patted her shoulder and said, "Let's go see grandpa first."

After nodding in response, the two of them walked to the front yard one after another. They saw two big hens flying around with flapping wings. Grandpa was old and couldn't chase them.

Suddenly, a knife flew across and blocked the way of the big hen. In panic, Tian Zino ran over to pick it up and stuffed it back into the henhouse.

Wanyan Ruojin was about to hug the other one, only to realize that it was not easy to do. She was holding her hands at a loss.

"Girl, let me do it." Grandpa panted and walked over. Just as he was about to bend down, there was a "click" and his waist twisted.

When Tian Zhinuo heard his grandpa's wail, he immediately ran over, grabbed the big hen and put it in the cage. Then he hurriedly came over to support his grandpa and said, "Why don't you sell the hen? I'm not at home, and you and grandma are not at home either."

As you get older, how can you have the time and energy to raise them?"

When he sat down on the stool, grandpa did not dare to move. He held his waist and said, "We can't sell it! They may have laid eggs, and we can save a lot of money!"

Wanyan Ruojin silently took her knife back, and when she came to her grandpa, her fierce look shocked the old man.

Wanyan Ruojin immediately sheathed the knife and took two steps back consciously.

"Is this girl playing with a big knife?" Grandpa looked at his granddaughter and found it much more pleasing to his eye.

Tian Zhinuo nodded, "This is her monster hunting technique, used to punish monsters. Grandpa, don't be afraid."

At this moment, grandma came out, carried two plates of food and walked towards the house, muttering: "Chengzi, take the bowls and chopsticks."

After two more dishes were added, dinner started. Grandpa and grandma took good care of Wanyan Ruojin, which made her feel grateful.

After dinner, Tian Zhinuo took the initiative to wash the dishes. She wanted to help her grandparents share more of the tasks.

After Wanyan Ruojin wiped the table clean, she went to the kitchen to help, and then she noticed that Tian Zhinuo was secretly sobbing.

"Arno..."

When Tian Zhinuo heard the sound, he immediately stopped and responded in a low voice, "Just wait for me for a moment, I'll be ready soon."

Wanyan Ruojin didn't say anything more, turned around and walked into the courtyard, sitting on a stool.

From time to time, there is the sound of grandparents bickering, the "clucking" of hens vying for favor, and the "rustling" of branches in the wind.

In short, all these sounds are full of the flavor of home.

Wanyan Ruojin was homesick. When Tian Zhinuo came out of the kitchen, her tears had been dried by the breeze.

After sitting next to her, Tian Zhinuo said, "In the next few days, I will have to share a bed with you."

Wanyan smiled, sighed, and looked at the night sky, "How can it be a grievance? It's an honor. If you hadn't brought me back, I should be out on the streets now, right?"

Tian Zhinuo leaned on her shoulder and didn't answer. At the moment, except for company, it was superfluous to say anything.

"Why were you crying just now?" Wanyan Ruojin wanted to hear the reason. Tian Zhinuo was stunned for a moment and didn't want to admit it, but Wanyan Ruojin said again: "I heard the sound of sniffling."

Tian Zhinuo sighed softly, lowered his eyes to the ground, and said softly: "When I came back this time, I suddenly found that my grandpa and grandma had more white hair, and they were much older... I felt very sad and blamed myself."

"Blame yourself? Birth, old age, illness and death are human nature and have nothing to do with you." Wanyan Ruojin didn't quite understand what she said.

Tian Zhinuo straightened up, plucked his hands and said, "But if I stayed with them, maybe they wouldn't have such a hard time."

Wanyan Ruojin rubbed her little head and comforted her: "You will think so, and they will think so too. The old people want to be your support rather than a hindrance."

Tian Zhinuo finally raised his head, with tears in his eyes, and looked at Wanyan Ruojin. Wanyan Ruojin gave her a gentle smile and said, "Don't think so much~ Let's get along well while our family members are still healthy."

Tian Zino hugged her, obviously she needed to be comforted more, but she still encouraged herself.

The two sisters talked a lot tonight, and their importance in each other's hearts became more and more important.

The New Year is coming, and the Tian family has also closed its sesame cake shop and is concentrating on preparing New Year's goods.

Window grilles and firecrackers, chicken, duck and fish, new clothes and shoes, cleaning of sundries...

The business of the sesame cake shop was good this year. Grandma gave Tian Zhinuo a lot of money and asked her to buy new clothes at the market.

The two sisters spent a day out shopping. The market in front of them was really lively, and it was rare to see such crowded streets.

Wanyan Ruojin pulled out the knife several times. To be honest, this girl has a really hot temper. Maybe she used to be a young lady, and others would support her when she went to the street to buy things. Now she has to struggle to bargain in a foreign place, and she always thinks that she is angry.

The stall and shop were chopped down with one knife.

Tian Zhinuo persuaded her all the way, sighing bitterly, Wan Yan Ruo Jin is more terrifying than Yu Chi Cheng!

This time Tian Zhinuo went into the candy shop by himself and asked Wanyan Ruojin to wait outside for fear of another conflict.

There are many people coming and going, most of them are ordinary people with flat heads in coarse clothes. If there are one or two who are unique, you can tell them at a glance.

Wanyan Ruojin had been trained by Mo Ci for half a year, and she immediately noticed something strange.

There was a group of people, at least five or six, walking through the crowd, going back and forth several times, always empty-handed and acting mysteriously, not like locals.

Wanyan Ruojin didn't want to miss the opportunity, so she followed him secretly, keeping calm and observing carefully.

The crowd was turbulent and noisy. You pushed me and pushed me. You accidentally lost me.

Wanyan Ruojin quickened her pace to follow, and when she arrived at an alley, she completely disappeared. She stood there and looked around, and there was indeed no one there.

"Am I worrying too much?" Wanyan Ruojin always felt uneasy.

Tian Zhinuo walked out of the shop and found that Wanyan Ruojin was missing. He was worried that she was lost, so he called her name from left to right. He only heard the response from the crowd: "Here it is."

In the blink of an eye, Wanyan Ruojin jumped from the roof. It was too slow to walk down the street, so it would be easier to fly over the eaves and walk over the wall.

Tian Zhinuo breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "Why did you go?"

Wanyan Ruojin didn't want her wrong judgment to affect Tian Zhinuo, so she immediately responded with a smile: "I saw roasted sweet potatoes were sold there, and I wanted to buy them, but unfortunately they were sold out."

"Roasted sweet potatoes? My pancake stove can bake them. Buy some raw ones and I'll bake them for you." Tian Zhinuo carried the things he bought to his left hand and held Wanyan Ruojin with his right hand, for fear that she would get lost.

Wanyan Ruojin's unease remained unabated, and she always paid attention to her surroundings.

Until I returned to Tian's house, I didn't see those suspicious people again.

True to his word, Tian Zino actually baked sweet potatoes for her, and they tasted really good.

Grandpa and grandma happened to have dinner with the two of them after they finished cleaning.

While chatting, he suddenly remembered Lao Hei, so Tian Zhinuo mentioned it to Wanyan Ruojin, "I'll take you to the river in a while. Lao Hei should be there."

As soon as Wanyan Ruojin nodded, the expressions of grandpa and grandma changed, and the corners of their mouths that were originally raised also closed up at this moment.

"Chengzi... I have to tell you something." Grandpa still spoke.

Tian Zhinuo noticed that the expressions of the two elders were not right, and felt uneasy in his heart, "What's the matter?"

Grandma tightened her throat and finally spoke, "Old Hei is gone..."
