Chapter 56(2/2)

At this time, in the temple, the old monk spoke calmly.

"Yes, Master."

Among the mountains and rivers outside the temple, Sanzang opened his eyes, with a gentle smile on his fair face. He picked up the purple gold bowl beside him and walked down the mountain.

The mountain road was rugged, but when Sanzang walked along it, it was as if he were walking on flat ground and was not affected by anything.

"Kill her! Kill this witch!"

At the foot of the mountain, angry shouts rang out, axes and sharp arrows flew past, bringing out a waterfall of dazzling vermilion.

Half a day later, at the foot of the mountain, a girl in an emerald green dress fell in a pool of blood.

The girl was so beautiful that she had the aura of heaven and earth that made people unable to take their eyes away from her once she saw her.

On the mountain road, Sanzang walked down. When he saw the fainted girl at the foot of the mountain, his fair face showed a look of unbearability, and he stepped forward to help the girl up.

"Girl, wake up." Sanzang called softly.

The girl in green clothes seemed to have heard the call of the little novice monk. She slowly opened her eyes and said in a weak voice, "Help...save me."

After saying that, the girl passed out again.

Sanzang frowned, hesitated, picked up the girl, and walked towards the village closest to the foot of the mountain.

In the village, I don't know what happened, there were cries everywhere, and vaguely, I seemed to hear someone saying that a demon appeared under the mountain and came to the village to eat several people.

"Amitabha!"

When Sanzang saw this, his expression became even more unbearable. He carried the girl in his arms to an abandoned shabby house and rested first.

After walking for a day, Sanzang felt a little hungry, so he took the purple gold bowl and went to the village to ask for alms.

In the village, Sanzang saw a woman with a child. He took two steps forward, bowed respectfully, and said, "Donor, little monk Sanzang is a monk on the mountain. Can you give me some vegetarian food for me to eat?"

The woman looked at the fair little novice monk in front of her, stretched out her hand to wipe away the tears from the corners of her eyes, and said, "Master, come with me."
