Chapter 401 Seven Days and Eternal Night, Maitreya Buddha
Author: Duguhuan
Master Sanle opened his heart, sat on the floor, and told everyone a story with a calm expression, a tortuous and bizarre story.
During the Jin Dynasty more than 300 years ago, the celestial phenomena suddenly changed. There was a seven-day eternal night. The sun, moon and stars were invisible. Blood rained from the sky. The statues of gods enshrined in various Taoist and Buddhist temples
Cracks appeared one after another.
Since then, gods and Buddhas have no longer responded to the prayers of mortals, and those human monks who have been recorded as ascending to heaven have no response to their descendants.
Even the Celestial Master Xu Xun, who had just ascended to heaven at that time.
The sky is full of gods and Buddhas, as if they have suddenly disappeared.
Because the gods and Buddhas disappeared, the order of the underworld also collapsed, and countless evil ghosts fled to the human world, causing chaos in the world, and the infamous Wuhu Luanhua appeared.
Later, the order of the human world was slowly restored, but the gods and Buddhas withdrew from the stage of history and never responded again.
However, what the world doesn't know is that there are a very small number of individual gods and Buddhas who built mausoleums for themselves in the human world and buried their true bodies, but their souls have disappeared.
The body of one of the ancient Buddhas was buried at the bottom of the sea, named Maitreya.
As the future Buddha among the three Buddhas, Maitreya has a respected status and is equivalent to the successor of the Buddha. His golden body remains immortal at the bottom of the sea. After years of wear and tear, it has not faded, and a new will has gradually been born.
In other words, it is the corpse that automatically cultivates into essence and gives birth to life.
This sounds very absurd, but flowers, birds, insects, fish, mountains, rocks, plants and trees can become spirits. The golden body of Maitreya Buddha is a rare treasure in the world. It is not surprising that consciousness is born over time.
The new-born Maitreya was confused and confused about everything in the world. I don't know whether it was luck or misfortune, but he met a guide, a mentor-like person.
The man's name was Moro, and he claimed to be the new Buddha of heaven and earth. He founded the Moro Sect and appointed Maitreya as the deputy leader.
He gave Maitreya a new name, called the Three Precepts: the first is the hatred of all living beings, the second is the precepts of the greed of all living beings, and the third is the precepts of the suffering of all living beings.
Mara taught the practice of the Three Precepts and imparted his own understanding of Buddhism.
He believes that the suffering of all sentient beings is caused by greed, anger and resentment, and these cannot be eradicated by themselves. The only way is to make him the only true Buddha believed by everyone in the world, and to peel off all those who have impure beliefs.
, just like farmers screening out grain seeds that are not suitable for planting.
At that time, with devout faith, his words will be regarded as golden rules by the world. He said to be compassionate, and there will be no more wars in the world. He said to do good, and there will be no more evil deeds in the world.
Only in this way can we truly realize the supreme state of "all living beings are Buddhas" in Mahayana Buddhism, and achieve a feat that even the Buddhas of the past could not accomplish.
At that time, the Three Precepts were just a blank piece of paper. He quickly accepted Moro's teachings and took up the position of deputy leader. However, after all, he was a life born from the golden body of Maitreya. His nature was pure and kind, and he had an innocent heart. After reading it himself
After reading a lot of Buddhist scriptures, I always feel that there are some problems with Moro's philosophy.
So he left Moro temporarily and chose to travel around the world alone, wanting to see the world for himself.
What he saw along the way made Sanjie fall into deep entanglement and pain.
On the one hand, he found that the world was indeed as Moro said, full of resentment, killing, violence, debauchery and other countless ugliness. His natural compassion made him take action many times, trying to save those evil people and make them put down their butcher knives.
.
But the result was failure without exception. The villains were always stubborn, unable to turn back, and could not put down their swords.
It seems that all this is true as Moro said, they can never become a "Buddha" by themselves. If they want to save all sentient beings, they must have a true Buddha that everyone can kneel down and worship devoutly.
But on the other hand, Sanjie discovered that there are many touching and admirable beauties in this world.
There are barefoot doctors carrying bamboo baskets on their backs, risking their lives to climb mountains to collect medicines and treat poor people.
There is a girl who can’t even eat enough, but is willing to break a piece of cake in half and give it to a beggar.
There was a young man who resolutely joined the army in order to protect his family and country. He was only twelve years old and was almost suffocated by the heavy armor.
Sanjie was very surprised to find that most of these people could not even read a single Chinese character, let alone read Buddhist scriptures. Many of them did not believe in Buddha either.
If Luo's plan is to be fulfilled, these people who do not believe in him are undoubtedly bad seeds and need to be screened out, but they are so kind, tenacious, and admirable.
Sanjie doubted Moro's ideas for the first time.
Later, he continued to travel, and after an unknown number of years, he met his first close friend in life, Bodhidharma.
Bodhidharma came from South India. The two met late and sat discussing Taoism for seven days and seven nights. After that, they walked together for a long time. During this period, Sanjie's understanding of Buddhism became more and more sophisticated, and he began to question Moro's ideas more and more.
However, Moro had taught him for a long time and held a very special position in his heart, so they did not break up until something happened.
At that time, Bodhidharma was about to face the wall and realize enlightenment, so Sanjie said goodbye to him and continued to travel. Ten years later, he suddenly received news from Moro, asking him to rush to meet him.
When Sanjie saw Moro again, he found that there was someone else beside Moro, a person he was familiar with but also a stranger. The former Bodhidharma was now Maha.
Maha was just like him when he was newly born with spiritual wisdom, looking at him ignorantly, with a hint of timidity in his eyes.
Maha said that he was injured and had to sleep for a while, leaving Sanjie to take care of and teach Maha.
Sanjie looked at the body of his once best friend, but now it was occupied by the snake demon, and his heart ached. He wanted to kill it many times, but looking at Maha's eyes that became more and more dependent and trusting, he finally couldn't do it.
Maha told him that he heard Sanskrit sounds every day and it was very painful.
Sanjie interpreted Buddhist scriptures for him, hoping to guide him to truly be kind and become a truly eminent monk.
But gradually he discovered that Maha was different from him. Maha had no interest or spirituality in Buddhist scriptures, and even had aversion hidden in his heart. His so-called great ambition was just to reduce the pain caused by Sanskrit sounds.
Later, when Sanjie tried to get him to break away from the Moro religion, Maha was very surprised and expressed his strong opposition and deep admiration for Moro.
In desperation, Sanjie finally had no choice but to betray the Moro Sect alone, and changed his name to Sanle. From then on, he traveled around the world, saving the common people with his meager efforts, while studying Buddhism, living in no fixed place, and wandering around the world.
Until he met Xuanzang in Yuzhang City.
…
When Sanle explained everything, a trace of relief appeared on his face.
It seems that these secrets have been weighing on his mind for a long time.
When Li Daoxuan and others heard all this, they had different expressions and could not calm down for a long time.
Especially Li Daoxuan, he looked at Master Sanle with a very strange look.
In other words, what is sitting in front of him now is the true body of the legendary future Buddha, Maitreya?
He had always thought that Master Sanle just looked like Maitreya, but he never thought that the other person was actually Maitreya himself!
It is said that Tang Monk can live forever if he eats meat. If Maitreya Buddha...
San Le looked at Li Daoxuan with some surprise, frowning slightly, wondering why Li Xiaoyou stared at me and swallowed?
