After proclaiming the emperor, Li Yuan ordered his son Li Shimin and others to lead the army to defeat Li Gui of Longxi, eliminate Xue Ju and his son of the Western Qin Dynasty, repel Liu Wuzhou and Song Jingang, capture Xia King Dou Jiande, make an emergency landing to Luoyang Wang Shichong, and quell peasant uprisings in various places.
