Chapter 1 Reunion(1/2)

 "Finally back..."

"Kyoto..."

Saijo Ayato looked at the scenery outside the train with complicated eyes.

Outside the window, there are high-rise buildings speeding by, pedestrians walking in a hurry on the street, and the same hot weather.

It’s no different from Tokyo.

He comforted himself in his heart.

The tram made a jingling sound, and a mechanically synthesized electronic female voice sounded: "This station is Kyoto Minami Station. Passengers who want to get off, please prepare in advance."

Saijo Ayato took a deep breath, shouldered his schoolbag, and pulled out the zipper of the suitcase.

Here we are, the place where we will live for the next two years.

Saijo Ayato walked out of the station. Minami Ward is technically a very developed area. Although it is still a little behind Tokyo, it is still a big city, but it has a richer history.

He was carrying a lot of things, and in such hot weather, waiting for the bus was tantamount to torture.

So the boy simply called a taxi using the APP.

Fortunately, when he came here, his parents gave him a lot of money, which was enough for him to spend a period of time. Although he would not do this, his parents gave him so much money at once because they believed that he was a child with strong self-control.

.

I have to say that taxis in Kyoto arrive faster than those in Tokyo. It may be that there are too many traffic lights in Tokyo and vehicles are easily jammed.

The enthusiastic driver took the initiative to get out of the car and put his luggage in the back seat.

Saijo Ayato smiled at the driver to express his gratitude, and the two got into the car.

"Are you going to Xia Lantong, guest?"

The driver glanced in the rearview mirror and saw that the boy in the back seat obediently fastened his seat belt as soon as he got into the car. This move greatly increased his liking for the boy.

"Yes." Saijo Ayato smiled and nodded.

The taxi soon started taking Ayato to his new home.

"The guest looks young. Are you coming here for a trip?" the enthusiastic driver asked.

Every taxi driver is a veteran talker. As long as the customers are not bored, they will always have a steady stream of topics to talk about. From small things at home to major national affairs, they can chat with you non-stop.

"No." Ayato took out a tissue and wiped the sweat on his head. Although it didn't take long from coming out of the station to getting on the train, the scorching sun still made him sweat a little.

"It's moving."

The boy gave a slightly unexpected answer.

"Moving? Is it just a guest?" the driver asked in surprise.

"Well, my parents don't live with me because of their work." Ayato explained.

"Is that so..." the driver suddenly realized, "It must be very troublesome to live alone. The guest should still be in school, right?"

"If I want to transfer to another school, I'm still a high school student."

"That's great. My son is the same. He just entered high school this year. Where did the guest go to school?"

"Southern District Luodu University."

"Luodu?" The driver was a little surprised, "Awesome, isn't that the number one high school in Kyoto?"

Ayato smiled and said nothing. Talking like this too much would inevitably make others think that he was acting pretentious, and he would not say anything if he could.

"Where did the guests come from?"

The driver didn't intend to let him go just like that, but continued to ask curiously.

"Tokyo, I also went to school in Kyoto when I was young, but because my parents were working, I went to Tokyo to study for a few more years." Ayato explained.

"Because my parents were about to be transferred away again, they were worried that I would not be able to live well alone in Tokyo. This transfer would take me to a far away place and they couldn't take me with them, so they asked me to go back to Kyoto. After all, Kyoto is familiar with them.

My old friend, can you help me take care of me."

After hearing his explanation, the driver understood.

Along the way, the talkative driver kept Ayato chatting. Fortunately, their destination was not very far and they arrived in a short while.

Saijo Ayato quickly picked up his luggage and left the taxi almost as if he was running away. He watched the taxi drive away with lingering fear.

This uncle driver is also very good at chatting, and he chats endlessly. He really can't stand such enthusiastic people.

Saijo Ayato breathed a long sigh of relief and looked at the apartment building in front of him.

This is where he will live for the next few years.

Saijo Ayato dragged his suitcase and walked up the stairs. Although his parents gave him a lot of money before coming, he always saved what he could and simply rented a small apartment with one bedroom, one living room and one bathroom.

house.

Taking out the key sent to him by the previous landlord, Ayato opened the door of the room.

The inside is not too dirty, but there is still some dust. After all, the last tenant was a long time ago. The kitchen is on the side of the living room, connected to the open kitchen, and the bathroom is separated from dry and wet areas.

After inspecting the house, Saijo Ayato nodded with some satisfaction. A standard single luxury apartment was his ideal type.

The boy put his luggage aside and started to clean the house. His parents worked overtime all year round, and he had been doing various housework since he was a child. Cleaning the house was nothing to him.

After packing some things away, Ayato wiped the sweat from his face and changed into clean clothes. Next, he had to go out to buy some daily necessities.

The location of his apartment is pretty good, with shopping malls around it. The only downside is that the tram station is a bit far from his apartment, at the other end of the shopping mall, and you need to walk for a while to get around it.

The school he wants to attend is also some distance from the apartment. Fortunately, he does not plan to join a club. The clubs in the island country last longer, so as long as he does not join, he can return home early.

Ayato strolled slowly in the mall, his purpose was very clear, he only bought what he needed.

"Shampoo, facial cleanser, shower gel..."

The teenager counts the items in the shopping cart.

"I still need to buy dish soap..." he said to himself.

Pushing the shopping cart, he turned around and walked towards the home kitchen.

On the shelf nearby, he saw the dish soap he wanted to buy.

When I was about to reach out to get it, the dishwashing liquid had already been taken by another person.

"Huh?" The man looked at Ayato's hand stretched out in the air with some surprise.

"Ah...it's okay, you can take it..."

Ayato reacted and smiled politely.

"Thank you." He waved the dish soap in his hand and said with a bright smile.

Saijo Ayato nodded and was about to turn around to check out. It wasn't a big deal if he couldn't buy dish soap. It wouldn't be too late to buy it tomorrow. Anyway, he took the train for half a day today and came back to clean again. He was already too tired and didn't want to cook at night.

.

"Um, are you... Saijo?" The man behind him suddenly asked with doubts.

"Huh?"

Saijo Ayato turned around in surprise.

"Who are you?"

The man's eyes widened: "Is it really Saijo? You actually returned to Kyoto? When did you come back?"

"Do we... know each other?" Saijo Ayato hesitated and asked a little confused.

The man scratched his head and laughed: "We haven't seen each other for so many years. It's normal that you don't recognize me. I'm your elementary school classmate."

"Elementary school classmates?"

"Yes, I am Nakajima Yumura." The man pointed to his nose and said excitedly, "Do you remember me? We used to play together when we were kids."

"Nakajima...Yuncun..."

Saijo Ayato looked a little confused. The next moment, his eyes widened and he looked at him in disbelief:

"Nakashima Cloud Village?!"

"Yes, yes, you just remembered it, hahaha."

"Wait a minute..." Saijo Ayato waved his hands repeatedly with a horrified look on his face.

"Isn't Nakajima Kumomura a woman?"

Looking at the man who was taller than him, Saijo Ayato was a little surprised.

Nakajima Kumomura's old face turned red: "Who said I'm a girl? It's just that I didn't grow my hair when I was a child, so I look a bit like a girl. Aren't all children like this?"

"But you had long hair when you were a kid, right?!"

"That's because cutting hair is too troublesome! It's easy to understand!"
