Chapter 53 Luo Sigong
What does Zhu Youxiao think of this statement?
He feels very good.
What's this? Does the imperial power rely on some kind of destiny?
Never. It has been nothing but deception since time immemorial.
In Zhu Youxiao's view, this is self-deception. Bullshit destiny. In the land of China, since ancient times, there has been a cry of "Princes, generals, and ministers would rather have the seed."
Rule always relies on power, not any other messy things. When the emperor controls the country's army, his rule is stable, otherwise it is nonsense.
Is there any big deal about what Li Zhi said?
In Zhu Youxiao's view, Li Zhi's thoughts can provide some foundation for himself.
For example, Li Zhi's idea of equality, according to the principle of the unity of all things, there is no distinction between high and low in society. The common people are not humble, they have their own respectable aspects; the nobles are not noble, but they also have their despicable aspects.
What can this idea provide him, Zhu Youxiao?
It can provide itself with reasons to deal with nobles, nobles, and gentry. There is nothing noble about you, and you also have humble things. In this case, you have broken the law, and it is naturally very safe and just for me to deal with you.
This thought could make him raise Zhu Youxiao's butcher's knife high, crushing with one kick the thought that "the punishment is not worthy of a doctor, but the courtesy of a common man".
Of course, some areas also need to be changed and implemented according to your own ideas, such as paying taxes.
I can completely transfer the views of future generations on taxation. Taxation is taken from the people and used by the people. Taxation is the responsibility and obligation of every Ming Dynasty citizen. If you want to avoid paying tax, it is impossible.
The most important thing is that Li Zhi's faction and Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism faction have hatred.
How did Li Zhi die?
In the 30th year of Wanli's reign, the Ministry of Rites reported to Shenzong that Zhang Wenda had followed the orders of the first assistant Shen Guangyuan and criticized Li Zhi. Finally, Li Zhi was arrested in Tongzhou on the charge of "daring to promote chaos, confuse the world and falsely accuse the people", and burned his works.
.
After Li Zhi was imprisoned, he said frankly: "Famous mountains and valleys are everywhere, but there is no entrance to this wall. I only know that I am there during the illness, and how many times it is day and night."
Later, when he heard that the imperial court was going to escort him back to his hometown in Fujian, he said with emotion: "I am seventy-six years old, how can I return to my hometown if I die?"
On March 15, Li Zhi left a verse: "A strong man never forgets to be in the ravine, and a martyr never forgets to lose his strength." Later, in the name of shaving his hair, he took the barber's razor and cut his own throat and died.
He was 76 years old.
In the movement to criticize Lin Biao and Confucius in 1974, Li Zhi was praised as a hero who respected the law and opposed Confucianism, and his works were classified as "Legalism".
Now, Zhu Youxiao can completely do this. After all, Li Zhi is dead, and his thoughts can be used as much as he likes, and he can change his thoughts into his own ideas.
Li Zhi's disciples can be used for his own purposes. They have enmity with Neo-Confucianism and the current Donglin Party and people in the officialdom. They are perfect substitutes. After the Donglin Party is eliminated, they are the best
Heir.
Zhu Youxiao saw one thing very clearly, that is, most of the people who joined the Donglin Party wanted to be officials. These people had no bottom line and no determination to defend their doctrine with death.
As long as you build a hilltop for them, they will rush over directly. After the eunuch hilltop was erected, how many people rushed over? How many people revised Wei Zhongxian's poetry?
In comparison, once the Li Zhi school of thought is established, these people can rush over without hesitation and without any bottom line, which is more complete than defecting to the eunuchs.
Especially the disciples of Xinxue, they will flock to me as if they have found a backbone.
How powerful are these people?
The answer is very powerful. They did not stop until the end of Ming Dynasty.
Li Zhi once lectured in the south of the Yangtze River, triggering the phenomenon of tens of thousands of people following him. As soon as Li Zhi started giving lectures, no matter which temple, or deep in the mountains and forests, monks, woodcutter, farmers, and even women bravely opened their shy boudoir doors.
Almost everyone in the city came to listen to Li Zhi's lectures.
Suddenly, Li Zhi became an academic star sweeping across Confucianism, Buddhism, and the people. Even in the last years of Chongzhen, Li Zhi still had a large number of followers.
How can we not use this kind of thinking?
"Chen Hong." Zhu Youxiao turned around and greeted.
Chen Hong ran over quickly, bowed and said: "Your Majesty."
"Invite Luo Sigong to enter the palace." Zhu Youxiao ordered with an expressionless face.
"Yes, Your Majesty." Chen Hong agreed and quickly found someone to summon Luo Sigong.
Luo Sigong is not yet the commander of the Jinyiwei. In the 41st year of Wanli, Wang Zhizhen, the left governor of the Jinyiwei, was dismissed. Luo Sigong was appointed as the capital to command Qianshi, and Qian Shu was in charge of Jinyiwei. He became the chief officer of Jinyiwei.
In July of the forty-eighth month of Wanli, Emperor Taichang, the cheap father, passed away. Luo Sigong, as a guard in the East Palace, took charge of internal and external protection, and did his best to protect the personal safety of the new emperor, Emperor Tianqi, and made great contributions.
Because of this meritorious service, Luo Sigong was promoted to Commander of the Jinyi Guards, Shaobao and Taibao of the Crown Prince, and Left Commander of the Rear Army Governor's Mansion.
Zhu Youxiao also wants to give Luo Sigong a try this time. If he is useful, then use him; if he is not, then completely replace him.
Luo Sigong was born into a Jinyiwei family. His father, Luo Bingliang, had thousands of Jinyiwei families. In the 20th year of Wanli, he led the Jinyiwei on an expedition to North Korea to collect military intelligence and other tasks. This was known in history as the Wanli Korean War.
There is some ability, especially in intelligence work. Luo Sigong is very good at it. But he and Wei Zhongxian are not on the same path, or he looks down on Wei Zhongxian.
This is not a big deal to Zhu Youxiao. It's better that they don't like each other. If they like each other, what's the point of being the emperor?
Although Dongchang supervises Jinyiwei, it can only be a supervision, and it cannot be a promotion. Otherwise, wouldn't it be better to set up a Dongchang?
Jinyiwei has the role of Jinyiwei, which is completely unmatched by Dongchang. Zhu Youxiao knows this very well in his heart.
Luo Sigong came quickly.
For Luo Sigong, Jin Yiwei and himself were under great pressure during this period. Dongchang's reputation was rising and he won His Majesty's trust. Jin Yiwei's life was not easy.
Now that His Majesty summoned him, Luo Sigong naturally did not dare to neglect and hurried over.
After entering the main hall, Luo Sigong lifted up his clothes and knelt down on the ground and said: "I, Commander Luo Sigong of the Royal Guards, are here to see Your Majesty."
Zhu Youxiao nodded and said expressionlessly: "Get up!"
When Luo Sigong stood up, Zhu Youxiao looked directly at Luo Sigong and asked: "Is the Jinyi Guard still worthy of use now?"
As soon as Luo Sigong heard this, he knew that he had a job to do. He quickly took a step forward and said loudly: "Your Majesty, the Jinyi Guards are ready to die at any time for your Majesty."
"Very good." Zhu Youxiao said with satisfaction: "I have one thing for you to do. Please help me find someone to come." Thank you for everyone's support. Yesterday, I temporarily ranked first in the same period. I hope everyone will continue to support Zhou Zhou! Thank you.
