Chapter 5 A huge crisis!

Amid a burst of noise, the crowd separated into a lane.

Jiang Lang looked around and saw an old man rushing over.

The old man has gray-white hair and kind eyes. A little carrot head follows him step by step.

This is a four or five-year-old girl with a bun, dark skin, and an animal skin skirt. She has a round face and a pair of big eyes like twinkling stars under her thick eyelashes.

The village chief urged: "Pharmacist, please save Da Zhuang!"

"Let me see."

The pharmacist quickly stepped forward, knelt down, and examined Uncle Da Zhuang.

Then, the pharmacist stood up sadly, shook his head, and said: "The death orifice has been opened, the black energy has completely exploded, and there is no way to save it."

As soon as he finished speaking, the black polyp growing on Uncle Da Zhuang's arm suddenly made a "pop" sound and exploded, and a cloud of black gas escaped.

The pharmacist's eyelids twitched, as if he had expected something, and he immediately turned around, covering his granddaughter's curious and dazed eyes.

Hearing the sound, Jiang Lang looked away and his eyes widened, as if he had seen something unimaginably terrifying.

What on earth is this... this death energy?

In front of my eyes, those black gases seemed to be conscious and quickly enveloped Uncle Da Zhuang.

Perhaps feeling death, Uncle Da Zhuang let out a shrill scream, and his whole face became distorted.

In an instant, Uncle Da Zhuang's cheeks, chest and other parts were all sunken deeply, and his strong body was like a deflated rubber ball, becoming as skinny as a stick.

The terrifying look was as if all the flesh and blood in the body had been sucked away, leaving only a piece of skin covering it.

At this time, Uncle Da Zhuang had completely lost his vitality.

Jiang Lang clenched his fists and tried his best to suppress the uneasiness and fear in his heart.

This was the first time he faced such a scene of death, and one can imagine the shock it brought to his soul.

Seeing this scene, everyone also had fear and panic in their eyes, and some even couldn't stand this scene and turned away.

"Kid, have a good trip."

The village chief's face was quite calm. He sighed, skillfully picked up a piece of linen cloth and covered the body of Uncle Da Zhuang who had lost his breath.

Then, he ordered: "Let's bury it."

Then the woman's sad cry rang out. It was the strong wife, and she felt that the sky was falling.

Accompanied by the woman's cries, under the leadership of the village chief, everyone did not have much time to grieve and began to deal with the aftermath of Uncle Da Zhuang.

The people of Jiang Village have already seen through life and death. After all, death is a common thing here in the wilderness.

There is nothing more difficult than living, and there is nothing better than living. After death, everything is nothing, and only living is the greatest happiness.

No matter what, people have to face reality and life has to go on.

Living is also the greatest respect for the deceased.

"Yanyan, go back."

The pharmacist sighed, then took his granddaughter and walked out.

The little girl had a bad premonition and couldn't help but ask: "Grandpa, what's wrong with Uncle Zhuang? Why don't you let me see him?"

"He went."

"Gone? Where did Uncle Da Zhuang go? When will he come back?"

Blinking her big confused and pure eyes, the little girl asked questions like a barrage of questions.

"Child, where do you come from so many problems?"

The pharmacist replied angrily, looking at that young and innocent face, he still explained: "Uncle Da Zhuang will never come back. He is going to sleep in the soil, which means he is dead."

"Uh."

The little girl showed a look that seemed to understand, and then asked: "Will grandpa die too?"

"Do you hope grandpa will die?"

"No, I don't want grandpa to die."

The little girl nervously grabbed the hem of her clothes and said quickly.

"Finally, my love for you is not in vain."

The pharmacist touched her head and said with a smile: "Don't worry, even if grandpa is old, he won't die even if the sky falls and the earth falls."

"I knew grandpa was immortal."

"..."

Not far away, in the crowd.

Taking a deep look at Uncle Da Zhuang who was carried away, Jiang Lang's face turned slightly pale and he felt a little heavy.

He couldn't help but think that one day, he would be like Uncle Da Zhuang, right?

When people mentioned the words 'death aperture' and 'black scales' before, he felt an inexplicable fear out of an instinct.

Jiang Lang had a bad feeling.

The sad atmosphere is spreading, and everyone gradually disperses.

After hurriedly taking a few steps forward, Jiang Lang grabbed Daniel who was about to leave and asked, "Daniu, tell me quickly, what's going on with the death orifice?"

Seeing the puzzled look in Daniel's eyes, Jiang Lang realized that he was impatient, and immediately softened his words: "I had a head injury some time ago, and I have forgotten some things."

Jiang Daniu showed his original expression, and then said in a low voice: "The place in the body where the death energy gathers is called the death orifice.

Almost everyone here in the wilderness has the same thing, but the location where the death orifice grows is different."

Such terrible things actually exist!

Jiang Lang was horrified and said: "You said everyone has a death key?

Really?"

"Uncle Da Zhuang's death orifice is on his left arm, and mine is on my calf. You see, it's this scary guy, stuck here, which makes me very unhappy."

As Jiang Daniu spoke, he rolled up his right trouser leg.

A black tumor like a quail egg, ferociously raised, making people shudder!

He followed: "Once the death orifice is accidentally punctured or burst, the surrounding skin will be infected and black scales will develop, which means death is not far away."

Jiang Lang's eyelids twitched, he couldn't believe it, and he said with horror: "Why do we all have death orifices? Are we born this way?"

"It's not because of the black fog here in the wilderness."

"Black mist?"

"The black fog that comes every year will sweep in without warning as scheduled. The wilderness outside is not protected by the divine light like the village. Those birds and beasts will naturally be corroded by the black fog."

Jiang Daniu solemnly explained: "The black energy in our bodies is the result of swallowing up these birds and animals infected with the black mist. It accumulates over time and gradually gathers together."

"In other words, what we eat now is, in a sense, poisoning our bodies!"

Jiang Lang took a deep breath and shuddered.

Daniel said calmly: "That's it, this is our fate."

"Our lives..."

Jiang Lang paused and then said dejectedly: "It turns out that everything is unavoidable."

"If you eat these things, your body will grow out of it sooner or later. If you don't eat it, you will just wait to starve to death."

Here in the wilderness, although eating food contaminated by the strange black mist may shorten your life by ten years, you can't survive a day without eating it.

Jiang Daniu looked away, because this was the real and cruel living situation in Dahuang!

However, Jiang Lang was slightly absent-minded and found it difficult to accept it for a while.

Crisis, huge crisis!

Not only is the world outside the village full of dangers, but there are also dangers within itself.

Jiang Lang still thought that it would be good to stay in the village safely, eat and die, but now it seems that he can't even live in the village and can only wait to die.

According to this, won't he be like Uncle Da Zhuang in the future?

As if he could read Jiang Lang's thoughts, Jiang Daniu patted his shoulder and comforted him carelessly: "Don't think too much, the future can't be explained clearly.

Maybe one day you will die before your death orifice breaks out, so just be careful."

Jiang Lang was speechless. He wanted to tell Daniel that you, you can't speak, just say less.

He also understands that here no one knows the future or the accident, which one will come first. It is better to live heartlessly and live a fulfilling life every day. This is also the way of survival for people in the wilderness.

But Jiang Lang was in a bad mood. Seeing the horrific death of Uncle Da Zhuang, he didn't want to be his turn next.

Living in the dangerous wilderness is inevitable, but he doesn't want to die and must live!

Jiang Lang asked unwillingly: "Is there no way to prevent the death energy from erupting in the body?"

Jiang Daniu said: "There are ways...there are ways."

"What? You said there is a way, what can you tell me?"
