Chapter 13 Fire Rock Deer

 Outside the village.

In front of us, there are majestic mountains, rising from the ground, overlapping, rolling, and majestic.

Looking from a distance, the dark and bottomless mountain gives people a sense of suffocating oppression.

Led by Uncle Tiezhu, Jiang Lang and his group headed towards the mountains.

As you walk further into the mountain, you can see that the low bushes were replaced by tall trees.

Every ancient tree here is thousands of years old, so it is extremely strong. When the dense branches and leaves spread, only a little light shines in through the gaps, and along the narrow mountain road, the field of vision becomes dim.

Along the way, Jiang Lang relied on his keen senses, and he could even hear the terrifying roars of beasts dozens of miles deep in the mountains, and there were more than one.

Just listening to the roars of these beasts can make people's hair stand on end and their hearts tremble.

The mountains are indeed dangerous places, with ferocious beasts everywhere!

Following the crowd, Jiang Lang looked extra cautious. Fortunately, the spear he held tightly in his hand gave him a sense of security.

Uncle Tiezhu reminded everyone: "There are many ferocious beasts here. Please stay vigilant and don't fall behind."

As a good hunter in the village, Uncle Tiezhu has rich hunting experience and is also aware of various dangers in the mountains.

On the way, Uncle Tiezhu told Jiang Lang and his party that the target of this hunting was Huoyan Deer.

This kind of ferocious beast is timid and not very aggressive compared to other violent ferocious beasts.

Of course, when the Fire Rock Deer goes crazy, it will use the antlers on its head to charge and attack, and cannot compete with it head-on.

Because the pair of antlers are extremely strong, comparable to fine iron, ordinary iron tools can only be broken if they are used, not to mention the fragile body.

Listening to Uncle Tiezhu's introduction, Jiang Lang kept these key points in mind.

After walking for some distance, Daniel told Jiang Lang: "Going through the woods in front is the habitat of the Fire Rock Deer."

Jiang Lang perked up and was about to make preparations when Uncle Tiezhu's expression suddenly changed slightly and he stopped walking: "Wait, everyone, stop!"

Jiang Lang said unexpectedly: "Did you find the Huoyan Deer?"

Uncle Tiezhu shook his head, squatted down, picked up a twig, and gently moved something, "Look here."

"This is..."

Jiang Lang took a closer look and couldn't help but cover his nose slightly.

Before he finished speaking, Daniel couldn't wait to squeeze in from behind, stretched out a hand to touch, and finally identified the object, and said with a smile: "It's feces!"

Jiang Lang twitched the corner of his eye. If you can clearly see something with your eyes, don't do it yourself.

"Well, it's the feces of a ferocious beast. There are a lot of hairs in it. It seems to be a carnivorous ferocious beast.

Also, it’s not completely dry here, it’s very fresh, it should have been left over from the past two days.”

Uncle Tiezhu speculated.

"There are footprints."

Daniel found a mark next to it.

Uncle Tiezhu immediately stepped forward, put his hand in the pit, made a gesture, and said: "If my estimate is correct, these are the footprints of a green-eyed violent bear. This ferocious beast is very scary and has a strong sense of territory.

Will tear apart any intruder.

We can't handle it at all, so we'd better take a detour."

Seeing that the habitat of the Fire Rock Deer was very close, Uncle Tiezhu acted cautiously and did not choose to rush directly.

Jiang Lang and the others followed Uncle Tiezhu's instructions and did not dare to hesitate. They immediately turned around and returned along the original road.

But before taking a few steps, a beast roar came!

Opening his eyes wide, Jiang Lang saw a black bear in the jungle not far ahead. It was very terrifying. It was seven or eight meters long, like a small mountain.

It swayed there, the earth trembled, its mouth opened wide, and a pair of exposed fangs flashed with a cold light.

"It's a blue-eyed violent bear, don't be afraid!

This beast has bad eyesight, please don’t move here and don’t make any noise.”

Uncle Tiezhu stared ahead, holding the giant ax tightly in his hand, and whispered a reminder. Compared with others, his face was much calmer.

Encountering such a big guy for the first time, Jiang Lang couldn't help but panic, but he still followed Uncle Tiezhu's instructions, held his breath and didn't dare to move again.

Trouble, we really encountered a vicious beast!

Jiang Lang's keen senses could clearly see the bloody meat residue left in the teeth of the violent green bear in front of him, which made people shudder.

He calculated that the spear in his hand might be of no use against this huge beast.

This is undoubtedly a toothpick stirring up a big vat and an egg striking a stone!

Everyone felt as if they were facing a formidable enemy, not daring to take a breath. They all stared at the green-eyed violent bear, motionless.

The atmosphere was extremely tense!

Fortunately, this green-eyed violent bear seemed to have eaten enough and had no intention of hanging around. After shaking its head for a while, it found a nest under a big tree and lay down to sleep.

Seeing this, Jiang Lang breathed a sigh of relief, and with a tense expression, he followed the crowd carefully along the original path and slowly retreated.

Although this process was very tense, the hunting team finally exited the territory of the Blue Eyed Violent Bear without any danger.

After passing through a winding mountain road, led by Uncle Tiezhu, Jiang Lang and the others finally arrived at their hunting destination.

"Crash..."

Looking around, from the top of the stone cliff, water flows gurgling down, constantly converging on the small pool in front of us, with rippling blue waves.

The surrounding environment is very quiet, and this is the ideal drinking place for Huoyan deer.

"Hide them all, don't move around, and listen to my orders later."

Uncle Tiezhu reminded everyone, and then he found a hidden bush and squatted there, staring at the pool with sharp and compelling eyes, waiting for the prey to take the bait.

The hunting team has a clear division of labor, and everyone has found a hiding place.

Jiang Lang was naked, with putrid soil beneath his feet. The smell was really unpleasant.

He held the spear tightly in his hand and stared unblinkingly at the pool in front of him.

I have to say that sometimes hunting is a very test of patience.

Time flies, half an hour has passed.

However, no Fire Rock Deer was found around the pool, and there was no movement at all.

Jiang Lang murmured in his heart, would this hunt he was looking forward to come back empty-handed?

"Tie Zhu, how long do we have to wait?"

Someone in the hunting team couldn't help but speak. When he noticed Tie Zhu's stern eyes, he added: "I'm not impatient. I'm afraid that if we delay any longer, the black fog will come."

"Wait a little longer. If you don't see the Fire Rock Deer again, go back."

Tie Zhu thought for a while and said.

After a while, the surroundings of the pool were still as quiet as before.

Tie Zhu raised his head and glanced at the sky, his expression slightly solemn, and then he glanced at the people around him. Everyone's face was a little anxious.

It’s nothing to come back empty-handed from hunting. At most, you’re hungry for a few meals.

But if you don’t go back after the time, the black fog will come, and what you will lose will be your life!

As the captain of the hunting team, Tiezhu quickly made a decision.

Seeing Uncle Tiezhu about to get up, Jiang Lang sighed secretly.

It seems that today's hunting was a success and will be completely in vain.

While I was thinking about it, suddenly, a commotion came from the woods opposite.

In the sight, a pair of huge red horns appeared, and then a fiery red figure slowly walked towards the pool.

That's a fire rock deer!

Then the second head, the third head...
