Volume 1: Mishui Comes East Chapter 1: Miluo

The upper reaches of the blue ink is the Miluo River.

The Mi River originates from the Huanglong Mountain in the Mufu Mountains, flows down the mountains and hills, flows through the hometown of Luozi Kingdom, and finally merges into the Xiang River and flows into Yunmeng Daze. It is one of the few rivers that flows from east to west in China.

On both sides of the Mi River, there are lush forests and bamboos, lotus rice fields, painted mountains and embroidered waters, woven into a brocade.

Luo County is like a bright pearl, embellished on brocade, shining brightly on the south bank of Mi River.

In the fourth year of Zhongping (AD 187), the Pearl was in danger of being covered in dust.

"Pa! Drive~ drive!"

On the official road, the sound of horse whips crackled, and two knights with colorful silk arms spurred their horses and galloped away from the county town, without any intention of cherishing the horse power.

It was just after noon, and although there was not much traffic, there were quite a lot of pedestrians on the official road. Seeing this, everyone hurriedly moved to both sides of the official road to avoid it, and curses started to spread.

On the roadside, a young knight hugged the horse's neck, dismounted, walked to the awning of an oxcart, and said loudly: "Ah, I am a barbarian from Yuhua Pavilion. I am in a hurry. I don't know what is urgent."

"He's worried about himself, so what does that have to do with you?" The middle-aged Confucian scholar waved his hand and motioned for the young man to continue on his way, "Let's go to the city."

"only."

Outside Yuhua Pavilion.

"Drive~ drive! Come on~"

The two knights, whose arms were tied with colorful silk, yanked the reins and reined in their horses urgently. They immediately stepped on the stirrups, dismounted, and rolled and crawled towards the pavilion.

"Brother!/Pavilion Chief!"

"Who is calling me?!" Hearing the noise, the head of Yuhua Pavilion, Qu Zhuang, led the pavilion's father and two pavilion soldiers to greet him.

"Who do I think it is? It turns out to be you two. Why are you in such a mess?" Looking at the two tribesmen in front of him with their hands on their knees and their heads lowered, out of breath, Ou Huang was a little confused.

"Ah Chang, go get the ladle of water. Ah Fu, go take the horse to the stable and tie it up."

"only."

The two pavilion guards hurriedly stuffed the copper coins back to ask for the stolen clothes, dropped the gambling chips in their hands, and followed the order.

"Brother, Shaojun was arrested by the new county magistrate! Think about it..."

"What?!"

As soon as the knight opened his mouth, he was interrupted by Ou Zhuang's sharp shout. The atmosphere in the pavilion instantly became tense.

"Shaojun was arrested by the new county magistrate!"

"Is this true?!"

"It's absolutely true! A'kang and I saw with our own eyes that Shaojun was arrested by the new county magistrate!"

After hearing the news, Ou Huang pressed his sword with his right hand and walked anxiously in the pavilion. After going back and forth several times from the table to the door, and from the door to the table, he finally calmed down and asked.

:

"When and where was Shaojun arrested by the county magistrate, for what reason, and where is he being detained?"

"Because tomorrow is the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, today at midnight, Shaojun ordered A Kang and I to bring Xiao and calamus wine and set off with him from Ou Jiachong to Luo County to visit the new county magistrate Dong Jun."

"At the beginning, Mr. Dong and Mr. Shao had a very pleasant conversation, and there was no hesitation. At about the end of Mo Si hour and the beginning of noon, an official came to report, saying: 'Today, the Mi River is flowing backward, turning from clear to turbid.'"

"Unexpectedly, Mr. Dong suddenly changed his expression and rebuked Mr. Shaojun, saying: 'This is the fault of the tiger! He colluded with the Wuling Man and the Lingling Man with the intention of treason, so there was a warning that the water would flow back!'"

"As the young gentleman was about to defend himself, several people swarmed him and knocked him down. The incident happened so suddenly that A'kang and I had no time to save him, so we were beaten out of the county office with sticks."

"Brother, please come up with an idea quickly!" Young men Ah Le and Ah Kang prostrated themselves on the ground and begged each other sincerely.

"Do the tribesmen know about this?"

"You probably don't know yet - after we came out of the county government office, we ran straight to Yuhua Pavilion without stopping - we didn't go back to the district home to rush. There is no other news that will be faster than our horses."

The Ou clan of Ou Jiachong is not a famous family, but the largest tribe among the Changsha barbarians who have organized households for all people.

The person detained by the new Luo County magistrate was none other than Ou Zhuang's younger brother and the eldest grandson of the current patriarch of the Ou clan, Ou Xing.

In other words, the person detained by the new Luo County magistrate is the grandson of Qu Shuai, the largest tribe of barbarians in Changsha.

In Guanghua Pavilion, Ou Huang felt like he was sitting on pins and needles.

If the matter of Shaojun being detained by the county magistrate cannot be properly resolved, given the unruly nature of the tribe, a riot is just around the corner.

"Major changes unseen in a century are just around the corner."

Shaojun's categorical assertions were still ringing in his ears. Ou Huang knew in his heart that if the tribe rebelled, the future of the tribe would be unclear, but his personal career in the Han Dynasty was definitely coming to an end.

"The Mi River flows back? The Mi River flows back every May! God Panhu is above, may you be safe and sound!"
