Chapter 6(2/2)
For the evening meeting.
Dean was uneasy and a little yearning at the same time.
He took a few deep breaths to calm down, picked up his phone again, and sent Eve the location of the forest cabin where Nathan and others were buried, and also mentioned the reimbursement of his undercover expenses.
Eve did not reply to the text message, but called directly.
She was obviously in a good mood: "Dean, the money has been taken back to the police station. Once the cabin you mentioned is found, the case can be closed in two days at the earliest."
"Deputy Eve, congratulations."
"Thank you, Dean. It's all thanks to you. I want to treat you to dinner tonight and talk about your request for reimbursement of undercover expenses."
Dean rolled his eyes.
Do you want to eat?
He obviously wants to eat him!
He said angrily: "No, Deputy Eve, I haven't been back for several days because of the undercover incident. I'm going to go home for a visit."
Eve was a little disappointed: "Well, I'll give you two days off. When you come back, we'll have a good chat about undercover expense reimbursement."
Hang up the phone.
Dean contacted the landlord again.
After he agreed not to pay the rent for the next few days, the landlord readily agreed to return the deposit to Dean's account.
It was originally a temporary residence.
Dean didn't bother to go back and pack those clothes.
He also wants to buy gifts for his younger siblings.
But the next phone call came.
But it completely broke his plan.
