Chapter 18: The Triangular Relationship

"There is such a thing?" After listening to Shan Sihua's narration, Age replied: "I guess things are not as simple as Dr. Zeng said. The white plastic bag should not be a fake medicinal material." Age's words were full of doubts.

"Not medicinal materials? Do you mean, Doctor Zeng is lying to me?" Shan Sihua tried hard to search the appearance of the white plastic bag he saw that night, and then asked.

"It's very likely." Age continued: "Think about it, if it's a smuggling medicinal material, it doesn't take three o'clock in the middle of the night. And he has also tried you in advance to prove that he is definitely not as simple as buying smuggling medicinal material."

"If it weren't for smuggling medicinal materials, what transactions were they doing?" Shan Sihua asked in confusion.

"If I guessed it right, they would have done a drug deal that night." Although Ag's voice came from his throat, Shan Sihua heard a muffled thunder.

Drug deal?

Shan Sihua couldn't help but be stunned. Such a transaction was caught, but it was a matter of losing his head. No wonder Dr. Zeng was so mysterious. Thinking of all the things that night, Shan Sihua felt more and more that Age's guess was correct.

If it is a medicinal material smuggling business, they can do it during the day. Dr. Zeng’s small building is located in a remote location and is secret, so there is no need to worry about being discovered. The transactions to be conducted in the middle of the night, except for drugs, do not seem to have a more reasonable explanation.

Although Shan Sihua had never touched drugs, he had heard of it a little. If things were really as Age said, he shouldn't have rushed downstairs that night.

"Have you checked that plastic bag in detail?" Age explained his point of view and then asked again.

"I asked the plastic bag later, and he said he didn't know where to throw it." Shan Sihua answered truthfully, and the scene he experienced that night appeared in front of his eyes like a movie.

"I dare to conclude that he must be lying to you. The plastic bag contains drugs!" Ag continued to guess: "Because you are afraid that you will be suspicious, I lied that I threw it away."

Age's words made Shan Sihua even more convinced that Dr. Zeng had deceived him that night. Looking back on the fake smuggling medicinal materials that Dr. Zeng made at that time, it was like an endorsement, as if he had already made up.

In an instant, Shan Sihua outlined such a scene in his mind.

That night, Boss Li agreed on the time for drug trading, first test whether he fell asleep, and then went downstairs to trade. Then he found that there was a quality problem, so he chased him out to get back the money, but he was hit by himself. In desperation, he made up a set of lies about smuggling medicinal materials.

Dr. Zeng is really cunning and actually said that drug transactions are smuggled medicinal materials. Shan Sihua secretly praised him and had to admire Age's judgment.

But why did Dr. Zeng buy drugs? Could it be that he bought it for Boss Li?

"What business does Boss Li do? How come he has so much money to support this group of people?" Based on the above doubts, Shan Sihua couldn't help but ask questions.

"What do you mean is that Boss Li is doing this business quietly, and Dr. Zeng is the person in charge of buying?" Age followed Shan Sihua's thoughts and continued.

"I heard that such a business is very rich. Boss Li has such a large expense every day. If he hadn't done this business quietly, where would he have so much money?" Shan Sihua continued to raise his doubts.

Shan Sihua's guess is not without reason. I think that it is indeed a considerable expense for Boss Li to raise a group of horsemen on weekdays, which requires such ill-gotten gains. Moreover, Dr. Zeng's building is so hidden that it should be convenient for him to do such a business. Dr. Zeng is nominally a surgeon, who secretly bought it for Boss Li to keep the quality in mind.

Shan Sihua's suspicion was not recognized by Age, and he explained: "I don't think Boss Li did not do such a business. If it is true as you said, then why does he have to let you sleep at Dr. Zeng's house that night? Wouldn't that cause trouble?"

"It's not like that. Boss Li asked me to live there because I wanted me to pay attention to whether Dr. Zeng's daughter would sneak back in the middle of the night, and not to live there because I wanted me to live there." Shan Sihua replied without thinking.

"What did you say? Doctor Zeng's daughter?" It was Age's turn to ask in confusion: "What does Dr. Zeng's daughter have to do with Boss Li? You still need to pay attention to it?"

Hearing Age's question, Shan Sihua realized that Age didn't know that Afang was Dr. Zeng's daughter and the entanglement with Boss Li. He didn't feel funny: Should I tell Age about the incident that he accidentally eavesdropping on Dr. Zeng and Boss Li's conversation?

Considering other reasons, Shan Sihua did not tell Age about the eavesdropping on Boss Li and Dr. Zeng, and only talked about how he went to TKV to click Afang's station for the second time. Boss Li was bitten. Then when Boss Li was leaving, he revealed that Afang was Dr. Zeng's daughter and asked him to pay more attention. If he found out that Afang would report to him immediately, he would tell Age easily.

After listening to Shan Sihua's almost fantasy narrative, Age couldn't believe his ears. He couldn't help but ask: "What did you say just now? You said the girl Boss Li wanted to be Dr. Zeng's daughter. Did Boss Li tell you in person?"

"Yes, it was Boss Li who told me quietly upstairs and asked me to notify him immediately once I find A Fang appears here." Shan Sihua replied truthfully.

"You have confused me. If that Afang is Dr. Zeng's daughter, why did Boss Li try every means to get her? And that Doctor Zeng, don't he know Boss Li's intention? He actually helped Boss Li find his former wife and ask Boss Li about his whereabouts. Isn't this sending his daughter into the tiger's mouth?"

"I can't figure it out." Shan Sihua followed and said, "It's said that tigers are poisonous and don't eat any children. Not only does Dr. Zeng not only does not protect his daughter, but also helps others deliver his daughter to the door. It's the first time I heard of such a father in the world."

"This question is indeed a bit strange. Although southerners have a strong sense of favoring boys over girls, they will not send their daughters here and there irresponsibly." Age also agreed with Shan Sihua's opinion this time and then added.

Allowing the two of them to rack their brains, they are still puzzled by the triangle relationship between the father and daughter of the Zeng family and Boss Li.
