Chapter 56 Extra Story: The Adventures of Teenagers 9 Tracking
Roger knew about the "Free Village", and his father told him:
After capturing Syracuse, my father led his fleet to the south to capture the island of Malta. There were Christians captured by Arabs as slaves on the island, and my father saved them.
After returning to Sicily, some families had family members, and their father gave them the travel expenses to go back by themselves.
Some families were destroyed and there was no place to go, so my father found a place in the south of Sicily and built a village for them to settle. The village was called "Verafranca", which means "free village".
The bandits also told them that their boss hated the Arabs and would sell them to the sulfur mine in the south as long as they were caught. The supervisor of the mine was a Jew. Regardless of the origin, he would buy it as a slave for mining.
Roger thought that he didn't know which jazz territory it was, but he dared to buy people as slaves without asking about his origin. The Arabs who were plundered by bandits were also my people. When he returned to Palermo, he had to check it out carefully.
The bandits also told me that they accidentally got news that all the Arabs in this village could fight were gone, leaving only the old and the weak, so their boss planned the attack.
They captured all the people they could take and prepared to take them all the way south to the mine.
Roger asked how many accomplices the bandits had, why he was arrested.
The bandits stammered and couldn't answer, but they just said that there were quite a few accomplices, and he didn't know how much they were, and he didn't know how many.
He said that he and a few of his accomplices were too greedy. After the large army left, they wanted to find valuable things here, but Moji did not leave.
Unexpectedly, a few soldiers suddenly came back. They fought each other when they saw that there were fewer people. Later, they saw that many more people came, and his accomplices walked away. He wanted to escape, but they didn't get away.
Roger asked in detail several times, and confirmed that he would not be wrong, so he told Amyra.
Amyra then pulled out her knife and she shouted, "Warriors, follow me to save my compatriots!"
She cut off the bandit's neck with a knife and waved the bloody knife to urge everyone to set off.
She said to Roger: "Come on!"
Roger was anxious and shouted at her: "You promised me!"
"Let's talk about it when I save my brother!"
Roger also wanted to argue, and Assad stared at him fiercely. He could only get on the horse with a disheartened urge to follow the soldiers out of the village unwillingly.
Soon after going south, the soldiers found their footprints, and Amyra ordered to speed up and try to catch up with each other before nightfall.
But as he walked, an old soldier familiar with the terrain questioned: "This is turning east."
But there were still footprints on the ground, Amyra urged to chase him quickly, so a group of people rushed to chase him with torches when they entered the night.
As they chased after the footprints on the ground disappeared, they looked up and looked at the darkness. The soldiers walked blindly for another period, and finally confirmed that they had been fooled.
It was already late at night, and Amyra was helpless and had no choice but to order a rest on the spot.
The next day, the soldiers followed the way and searched each fork carefully. It took a lot of effort to determine the real where the bandits were going from some broken grass stems and scratched moss.
This time they dare not chase after them, so they searched for a while.
Roger also witnessed a battle between tracking and counter-tracking.
There are obviously experts in the bandits who are good at hiding traces. Fortunately, there are also capable people among the soldiers. Finally, they are not chased, but the chasing speed is not fast.
According to the old warrior who is familiar with the terrain, he is indeed going all the way south.
However, Roger had been dizzy for a long time. He had no idea where Nan was, so he just followed the team.
He kept complaining in his heart: Amyra, Amyra, look at the good things you did, just to make it easy for a moment to kill the captured bandit. If he had kept his life, there would be someone to lead the way now, so why is this? He is such a short-sighted person.
He thought again, after hearing the bandit's confession, the village was attacked because all the soldiers were taken away.
And this time, Amyra brought all the soldiers with her.
Roger thought, this is really a person who only looks at the present and does not care about the future. He has no idea of planning ahead and has made the same mistakes repeatedly.
He thought that no one in the warriors reminded him of such an obvious mistake. It seems that under the continuous suppression of his father and mother, this resistance organization is no longer in the mood.
On the afternoon of the fourth day, Amyra and her gang finally found the target.
This was a deserted valley. Roger barely recognized some traces of the fields, but the ground was covered with weeds, which obviously had been wasted a lot of time.
On a small raised mound in the valley, there is a village surrounded by wooden walls. The base of the wooden wall is full of moss and vines are everywhere on the walls.
Roger judged that these bandits either neglected management or just passed by and lived here temporarily.
His little ears heard the noise in the village, and he didn't know what these bandits were busy with. He guessed that he was preparing supper.
The soldiers yelled, some saying, "We rushed up and killed them and caught them off guard and avenged the dead brothers."
Some said, "This is uphill and overturning the wall, which is not easy to fight. And my children are still in their hands, how can I fight?"
Some say: "The Arab warriors wasted in the battle with the bandits, and it was not worth it."
Roger then knew that most of the angry minds of the soldiers had calmed down during the pursuit of these days.
Amyra's eyes were full of hesitation.
Roger speculated that she was worried about her brother, otherwise she would have ordered a charge without hesitation.
Finally, Amyra said, "Go ahead and don't let them run away."
So the soldiers rushed over.
It was not until they rushed to the gate of this mountain village that they reacted. The bandits yelled to climb up the arrow tower and climbed the door stairs.
Roger sighed inwardly, he missed the opportunity, but he didn't care.
He saw that most of the bandits who had emerged had no armor.
A few of them are probably small leaders, equipped with shoddy protective gear.
Some of them seem to be soldier's standard armor, but I don't know where they robbed them or they were deserters themselves.
There was a bandit who thought he was superb archery. Roger randomly guessed that he was probably William, and he meowed the Arab soldiers and shot an arrow above his head.
The arrow drew an arc and stuck it on the ground in the middle, and was ridiculed by the soldiers.
Then, the two of them cursed each other through an arrow, as if they were talking to each other.
Roger was too lazy to translate. First, it had nothing to do with him, and second, it was just swear words, so you could understand them if you didn't understand them.
The impatient warrior rushed back several times, but he didn't even find the corner of the wall except for bringing back a few arrows on the shield.
The other party didn't come out, nor did he take hostages to threaten them, but just verbally abused them.
These bandits have many swear words, which are much more exciting than the Arabs scold them, and they are not repetitive. Roger feels very exciting when he hears it.
