Chapter 10 The Desperate Man

"Hurry, hurry up, Anri caravan is about to set off, guys, hurry up and move."

"Fresh fruits come from the top varieties of Lanma Forest. Gentlemen, ladies, hurry up if you want to buy them."

"It's okay to summon rangers or mercenaries, one gold coin a day for each person. If you are interested, sign up quickly."

"Master, do you need to hire a servant? I am very skilled and can do a lot of work."

Dada.

Hiss!

When the first ray of sunshine in the morning shone into the small western-style building, it was already noisy outside. Miral town completely woke up from its sleep. There were traffic on the road, and pedestrians were endless, and shouting sounds were heard one after another.

The nobles and merchants led their families to stroll after dinner in the cheerful morning. Generally, in the morning, there are more or less products from other places in the goods store. The nobles like to buy some, but they can't use them.

Most civilians are rushing to survive. They want to find new jobs to hire, and those with power will be relaxed. They will not miss any visits. For them, it is very important to establish a good relationship.

The guards of those towns are different. They are nominally maintaining public order, but there will be no conflicts in the Miral town all day long. They have boring time, either drinking and making jokes or looking for trouble.

During the day, the quietest thing is the tavern. There are three taverns in the town of Miral, which are far apart from each other and have their own fixed guests.

The closest to the Doggs family is called the goblin tavern. No one understands why the boss gave it such a name, but its business is pretty good, and usually at night, it is full.

Crunch!

Almost no one would open the tavern door in the morning, but today seemed different. A slightly depressed figure walked into the goblin tavern with heavy steps.

This is a strong middle-aged man with a gaze, but his face looks a little old. He has a white beard about half a foot long at the bottom and has some sloping feet when walking.

He was in a dusty state, and it was obvious that he had been traveling a long way, and his old clothes were covered with a rusty soft armor.

A black knight sword was placed on a stool by him, and blood could be seen vaguely on the sword. He sat blankly, his eyes never leaving the wooden table in front of him.

"Friends who come from afar are not a good time to drink now."

In the slightly dim counter, a beautiful woman was facing away from the man. Her ears were covered with thick brown hair. Her elegant eyes were as pure as water, her nose was very distinctive, and her mouth was as small as cherries.

Wearing a white long skirt, she outlined a graceful and light figure. There were small red dots on the skirt, and a circle of lace on the hem. She was holding a wet wipe in her hand.

"I won't drink, give me some food." This was a slightly old and cold voice.

"Only the bun, wheat cake, milk, or?" the woman asked simply without stopping her busy work.

"Take it." The middle-aged man looked a little disappointed.

"Okay, please wait." After the woman said that, she left the counter and walked towards the inner room.

After a while, she walked out again, holding a wooden plate in her hand, with a glass of milk, two pieces of bread, and a few egg-sized wheat cakes.

The middle-aged man was eating food silently, and he seemed very careful. The woman held her head with one hand and watched quietly, with the corners of her mouth involuntarily curved.

"Are you a knight?"

The woman accidentally saw half of the medal exposed in the man's chest and couldn't help asking curiously.

The middle-aged man just picked up the milk and heard the woman's words, he stopped and stuffed the medal he exposed into the soft armor again.

"You don't seem to be a human being, you don't have that kind of ear that appears on human beings."

"Yes, sir."

The woman smiled, quickly sorted out her hair and covered her ears again. Before she knew it, she became very interested in this mysterious down-and-out knight.

"Then I would like to advise you to be less curious, because that will kill people."

Bang!

"Thank you for your hospitality." The middle-aged man stood up and left the seat. He threw down two silver coins, then left with the knight's sword.

"You have given too many guests."

The woman who reacted, chased her out, but found that the man had lost his trace.

"What a strange person."

In the small western-style building, on the oval dining table covered with white cloth, Doggs and Rock were sitting face to face, with a glass of red wine in front of them, Yag stood quietly aside, and Philee was working in the kitchen with the maid.

In the morning, the most surprising thing about Rock was Martha's attitude, and there was a 180-degree change. It seemed that Doggs' explanation work was done well last night.

"You are so lucky. Martha has never been as enthusiastic as she is today, even to me." Doggs said in a jealous tone. It seemed that he was not relaxed last night.

"Maybe my sincerity touched her. I am looking forward to my madam's craftsmanship."

"Then let's have some bar before that."

Doggs smiled and raised his glass, Rock agreed happily, and the two of them touched the glasses through the air.

"Ahem."

After drinking a sip of red wine, Rock almost choked and his face changed drastically.

"It seems that you have never drunk alcohol. Wine is a man's romance. Besides, this is not a strong wine, so you are too different." Doggs looked sarcastic.

"Doggs takes out the spirits and I'll drink them with you." Yag, who was standing beside him, couldn't help but invite the battle angrily.

"Okay, but it's not now. Tonight, I'll take you to the goblin tavern for a drink. The boss there is a tempting little goblin." Doggs took it without caring.

"Ahem."

"Well."

Rock, who had no words, tried hard to drink all the red wine in the glass, and his face instantly improved.

"It's not bad, take it slowly, sooner or later you will fall in love with it." Doggs praised.

After a while, Martha walked out of the kitchen. She was wearing an apron and a bright smile on her face, and she was full of charm. She was a beautiful blonde with a medium figure, but she showed her full charm.

"Mr. Rock, please enjoy it. I don't know if the breakfast I made for you is in line with your appetite." Martha said very politely.

"Ah, madam, you are so polite. This is my honor." Rock hurriedly stood up and thanked.

At this time, Philey and the maid had already put the food on the plate.

"Then I won't disturb you in the meal."

Martha came and went quickly. She walked upstairs happily, as if she wanted to re-dress, while Philey and the maid were pouring wine for Doggs and Rock.

The breakfast ended in a pleasant atmosphere. Doggs picked up the napkin and wiped the corners of his mouth, and asked curiously: "So what are you going to do today, Mr. Rock?"

"The weather is so good, the sun is shining, I want to walk around, where are you."

"I'm not as leisurely as you. I'm so busy today to let you live in the sun. But it's really good that you're wasting time like this, Master Rock." Doggs put down his napkin, and his face looked a little dissatisfied.

"It's pretty good. I want to test where their bottom line is. Is it really lawless?" Rock looked at Doggs calmly and said seriously.

"It's a good idea. With your bait, you will know the result soon. I wish you all the best."

"Friends, let's forget about blessings. Give me some gold coins. I don't have half a copper plate on me."

"Ahem."
