Chapter 8 The wicked complain first

After getting rid of the female ghost, Yun Mo became more and more curious about how Lai Laifu provoked this female ghost.

The other party actually hated him so much. After driving for a while, we finally arrived at Lai Laifu's hometown.

It was already ten o'clock in the evening, and only a few houses in the village still had lights on. Lai Laifu took Yun Mo to his home in the east of the village.

Maybe I haven't been back for a while. There is a layer of dust on the table inside the house, and the furniture is also a bit old.

"I haven't been back since usual. It's a bit dirty. Please take a seat." Lai Laifu said and took a towel to wipe Yun Mo's chair clean.

"Where did you go back last time? Take me there quickly." Yun Mo did not sit down, but wanted to investigate what was going on as soon as possible.

"But..." When Lai Laifu heard that Yun Mo wanted to go and have a look, he hesitated for a moment. The female ghost wanted to kill her on the road just now. If he went out again now, he might meet her.

He didn't know how strong Yun Mo was, because he had only been exposed to Taoist monks and had never been exposed to things like ghosts.

"This matter should be done sooner rather than later. That female ghost has already set her sights on you. She might kill you in the next moment." Yun Mo frowned slightly. He saw Lai Laifu's hesitation and weighing. It seemed that he still had

There's something I haven't told myself.

"You don't have to be afraid. I'm a ghost, so I can naturally deal with her." Yun Mo comforted him. Lai Laifu seemed to have made up his mind and agreed to take Yun Mo to have a look.

As soon as they stepped out of the house, gusts of wind blew outside, the bright moon in the sky was covered by dark clouds, and the whole village fell into a heart-stopping silence.

Generally speaking, as long as it is not winter, there will be the sound of insects in the countryside no matter what, but the current silence makes people feel very uncomfortable.

"Sir, look!" Lai Laifu pointed to the roadside and shouted. Yunmo looked and saw a woman in red standing on the roadside with her head lowered.

And the direction she faced was Lai Laifu's home.

"Why did she come after her?" Yun Mo was also a little anxious, and quickly took out the talisman and stuck it on Lai Laifu's forehead. Lai Laifu's eyes, which were originally trembling, became vacant and blank.

Yun Mo pulled Lai Laifu and ran past, paying no attention to the female ghost. As he ran, Yun Mo heard whining sounds and even footsteps coming from behind him.

Yun Mo didn't dare to relax and ran in the direction Lai Laifu had given him before. Soon he ran to an empty wasteland.

He took off the talisman on Lai Laifu's forehead. Lai Laifu saw the woman in red following him and suddenly collapsed on the ground.

Yun Mo just put the talisman on him just to prevent this situation. If he becomes weak, no one will be able to support him.

When Yun Mo saw the female ghost running towards her, he took a deep breath and took out the talisman to prepare himself.

But I didn't expect that when the female ghost was still three or four meters away from Yun Mo, she knelt on the ground with a plop, kowtowed, and whined something in her mouth.

Yun Mo suddenly didn't know what to do. What was going on with this female ghost kneeling down to him?

But the next second, the female ghost disappeared. Yun Mo felt that this matter was a bit strange.

Lai Laifu definitely had something to hide from him, but he didn't know it, and he didn't want to tell him, so he had to investigate it himself.

When he woke up Lai Laifu, who had fainted, he saw that the female ghost had disappeared. He thought that Yun Mo had driven her away, so he quickly knelt on the ground and kowtowed.

"Sir, please, help me, you saw this female ghost has been following me and wants my life," Lai Laifu cried while kowtowing.

Yun Mo nodded to show that he had given up on him, and helped him to the place where the accident happened. The place was covered with lush grass and there was nothing except a few peach trees.

"What did you do here last time? There's nothing here." Yun Mo asked Lai Laifu in a subtle way.

"Last time I came here to look for herbal medicine for my two sons. The old Chinese medicine doctor said that my two sons' diseases can only be cured by a kind of herbal medicine grown here, so I came here to take a look. Who knew I could bring such a thing back?

"Lai Laifu said and couldn't help but shed tears again.

To be honest, no matter who encounters this kind of thing, they will regret it.

Yun Mo took a look at the surrounding terrain and found that it was in a low-lying area where evil spirits could easily accumulate.

The peach trees here have resolved these evil spirits. It seems that the people who planted the peach trees here were not simple.

Yun Mo checked the soil carefully and found no new soil, which meant that no digging had been done here. So where did this female ghost come from?

Without bones or graves, it is impossible for a female ghost to wander around the world for so long without being caught by capable experts.

Taking Lai Laifu back to his house, Yun Mo closed his eyes to rest. He didn't dare to sleep too heavily and stayed up until dawn. While Lai Laifu hadn't woken up, he decided to go to the village to have a look.

Coincidentally, as soon as he went out, he saw his neighbor not far away coming out to pour face wash, so Yunmo went up to talk to him.

After saying a few words, Yunmo brought the topic to Lai Laifu.

"You mean that scoundrel? He wasn't a good guy when he was young." The neighbor said and looked Yun Mo up and down, but seeing that Yun Mo had an upright figure and didn't look like a bad guy, he continued talking to him.

"When he was young, he was idle all day long, and he wasn't very good-looking. Everyone in the village hated him. He even harmed a girl from a neighboring village. After marrying someone, he gave birth to a girl.

He was driven crazy and died within a few months." The neighbor said and shook his head. This sentence surprised Yun Mo.

Didn't Lai Laifu say that he only had one wife? Why did people in the village say that he had married another one, and it seemed that he had not married her through legitimate means.

When Yun Mo was about to ask, the other party kept silent, as if this matter was a taboo in the village.

However, he gave Yunmo the address of the girl's home. Yunmo didn't wake up Lai Laifu and drove to a neighboring village alone.

In fact, the two villages are not far from each other. It didn't take long for them to arrive. Yunmo inquired at the entrance of the village and finally found the girl's home.

There were some weeds growing in the yard, and the wooden door was very old and seemed to collapse at any time. There was a gray-haired old man sitting in the yard, looking at the chickens in the yard with dull eyes.

"Is this Yingzi's home?" Yun Mo knocked on the door. He was a little worried that he had broken the door.

"Yingzi? She has been dead for many years?" The old man glanced at Yunmo with his cloudy eyes, and then lowered his eyelids to look at the chicken. He gave people the feeling of being in his twilight years.

"I want to know how she died." Yun Mo squatted next to the old man.

The old man did not look at him, but remained silent.

"You can go away. Yingzi died unjustly, and no one can help." The old man sighed. It seemed that Yunmo was not the only one to ask.

"You don't have long to live," Yun Mo sighed. Seeing the old man's appearance, he roughly guessed what was going on.

The so-called knowing destiny at fifty means that this old man is more than seventy years old and knows what will happen to him, so he has opened his eyes to many things. In this world, except for ghosts who can know their own life span, they are themselves.

"Did you see it?" The old man smiled, because he also saw Yun Mo's ghost costume, maybe he was here to pick him up. "Didn't you also see it? Tell me, and I will help Yingzi redress his injustice."

Yun Mo took a deep breath, and the old man slowly spoke about the incident.

Yingzi was his daughter. At that time, she had been playing with a boy from Lai Laifu's village since they were young. The two families had no conflicts and discussed getting married when they grew up.

Unexpectedly, the boy went to another place to study at university, and Yingzi did not go with him because her mother was ill and about to die.

Yingzi is very filial to her parents, and she is very beautiful. Everyone is very kind to her.

Perhaps because she often went to neighboring villages, she was targeted by Lai Laifu.

Lai Laifu was not a serious person at first and often wandered around the village. He became evil after seeing Yingzi.

One night when it was dark, Yingzi went out to relieve herself and defiled her.

This matter was known to people in the two villages. The boy's family was determined not to have any contact between Yingzi and the boy. What made them most desperate was that Yingzi was pregnant.

There was no other way, Yingzi's parents had no choice but to let Lai Laifu marry Yingzi.

After Lai Laifu married Yingzi, not only did he not treat her well, he often punched and kicked Yingzi.

After Yingzi gave birth to a daughter, the whole family treated her even worse, and sometimes even insulted her on a daily basis.

But Yingzi endured all these things. She wanted to take the child with her when he was older.

Unexpectedly, Lai Laifu disliked Yingzi for giving birth to a daughter, and actually asked his mother to take the child out secretly and drown her.

From then on, Yingzi became crazy. Lai Laifu was worried about being embarrassed, so he locked up Yingzi.

There were only two old people in Yingzi's house, and Lai Laifu was not polite to them. He tried to pick Yingzi back several times, but Lai Laifu beat him back every time.

In the end, Yingzi died. Before she died, she said that she would go to the King of Hell to complain and accuse this family of things that were worse than beasts.

There is a folk legend that if a person is dissatisfied while alive, he can complain to the King of Hell.

Lai Laifu was also very frightened, so he stuffed a handful of chaff into Yingzi's mouth, sewed her mouth shut with needle and thread, and covered her face with hair so that she could not speak and her face was full of people.

They even tied her hands with rope so that she could not write.

Finally, she was dragged to the wasteland and buried.

In the first few years, there was no peace in Lai Laifu's family. Some poultry often died. Some people said that this was because Yingzi's soul could not express his grievances, and the king of hell would not accept him.

Lai Laifu was also afraid, so he hired an expert to plant a few peach trees on the wasteland. From then on, his family became peaceful, and Lai Laifu changed his temper and worked hard.

A few years later, Lai Laifu married another wife, who gave him three sons.

The old man doesn't know what happened after that. He has been regretting it all these years.

After hearing this, Yun Mo felt uncomfortable in her heart. Yingzi couldn't complain, and she didn't know how she managed to escape from the suppression. She wanted to take revenge, but she didn't expect that Lai Laifu complained first.

Yun Mo suppressed the anger in his heart, turned his head and looked at the old man again, and found that the vitality in the old man was draining away little by little.

"If you can help my daughter redress her grievance, I will work as a horse for you in the next life." After the old man finished speaking, he leaned against the wooden door and seemed to be asleep.

And Yun Mo felt a golden warmth flowing from the old man's body.

"Huh? Good thing." Before Yun Mo could feel it, the zombie in his body absorbed the warm current.
