Volume 1, The Unspeakable Absurdity Chapter 1, The Pig's Mouth(1/2)

Tiemin is a well-known filial son. His father is Zhou Zhiqiang, nicknamed Zhou Laozui. He is a master who insists on saving face and suffering.

In the 1980s, the two doors of the emergency room of the Steel Plant General Hospital were made of wooden frames with a large piece of glass inlaid on them and a latch inserted inside.

Three large characters were written in red paint on the door glass: Emergency Room.

Ironborn had never been to a place like this before, so he didn't know how he would feel standing here. Now that he was standing here and seeing the words "Emergency Room", the most obvious feeling he felt was that he wanted to pee in a hurry.

"You big bastard, if your father has a problem, I can't spare you." Aunt Zhou scolded him behind her.

This is Aunt Zhou's patent.

When she had nothing to do, she would sit in the building with her neighbors after dinner and chat about home affairs.

Within a few words, Aunt Zhou praised Tiemin for how sensible his eldest son was. Like a girl, he almost took over all the housework. From washing and calculating to cooking and cooking, Tiemin was definitely a master of housework.

Take good care of yourself.

She made it clear that she was advertising for Tiemen.

But when the critical moment came, she spoke as if she had taken gunpowder, saying "bang bang bang" in just a few words, which made people know what it meant to add fuel to the fire.

Today, her anger directly brought Tie Min's father to the hospital.

Hearing the sound of the door latch being pulled from the emergency room, Tiemin trembled nervously.

A female nurse came out with a folder and asked: "Who are Zhou Zhiqiang's family members?"

Before Tiemin could answer, Aunt Zhou answered quickly: "Me."

"What kind of relationship do you have with the patient?" The female nurse's attempt to prove her identity is completely redundant. Besides the patient's family members, who else could come here at night to get into trouble.

"Zhou Zhiqiang is my head." Aunt Zhou spoke so matter-of-factly. There was no such thing as lover or husband in her vocabulary.

It's polite enough to say that she's the head of the family. When she mentions Tie Min's father to others, she usually says: "My father." The most civilized way of saying it is: "We work at home."

In that era, uneducated railway housewives basically said this.

"Hurry up and sign here." The female nurse first handed the pen to Aunt Zhou, then sent the folder to her and said: "Write your name in this position."

Aunt Zhou is so down-to-earth. When someone gives her a pen, she dares to take it and ask her to sign on it. She also pretends to sign before signing.

It wasn't until the pen in her hand was pressed against the binder that she remembered that she couldn't write, so she gave the pen to the Ironborn.

Ironborn was still calm enough to ask first: "What is this signature?"

"Notification of critical illness." The female nurse's voice was not loud, but she spoke quickly. It was clear that she was very anxious.

Aunt Zhou's reaction was faster than the female nurse's speech. Her legs softened, and with a "squeak" sound, she lay down in Tie Min's arms.

Tiemin held her up and shouted to Shengzi behind him: "Come and help mom."

Tiemin's younger brother Zhou Tiesheng is really a bastard.

At this juncture, he just couldn't help Aunt Zhou. Instead, he jumped up in the air, kicked Tie Min on the butt, and cried and cursed: "You're such a coward, you've pissed dad off to death."

The son usually likes to eat his father's little things secretly, but he has a body that can't get fat without eating. His hard feet are stuck on the ironborn's buttocks, almost kicking the ironborn.

Fortunately, the female nurse stopped him and Tiemen didn't kneel on the ground.

Tiemin placed Aunt Zhou on a wooden bench nearby. He didn't care about having a baby. He begged the nurse and said, "Please, please save my father."

"Your father has an acute cerebral hemorrhage. We have already given him medication. We just need to observe him for a period of time before we can decide whether to perform a craniotomy." The words of the female nurse made Tiemin's head buzz.

Since you said observation was needed, why did you ask the family members to sign a critical illness notice?

How did Ironborn know that the female nurse was doing her usual routine?

For emergency patients with unstable conditions like Zhou Zhiqiang, they must first issue a critical illness notification to the patient's family members to guard against sudden changes in the patient's condition and an accident. They need to bear the responsibility for not notifying the family members in time.

With trembling hands, Tiemin signed his name on the critical illness notice. The female nurse reminded him that after his name, he wrote a note about his relationship with the patient.

It's ridiculous to say that Tiemin was so confused at the time that he actually wrote the word husband and wife after his name.

Legend has it that the doctors and nurses in the hospital's emergency room are very shrewd and deal with patients' families, paying close attention to every detail. They are afraid of losing money in lawsuits in the future, but the female nurse did not discover this disclosure.

Shengzi completed his first attack on the ironborn in his life.

When he saw the female nurse returning to the emergency room, he became frightened. He ran to Aunt Zhou, held her hand, and cried, "Mom, what will our family do if dad is gone?"

According to Aunt Zhou's temperament, she would definitely burst into tears, but this time something unexpected happened.

There were tears in the corners of Aunt Zhou's eyes. She wiped away the tears of her newborn son first, without looking directly at Tiemin, and said, "Tiemin, you are the eldest son of the family. You can decide what happens next."

Aunt Zhou is used to eating food and not wearing clothes at home. Faced with this kind of emergency, she can only count on the Ironborn.

The truck that brought Zhou Zhiqiang to the hospital has returned to the town.

Tiemin could only run all the way back to his home in a small town more than thirty miles away from the hospital to collect his bankbook in preparation for going to the bank to withdraw money and pay the rescue fee at dawn tomorrow.

Tie Min ran home, found his bankbook, and then got on his bicycle. When he returned to the emergency room of the hospital, it was already dawn, and Aunt Zhou and Shengzi were gone.

It's broken, could it be dad...

Tiemin held his bankbook in his hand and stood at the door of the emergency room, grinning widely and crying.

Don't say anything, he made dad mad.

Tiemin cried all the way to the morgue and woke up the man who was guarding the hospital gate.

With a confused look on his face, he asked Ironborn: "Why are you so crazy? You're screaming so early in the morning that you won't let anyone sleep."

"I'm going to the mortuary to find my father." Tiemin said from the bottom of his heart, mourning his father with tears. Unexpectedly, the old man guarding the door became furious.

"Are you crazy!" The old man also had a bad temper. He shouted to Tiemin at the top of his lungs: "The key to the mortuary is in my hand. What is your father doing there?"

Tiemin really wanted to say something back to him: Please go drink and chat.

What kind of place is a mortuary? No living person would want to go there. He suspected that this old man was sleeping in a rough place.

Shengzi, who was sleeping on the bench at the door, was awakened by the conversation between Tiemin and the uncle. He rubbed his eyes and walked over and said, "Mom asked me to wait for you here. Dad has been transferred to the ward."

Tiemin kicked him in the buttocks and he jumped so hard that he even walked with his legs crossed. He was so stunned that he didn't dare to say no to Tiemin.

If he had known that in a few years, his son would become the first upstart to drive a private car in the small town's railway area, the Ironborn would probably not have dared to do such a thing to him.

Tiemin graduated from junior high school with the worst performance in Chinese. At this moment, he suddenly thought of an idiom: extreme happiness leads to sadness.

It was supposed to be a night of joy for the whole family, but he asked his father to take a walk around the Gate of Hell.

Thanks to the Lord of Hell, he didn't take notice of the stubborn Zhou Zhiqiang and turned him away. Otherwise, Tiemin would probably have to bear the reputation of being a cheating father for the rest of his life.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say the cause of the incident.

Tiemin took a fancy to a girl and secretly dated her for two years. He was accidentally discovered by Zhou Tiesheng, a little spy of the Zhou family.

At first, the ironborn gave the child a few scraps of meat and sausage heads from time to time, so that he would keep his mouth tightly shut.

Unexpectedly, this kid was so greedy that he actually stuffed a whole piece of pig head meat into his mouth. That was Zhou Zhiqiang's favorite part of the pig.

Shengzi was kicked in the ribs by Tiemin, so he limped to fight with him, and secretly reported to Aunt Zhou that Tiemin was cheating on him outside.

In the railway families of that era, young people of the right age basically relied on the advice of matchmakers to find a partner. There were very few people who dared to find a partner in private.

Under normal circumstances, the introducer must first obtain the consent of the parents, and the other person's work, appearance, and family conditions must be satisfactory before the child can wear the best clothes to meet the target. Whether it succeeds or not is another matter, as far as this procedure is concerned,

Was disrupted by Ironborn at Zhou's house.

There was a saying at that time: The older one wears shoes, and the younger ones do the same. It means that if the eldest brother in the family behaves, the younger brothers and sisters will follow suit.

Sure enough, when Shengzi fell in love with his younger sister Yanzi, he ignored Zhou Zhiqiang's objection at all, and the reason was very good: My brother was dating someone in the first place, why didn't you care.

One sentence left Zhou Laozui speechless.

When Aunt Zhou heard the news, her reaction was quite strong, as if Tiemin was playing gangster outside.

She gritted her teeth and stamped her feet and said, "If you don't learn well, it's up to your father to deal with you."

Aunt Zhou works at a scrap collection station. She walks around the streets all day collecting junk. The most taxing thing every day is her mouth. She has to mutter and spit at everyone she sees, just to be able to argue over three and a half cents.

Fan.

Aunt Zhou's worthless mouth met with Tie Min's uneducated son, and the consequences can be imagined.

Tiemin was off work that day, so he made fried rice noodles with cabbage and potato sticks for dinner, and simmered a pot of dry sorghum rice. He also mixed in a big bowl of snow red pickles, which are great for rice.

Ironborn also prepared food and drinks for Dad.

A plate of fried peanuts mixed with sugar, and a plate of braised pork. The only relatively complete piece of pig was eaten by the child.

He has been cunning since he was a child. He was afraid of being beaten again, so he got a stick from nowhere and imitated the appearance of a wounded soldier in the movie. He limped and acted like a prelude to being beaten by the Ironborn.

Tiemin placed the hot wine flask in front of his father, and poured a cup of Laobaigan specially for him.

Zhou Zhiqiang picked up the wine cup, but without drinking, he tortured the son and said, "Where did you go to have fun again? Who did you let him get kicked and lame?"

"My brother." He gave birth to a child and did not become an actor. He really failed in his material. As he spoke, tears fell one by one.

Zhou Zhiqiang took a sip of wine and didn't look at Tiemin at all. This is a habit shared by Tiemin's parents. There is an idiom called "Hit the east and attack the west".

Zhou Zhiqiang first picked up a piece of meat and put it into the bowl of his youngest daughter Yanzi. Yanzi was his favorite, and his two brothers did not receive such treatment.

Zhou Zhiqiang grabbed a few more peanuts, threw them into his mouth and said, "As the old saying goes, the eldest brother is the father when the parents are away. No matter why your brother beats you, he must have his own reasons, so just accept it."

This is Zhou Zhiqiang. Whenever he gives birth to a child, he gives Tiemin enough face.
