Chapter 2 Opening

What would you do if you only had one minute left to live?

Looking at the second hand that had turned to the last circle, Su Mu suddenly had such an idea.

She didn't intuitively feel that this was a countdown to life or anything like that, but now that she was looking at the clock that turned to the last minute, she was a little nervous and couldn't help but start to have random thoughts.

But before she could figure out what she was going to do, the pointer reached the end.

Immediately afterwards, a dazzling white light emitted from the core of the dial, and in the blink of an eye it spread into a huge cocoon of light, enveloping Sumu's entire body.

When she opened her eyes again, she no longer saw a familiar room in front of her, but a completely unfamiliar place.

Su Mu looked around.

This is a stage theater-style place, with wooden floors, closed curtains, and a huge auditorium. After a quick look around, everything looks no different from an ordinary theater in the real world.

She took out her cell phone from her pocket.

Unexpectedly no signal.

Immediately afterwards, Su Mu turned on the camera and pressed the button to take pictures of the theater.

The photo that came out showed only a dark patch.

Recalling the investigation report on Su Xiang that she had seen not long ago, Su Mu thoughtfully put the phone back into his pocket.

"Welcome to the Theater of the Absurd, our lovely reserve members." The hoarse voice came from far to near.

"First advice from a leader, you'd better keep your hands to yourself."

A short clown walked over with his hands behind his back.

Su Mu could swear that this was definitely the weirdest clown she had ever seen.

Can you imagine a hunchbacked little old man less than one meter tall walking towards you wearing clown makeup?

Su Mu's visual inspection revealed that the clown's height might not even be as long as her legs.

This still straightened his big hunchback.

"You seem to be thinking about something very rude." As if he sensed something, the smile on the clown's face faded, and he suddenly became a bit cold.

Su Mu was right and looked back calmly, "It's just a math problem."

Comparing the clown's net height and her leg length, which number is larger? This is a standard size comparison question.

The clown, who heard what she was thinking with the authority of the guide, visibly trembled on his face.

Damn math problem!

For the first time, he felt that his authority to sense the psychological state of newcomers in the novice theater was a bit redundant. The clown readjusted his expression and tried to get the rhythm back on track.

"You must be wondering why you are here, right?"

Su Mu said seriously: "Because I am the chosen child and will be responsible for saving the world?"

The clown ignored her.

"Because you were chosen by this theater of the absurd."

He stretched out his short index finger and pointed downward.

"You will become an actor here, playing another life form in the various weird and bizarre backgrounds provided by the theater, and then complete the scripts and tasks assigned to you by the theater."

He spoke very fast and did not give Su Mu time to ask questions.

"After the performance, the theater will have a special evaluation agency to rate the surviving members."

alive?

Catching a certain key word, Su Mu raised his eyebrows.

Noticing her micro-expression, the clown added maliciously, "This theater does not restrict any bloody violence, does not provide substitutes, does not engage in fake actions, and ensures that any dangerous scenes will be presented authentically."

It split its blood-red thick lips, "For the sake of artistic continuity, there will be no rescue operations during the performance. Even if a participant unfortunately dies, our theater will only be responsible for recycling garbage."

Su Mu, who was intimidated, took off the watch on his wrist and said, "I have a question. Do you always choose people with such force?"

The clown, who felt that he had successfully reversed the situation, happily explained, "Generally speaking, people are not so powerful, but you are an exception."

He didn't say what kind of exception it was, and involved Su Mu, who didn't see the dialog box or click Yes, he just opened his mouth viciously and stared at her with a pair of turbid eyes full of malice.

There was a clear meaning in those eyes:

It's all your fault!

"Really?" Su Mu smiled vaguely, weighed the valuable watch in his hand, and then threw it away with a wave of his hand.

The watch drew a silver-white arc in the air, and then hit the closed curtain accurately.

The moment it came close, a milky white light curtain blocked it.

Faced with the clown's suddenly dull expression, Su Mu shrugged.

"Sorry, I don't like listening to novice instructions, so I want to try and see if I can click skip."

She curled her lips and smiled, and two hints of unruliness hidden deep in her soul appeared on her beautiful face.

"But you are so capable, I thought you were very capable, but it turns out it is nothing more than that."

After saying that, a ray of white light flashed across Su Mu's body.

Just like the previous teleported scene, the white light gradually spread and turned into a cocoon of light, wrapping her in it.

interesting.

The clown's chest continued to rise and fall as he regained consciousness.

He hasn't seen such an interesting new person for a long time.

Whether it was her outstanding talent in psychic abilities or her arrogant soul beneath her calm exterior, it all made him feel trembling with excitement.

He kind of wanted to see her survive.

“Remember, only participants who provide a high enough absurdity value can become the ones the theater likes.”

"Of course," the clown's smile deepened, "if you can become the best one among all the participants, you will receive a special reward in addition to the salary."
