Chapter 4 Warning(1/2)

Tang Shu held the swing stick in one hand and dragged the suitcase with the other. Jiang Shuai's words and the evidence he produced left Tang Shu unable to refute, but she still felt it was a bit ridiculous. It sounded like something that would happen in a game movie.

But the fact is here, and she cannot choose to believe it or not.

Jiang Shuai turned on the flashlight and walked out first. It was dark outside. Tang Shu raised her head and found that the sky was like a huge cover. There were no clouds in sight, only gray. Tang Shu stared around for a while, firstly observing what was going on.

There was nothing strange. Secondly, she felt something was wrong with her eyes. Based on what Jiang Shuai said before, Tang Shu didn't think this was something that could be ignored. Maybe her eyes had also changed?

Liang Shuai turned around and shined a flashlight on Tang Shu.

"What are you doing standing around, let's go!"

Tang Shu quickly followed.

There was no sound outside, except for the friction of the suitcase rollers, and the faceless man Tang Shu met was nowhere to be seen. If she and Jiang Shuai evolved, then what were those monsters? Degeneration? Or a failure of evolution?

Or maybe it just changed the direction of evolution?

Now is not the time to think about these things. We have to find a safe place to talk. Tang Shu focused again on the movements around her.

The outside world gave Tang Shu the feeling of being in an oversized cage. There was no wind, no snow, no sound, no other people, and occasionally two ice crystals were scattered. The sky was gray, as if time had been frozen in a black and white silent movie, like

into the movies of the last century.

As she thought about it, Tang Shu couldn't help but get distracted again.

It wasn't until the sound of a car door horn that frightened Tang Shu that she realized that they had already reached the side of Jiang Shuai's car.

Nothing happened? Tang Shu blinked her eyes in disbelief.

Jiang Shuai opened the trunk of the car and greeted Tang Shu.

Tang Shu poked her beret before getting in the car and felt the spider inside move its legs.

Fortunately, okay, he's not dead yet. Tang Shu breathed a sigh of relief.

This may partially verify Jiang Shuai's theory of evolution. How can a normal Honduran curly spider survive at minus 40 degrees? This kind of tropical tarantula is in a sub-healthy state when the temperature drops to about 20 degrees.

Got it

Jiang Shuai was tinkering with something unknown in the front seat, while Tang Shu was busy pulling the wild cat back to him for the first time in a car. Feifei showed amazing calmness when he was riding in a car for the first time. Dark clouds and tortoiseshells climbed around curiously. Sanhua

Huddled in the corner of the back seat, looking a little scared, the general lay on Tang Shu's lap.

Tang Shu cleared out all the food and water and placed them in the passenger seat. The cat and dog food were placed in the trunk where they could be easily accessed by opening the seat back.

What Jiang Shuai was most worried about was that the temperature was too low and the car would not start. After two attempts, the car finally started with a dull roar, and both of them breathed a sigh of relief.

While the car was warming up, Jiang Shuai and Tang Shu discussed where to drive.

"You don't know the way out of the city?" Tang Shu stared at the driver's backrest, wishing that there would be a hole in it.

Jiang Shuai patted the steering wheel helplessly and said, "Now that we have GPS, who still remembers the directions? It's not like you don't know me."

Tang Shu held her forehead.

She hasn't had time to learn to drive yet. She takes the subway everywhere, so how can she remember the roads on the ground?

"Then you know the roads around here, right?" Tang Shu scratched the general's head, and the general was so comfortable on her lap that he purred.

"I remember a few streets around here, and a little further away I just remember a general direction." Jiang Shuai answered uncertainly.

Tang Shu thought for a moment and said, "That's enough. Let's walk along Jingnan Road, then turn to Zhongbei Road, and then walk towards Lianshan Road. There are many convenience stores and supermarkets on these two roads, so we can collect some supplies. And

, if there are other survivors, they should also choose to go to places where there are many supermarkets and convenience stores."

Jiang Shuai said something in his hometown dialect and started the car.

Tang Shu stared out the window. She always felt that she had overlooked something before.

What is it? Tang Shu thought vaguely.

There was a layer of mist on the car windows, and Jiang Shuai did not turn on the air conditioner to save fuel, but the body heat of the two people and several animals still gradually warmed up the entire car, and Tang Shu couldn't help but feel sleepy.

"Get some sleep. I'll call you when you get there." Jiang Shuai shouted from the front.

Tang Shu relaxed and slowly fell into a deep sleep.

Jiang Shuai saw that Tang Shu was asleep, so he acted like a good quiet driver and drove on the familiar road. He drove very slowly because he couldn't see the road ahead clearly with the high beam on, like

It's like foggy.

Tang Shu had a dream, and it was a hazy dream. The strange thing was that she was able to realize that she was dreaming.

There was a voyeur there, who had been sitting there for several days. She didn't know where she was. She was surrounded by white curtains. It seemed like she was on a stage, or maybe in a hospital.

There seemed to be many people around, pointing at her.

They were both in white, and she looked out of place in black.

Like a newborn baby, she curiously looked at the world around her. This shouldn't be a stage, after all, the stage had no windows. As long as she looked out the window, she could see the peeper sitting there, watching her from a distance.

He won't go either. Why call him a peeper? It sits there sloppily, incompatible with the cleanliness of the room.

"Defective."

She heard someone say.

"Defective."

Another voice.

She didn't know what they were talking about. She was sitting on a chair, or to be precise, she was tied to a chair. The chair was red, full of aggressive red, and it hurt her eyes to be pierced in the white.

This place is closed, with only windows connecting to another world.

Many, many people were pointing around, and the distances were sometimes far and sometimes near.

She didn't feel offended by being watched by a voyeur. Tang Shu even wanted to get close to him. She wanted to go outside.

"You want to leave the crowd, why?"

A pair of hands held down her body, which was about to move, and pinned her to the chair.

"Do you think this is destined? It's just a ridiculous fate."

"You shouldn't give up until everything comes."

Tang Shu subconsciously wanted to refute. But she soon realized that she had no idea what nonsense this person was talking about. This refutation was subconscious. Nothing in the dream was logical, so it was not so strange to think about it.

"Have you lost your self-awareness? You will be erased."

What do you mean? Tang Shu widened her eyes in confusion.

Hearing the words, the people outside the window suddenly walked in. Tang Shu stretched her neck and tried hard to see what it looked like, but she couldn't see it. The sunlight hurt Tang Shu's eyes.

"Are you going to escape?"

The man spoke, and Tang Shu knew what he was talking about, but she couldn't hear his voice clearly.

It must be the reason for the dream, Tang Shu thought. There is everything in the dream, but I can't understand anything in the dream.

"That is not your safe haven. The sharp blade you incarnate will hurt everything."

The person behind him seemed to be a machine, and his voice was concise and monotonous.

"If I shoot you, I will definitely get a curse from a poor ghost." The peeper's tone was full of joking and a bit cynical. Tang Shu found that she could not see the things in front of her more and more clearly, although they were originally blurry.

Clear.

"I lower my body and stand with people like you." The peeper continued, and Tang Shu felt it bend down, "This is my biggest concession."

Tang Shu tried hard to open her senses and listen to their conversation, but it was in vain. They seemed to be frozen and did not listen to Tang Shu's command.

Wait.

Tang Shu wanted to say.

But the scene in front of her gradually faded away, and Tang Shu felt like she was being pulled out by the back of her neck.

Are you about to wake up? Tang Shu thought.

But the dream did not wake up as promised.

Tang Shu passed through the layers of curtains and was pulled up into the air. Underneath was a cyberpunk-style building, full of ultra-modern virtual programs.

Tang Shu felt very scared, like a cat that was grabbed by the scruff of the neck, unable to do anything. But she didn't know what she was afraid of, and fear surged towards her like a tide.

Come and soak everything in an instant.

Her eardrums were filled with the sound of her heart beating violently, and the blood pressure rising caused the blood vessels around her temples to throb.

With every beat of her heart, the scene in front of her kept changing, with the city switching between red and blue streams of light and bloody lava-like red.

She was put down, and as soon as she hit the ground, she started running around. She ran around the city full of virtual atmosphere, hid in the dirty slums, and shuttled through the towering buildings.

The roar of heavy metal collisions exploded in her ears, reverberating with the sound of gears that drove the operation of the city. It resonated with her skull, as if it was about to burst her brain. Her pupils shrank, and the scene in front of her became slower and slower.

"Critical."

The metallic female voice sounded in every corner of the city, and seemed to echo in her body.

What's the meaning?

Tang Shu jumped up, rushed forward, and dodged, like a swimming fish sneaking in this virtual program-like world. Just barely dodging a crossbar thrown by the residents here, Tang Shu suddenly realized that here, people in the red world were attacking
