Chapter 7: A mess
The next day, Su Li got up a little late. She hurriedly finished washing and took her schoolbag out without breakfast.
As soon as I reached the waiting area, Bus No. 7 had closed and drove past her.
She had no choice but to wait for the next car.
There is no sun today and the wind is slightly cool. The sanitation workers who are cleaning the streets are bowing their heads and bent down to sweep the fallen leaves. The adults are holding their children's hands and walking across the road.
Su Li wore a long skirt today, which was very pure blue. The wind blew over and blew the hem of the skirt so that it fluttered and flew, reminding her of a butterfly I had seen in the picture book story. She had forgotten what the story it was told, and only remembered that the blue butterfly was so beautiful when it spread its wings.
After waiting for a while, Bus No. 7 finally arrived. Today's bus is not that crowded, perhaps it is related to the flight time and time.
She got into the car, and after putting in coins, she found a seat to sit down.
When she arrived at school, class was almost over. As soon as she sat down, the originally noisy classroom suddenly became silent.
Was that terrible female head teacher coming? Su Li looked up wonderingly, but saw that the female classmates looked at the door of the classroom with a look of dementia. She looked over curiously and saw tall and thin boys standing at the door, wearing a white T-shirt without any pattern, with hands hanging on one side and long fingers.
Su Li's eyes shifted from the boy's slender fingers to his face. He had a cold face, long eyelashes, high noses, clear edges and angular, and a faint loneliness all over his body, just like a beautiful young man from ancient times.
At this moment, he reached out and pinched his brows and walked away quickly.
Su Li saw a string of copper coin pendants hanging on his black schoolbag shaking gently with his steps.
It was him! The boy sleeping behind the flowers.
"It seems like I've gone to the wrong class. It would be great if it was from our class." A girl whispered.
"Shoulder and see which class he belongs to." Another girl responded.
The class bell rang at this time, and the students who were still trying to talk shut up.
The first class was Chinese class. Teacher Ma stood on the podium, and the audience suddenly became silent.
Su Li pressed her stomach with her hands, which was provoking protests, and began to regret not having breakfast in the morning.
"Continue to talk about yesterday's class." Teacher Ma opened the textbook and before he could continue to speak, Su Li's stomach started to scream.
The classmates around all looked at her in shock. Some of them already understood what was going on and couldn't help but lower their heads and smile.
Su Liming blushed and lowered her head and pretended to be taking notes seriously.
The teacher continued, "Yesterday, when it came to 'Independence Cold Autumn, Xiangjiang River Going North, Orange Island Head', the time, place and..." Speaking of this, Su Li's stomach started to "gurgle" again, and the sound was louder than before.
Teacher Ma stopped to look at her, and Su Li lowered her head even lowered.
"Independent Han Qiu..." Teacher Ma continued to speak, and Su Li's belly started to yell again, as if she had to shout with Teacher Ma.
Several students blushed but dared not laugh, while most of them looked like they were waiting to watch the show.
"This classmate, go outside and stand and don't disturb us." Teacher Ma's face looked ugly.
Su Li was stunned for a moment, still lowered her head, and was at a loss, sitting there without moving.
"Why don't you hurry up." Teacher Ma roared impatiently, with a loud voice. Not only did Su Li be scared, but many girls were frightened and looked frightened.
She was a little helpless and glanced at the closest deskmate. The other party was sleeping soundly and had no idea what had happened.
In fact, I can't count on him to help.
Su Li stood up and walked towards the door of the classroom under a gaze.
For the first time, she felt that the classroom door was so far away from her and she couldn't walk after walking for a long time. Her stomach started to gush with shameless face.
The classmate who was holding back the laughter finally laughed wildly, and Su Li's face suddenly turned red, and she wanted to find a pit to bury herself.
Teacher Ma slammed the table and shouted, "What are you laughing at?" Finally he returned to silence.
After Su Li left the classroom, she did not stand outside the classroom properly. She walked directly to the playground and squatted down under a lush tree.
She had never been "expressed" in public like this, and she felt a little wronged and embarrassed.
Is it her fault that her stomach makes a "gurgling" sound? She thought about it and thought it should be her fault. Who made her get up late and didn't have time to have breakfast?
It seems that I can't stay in bed anymore.
She leaned against the big tree and looked up at the top of the tree. Fragrant sunlight shone down from the gaps between the leaves, like holy light, light yellow and soft.
The neatly recited by the classmates in the distance came into her ears, and after listening for a long time, she felt drowsy.
I don’t know how long it took, but the bell rang for the end of get out of class. The students walked out of the classroom one after another, talking and laughing, full of vitality.
Su Li stood up and ran away as if she was walking towards the low wall in front, climbing over the wall and leaving the school.
Su Li didn't want to go home for the first time, but in this strange city, where else can she go besides home? She thought about it and then, but couldn't think of a place to go.
So he walked aimlessly and unknowingly towards the bluestone alley.
When I passed by the bun shop, I saw the woman squatting on the ground and washing a steamer. The little boy squatting beside her. He looked about five years old, chubby and cute. His little hands were holding a ball of dough. The dough was originally white, but now it has turned gray.
The woman washed the steamer and stood up. The boy raised the strange-shaped dough in his hand and shouted, "Look at Mom, Saint Seiya."
"Yeah, yeah, Saint Seiya." The woman was obviously perfunctory to him. She looked very tired, probably because of her daily life.
"Let me show it to my brother." The little boy said as he raised the dough high, ran into the shop and went up the stairs, shouting, "Brother, brother."
"Your brother hasn't finished school yet." The woman reminded, and the little boy walked down in frustration, "Mom, I'm going to school, too."
"You are still young, wait for next year." said the woman.
"When is the time for school for brother?" the little boy asked.
"It's almost done, you go and wash your hands, and then watch TV, and your brother will be back." The woman said while busy scrubbing the table.
The little boy washed his hands, wiped his clothes randomly, and ran upstairs.
Su Li stood there and looked at her. The woman probably felt her gaze. She looked up at her in confusion. She didn't know if she recognized her and smiled warmly to greet the guests, and said, "The buns are gone today."
It seems that her family's business has been much better, so she doesn't have to sell it until the evening.
"Yeah, OK." Su Li lowered her head and hurriedly walked over in front of her.
As I walked, I came to the alley and walked to the end of the alley with the moss. A breeze blew in from the entrance of the alley. The fragrance of flowers here was much stronger than yesterday. Perhaps more flowers were blooming.
Su Li thought about this and couldn't wait to get out quickly. She wanted to see the flowers faster.
However, when she arrived at the place that made her heart beat yesterday, she was stunned.
What appeared in front of her was a mess. The wooden barrel was slumped on the ground and cracked in half. The hollowed-out wooden stakes placed under the windowsill fell to the ground. The flowers inside were pulled up and the black roots were exposed in the air.
Only the flower pots hanging under the eaves were safe and sound, but they seemed very lonely.
What was going on? Su Li remembered the boy yesterday and thought to herself, "Did he do it?"
