Chapter 83 Midnight Tracking

The hazy dark red light illuminated every corner of the bar, and gentle music floated into my ears. Several men sat at the corner table, smoking cigarettes and large cans of beer in front of them.

The male waiter wearing a pomegranate red horse clip stood at the bar. The horse clip was covered with a white high-neck shirt, humming a small song in his mouth, wiping the countertop and wine glass neatly, and glanced at everyone walking in from the door.

Bai Letian stood at the door and looked in, waiting for his eyes to adapt to the dim light of the bar, and walked towards a table near the window.

The waiter saw a guest sitting down and jogged over with a tray in his hand, with beer, red wine and white wine on it, and a transparent wine glass in his hand.

The waiter looked at Bai Letian and bent down. The tray in his hand almost touched his nose, fearing that he would not be able to see clearly, with inquisitive eyes in his eyes.

Bai Letian saw that this was a young man about twenty years old, with fair skin, dark blue eyes, and a stud on his ears. He pointed at the beer and signaled him to pour a glass of beer, and then put a picture.

The banknotes are placed on the tray as tips.

The waiter poured a large glass of beer and gently placed it in front of Bai Letian. The beer foam squeezed together like a wave. He turned around and floated away, with a satisfied smile on his face, like a peach blossom in March.

Bai Letian picked up the wine glass, took a big sip, crossed his legs, leaned his head on the back of the chair, and his fingers hit the tabletop with the melody of the music.

About half an hour later, a tall figure walked in, wearing a rat-gray linen short round neck top, which was Paul. He quickly glanced over the bar like a night searchlight until he saw Bai Lotte's position.

Paul walked over and sat at the table in front of Bai Lotte, with his back facing Bai Lotte, stretched out his hand and snapped his fingers in the direction of the bar.

Facing inside, the waiter who was bartending heard the sound, turned around quickly, grabbed a large wine glass, walked over with a tray, with a hint of apology on his face.

Paul asked for a purple-red cocktail. He held the slender handle of the wine glass, placed the wine under his nose, sniffed it, then sniffed it lightly, and swallowed it slowly.

There were more and more people in the bar, and the lights were lighter. The music changed to a lighter pop song. Three young girls wearing exposed clothes and wearing heavy makeup stood on the stage in the distance, shaking their bodies gently with the music.

.

Just when Bai Lotte drank the beer, he found that a man with black curly hair had already sat on Paul's table, opposite Bai Lotte. Bai Lotte could only see Paul's head shaking...

He should be Grace!

This person is of medium figure, with thick black eyebrows and brown skin, wearing a blue striped shirt, and his eyes look around from time to time, as if he is alert to something.

Bai Letian saw that Grace had his hands on the table, leaned forward, listened carefully to Paul's speech, and his nose almost touched the red wine cup on the table.

Paul gestured with his hands as he spoke, his voice was very low, occasionally straightening his back and nodding slightly.

Bai Letian looked at Grace with his light, remembered his appearance in his heart, picked up the wine glass and drank the last drop, got up and walked around Paul and the others from behind, walked towards the bar, holding two bills in his hand.

Under the gaze of the bar waiter, Bai Letian quietly left the bar and came to the street.

Under the dark street lights, several cars were parked on the side of the road. Bai Lotte could basically confirm that one of them belongs to Grace.

After Bai Letian walked to the shrubs under the tree, he stood there quietly. From here, he could see the door of the bar through the gaps between the leaves, and the cars on the roadside.

The door of the bar was pushed open, and a figure projected onto the steps in front of the bar. Grace walked down quickly, holding a cigarette, swung a car key in his right hand, and walked towards an extended silver-gray Rolls-Royce.

.

Grace opened the car door, started the engine, and drove forward along the street, and the lights were as bright as day.

Bai Lotte pushed away the leaves, jumped out from behind the bushes, ran to the side of the car, pulled open the door, started the car, and followed the silver-gray Rollslas, but the headlights did not turn on.

Bai Letian followed him from afar, always staying at about a few hundred yards behind Rollslas, like a leopard quietly approaching his prey. He held the steering wheel tightly with both hands, tapped the accelerator, and warned himself not to be impatient.

There is a section of street that is as narrow as a small alley, turning around.

Rolls-Royce drove fast, crossing the dilapidated streets, leaving the building covered in ragged clothes far behind, turning on a painted road with oak trees on both sides, the street lights were even scarce, and the wheels made a slight rustling sound.

The night sky is high and several stars are shining with glimmer.

Several leaves were lying on the road, which had been deformed by wheels, and a faint smell of oak trees floated into their nostrils.

Bai Letian thought of Professor Feng, Alisa, his own life experience, and his mother's tears. He shuddered, looked at Dongfang, and understood the mission he shouldered during this trip.
