Chapter 4: Front Teeth 2(1/2)

Chapter Four

"It's a monster."

Someone said softly.

"It's a monster."

Someone echoed.

Blacka said nothing, just silently wielding the ax to chop wood.

He is not a monster, he wanted to reply.

But it’s useless, no one will believe it.

"Why doesn't he go to the Black Forest? That's where he should be."

The muttering sound was ringing in his ears. Blacka didn't know it, but he was just chopping wood.

He didn't know why he was here now. His memory seemed a little confused and he couldn't distinguish anything clearly.

All he could see was a bundle of wood and an ax painted red.

Lift the ax and split the larger pieces of wood. This will make burning easier.

Lift the axe, cut the wood, go to the village to change money, buy food and return to the house left behind by the parents. After a little tidying up, start a new day.

One bundle of firewood can buy me a meal. I am very industrious and have never been hungry since I was a child. Ten bundles of firewood can buy me a set of clothes. I am very industrious and have never been cold since I was a child.

It is such a monotonous life without any color. It can almost be described as gray.

But Blacka is a simple guy. He is not very good at talking. He feels that this monotonous life is not bad. He just needs to go on day by day and do his part well.

He hopes it can go on like this, but the world is changing every moment.

When he started cutting firewood, it was the year the village came into contact with the Black Forest.

Blacka doesn't like the Black Forest, which is full of weird and disgusting things.

But why give yourself ears that can hear gossip and a heart that can feel hostility?

His ears can hear clearly even if they are separated by a wall or disturbed by a stove. His heart can detect people who are dissatisfied with him even if they are several streets away.

What he does every day is to chop firewood in another ordinary forest. Occasionally he will chop down trees and drag the wood back.

Nothing remains the same, it becomes just a village.

They came into contact with the Black Forest, a place valued by the whole world, and it was developing at an unimaginable speed.

Yearly, monthly, daily.

The villages are changing.

Calling it a village is a bit underestimating, but in fact it has long since become a city.

The people I know have gone somewhere a long time ago, and the road has been renovated countless times. Even the church is lit up. Every day when I go to sell firewood, I feel like I will get lost in the village if I am not careful.

among.

"This kid is weird."

The first person who noticed it was the boss who bought him firewood, because he had seen this child carry so much firewood on his back so quickly. It seemed that he would not be tired or too heavy.

"This child won't be a monster in the black forest, right?"

Someone started talking in the tavern. Blacka was unlucky that day and met a wolf on the way to chop wood. So that day he sold an extra wolf skin among the things he sold.

"This guy is a monster!"

Some people were so panicked that they were good people. They followed up secretly and saw Blacka carrying a pine tree alone. That thing cannot be lifted directly by people.

Later, Blacka couldn't hear clearly because too many people were talking about herself.

Suddenly, they realized how much Blacka was worth fawning over in a place where glory could be gained by relying on ability.

So everyone was urging him to go to the Black Forest, even though he was not yet an adult.

Why go to the Black Forest?

Because there is gold in it.

But I don’t need gold, why should I go to the Black Forest?

Because I can resurrect the people I cherish.

But I don’t have anyone I cherish, so why should I go to the Black Forest?

Because everything you want is inside.

I'm not that greedy. I can get what I want by cutting firewood.

So why should I go to the Black Forest?

Blacka felt dizzy, and he couldn't tell where he was.

Noisy taverns, smacking travelers, fallen trees, red axes, wild wolves, white clouds pressing down on the top of the mountain, and the sun being gnawed red by the top of the mountain.

He couldn't distinguish anything. He only heard one sentence, which was clearly distinguishable.

"What a monster."

Blacka woke up with a start, and the pain made him realize that he was still alive.

"It's the first time I've seen someone whose lungs were penetrated and can grow back on their own. It's also the first time I've seen someone who can put the bones in his shoulder back together."

When he heard someone say this, he turned around and looked at the person next to him who was wiping a knife and speaking softly.

It was a thin man, pointing a knife at him.

"Thank you." Blacka said softly, then slowly sat up, ignoring the knife he pointed at her.

He felt no hostility, and the man had no intention of harming him.

"Hey, you are quite brave for a child." He was stunned for a moment, took back the knife, and looked at him with a smile: "Where are you from?"

"I don't know the name of my village, it's probably the one at the entrance to the Black Forest." After a moment of hesitation, Blacka replied, and his attention was attracted by something behind him.

There were three heads and a half-sewed body.

I did something to them with an ax before I was unconscious, and now they are scattered. It seems that they have been collected...

He was a little nauseous, but his stomach was empty and he couldn't vomit anything.

"Huh? It's the door." He smiled and said, "Then I can understand. There are indeed many weirdos there."

Blacka was stunned and looked at him.

He didn't know what to say again, because he saw that half of this guy's head had been shaved off, and there were several eyes on the part of his head that should have been bright.

He felt nauseous again, but luckily he hadn't eaten anything, so it was just uncomfortable.

"Just call me Double Eyed." The guy grinned and said, "It's my nickname. I'm quite famous around here."

He should indeed be famous, but this disgusting look that can't be forgotten at one glance cannot be forgotten.

Blacka looked at him silently, because she didn't know what to say.

I don't know how to talk, so it's best to be quiet like this so that I won't be disliked by others.

Suddenly his mind suddenly clicked, and a serious question came to his mind.

"How long have I been lying there?" he asked softly.

This is a very serious matter, and the Knights will only stay here for three days.

"A week? You can't see the sun here, and I don't know very well." Duoyan said, stood up, stretched, looked at him and said, "Is there anything else wrong with you?"

"No big problem."

"If there is no problem, get up and eat. If this is your first time here, then you must have a taste of the food here." Duo Yan said this, watching Blacka get up from the bed, the bandage wrapped around her upper body had become

Decoration. The damage done to him by the crossbow has been almost completely restored.

"What an enviable body." He said softly.

"Isn't everyone like this?" Blacka asked hesitantly. He has been like this since he was a child, and his body can continue to persist even after being torn apart by wolves. He has never been to a hospital and thinks that everyone has a body similar to his own.

"If that's the case, we won't be completely unable to explore the Black Forest." Duoyan shrugged and left the room.

Blacka is the only one left here.

It just so happened that his mind was a little confused and he needed to know what was happening now and what he was going to do next.

He was careless and was attacked by the robbers here. Then he was rescued by a weirdo.

Why does this guy want to save himself?

I don't know, but this guy is not hostile to me.

The most important thing to care about is what exactly do you want to do next?

He was hired, so he had to go and see if the Knights had left.

But Anthony said that no matter who was left behind, he would be considered dead. They have left now. He is left here.
