Chapter 1: Goblin 1(1/2)
Chapter One
The surroundings were so quiet that there was no sound of insects. Blacka wiped the sweat from his head with his dirty sleeves and looked around nervously.
Actually it's not hot now, but a little cold.
This shouldn't be the case. Although the sun had risen not long ago, it was still late summer. In the middle of summer, a slight chill atop the wild trees in the forest made him feel cold from head to sole.
Cold sweat broke out due to nervousness, and vigilant eyes carefully observed the surroundings.
This is the Black Forest, a legendary prison set by God for demons. Monsters and ghosts are all in the forest. The only thing that has never been seen before has in common is that it can kill him in an instant.
Because he was only sixteen years old and only had an ax painted red in his hand.
The white rabbit stuck its head out from the grass and looked at the overly nervous guy curiously.
Blacka was startled and fell to the ground. Her body, which was already a bit muddy, was stained with black.
"Are you even afraid of rabbits? I really don't know what the point of bringing you here is." The person behind him taunted in a low voice. In this place where talking may attract the attention of ghosts, talkative people must chew on their words.
Just as Blacka was about to explain, he saw the guy next to him walking past. This guy was a guard in the same place and came from the same village as himself.
After all, he is just a "guy who doesn't even wear armor." This guy is as skinny as a stick, and he can't move even if he wears wooden armor.
As for the name?;
There is no need for that thing because he is already dead.
The rabbit suddenly jumped out of the jungle. The rabbit's head opened like a bottle cap, revealing layers of fine teeth. It was as fast as an arrow and bit his neck in an instant.
It was a two-meter-long snake with only its head white. To be precise, it looked like a rabbit from the belly up.
What is connected from the back is a slender snake body.
After biting through his neck, he immediately dragged him to the ground and into the forest. The originally silent forest came to life.
From the beginning to the end, Blacka had no thought of saving him. She just covered her mouth to prevent herself from screaming.
Because the next moment, he saw countless rabbit heads sticking out of the forest.
He could no longer let his body be controlled by reason and ran wildly back from where he came.
But it was still quiet, and even the sound of his running seemed to be impossible to produce here.
He ran in panic, and time passed quickly.
The tree roots appeared unluckily, and the boy fell in the mud.
"You're the only one back?"
When he got up, the knight in front of him asked.
This guy was wearing extremely tight standard armor. He looked down at Blacka who fell to the ground as if he was looking at the fallen attendant.
"You can't go this way." Blacka gasped and said, "There is a monster! It, it..."
He tried to explain, but had no idea how to describe that disgusting thing.
The knight raised his hand to indicate that he did not need to continue speaking, then turned and left.
It's enough for him to know this.
Blacka didn't say anything anymore, stood up without saying a word, and followed him.
A few minutes later, someone else appeared in the field of vision again.
This is the full name of the Fourth Regiment of the Cross Knights of the Kingdom of St. Tiernis. It is the name of these fifty-two knights and six priests, as well as the seventh prince Riley.
And this knight group is now surrounding the dragon chariot, forming a lineup around the forest just to deal with the invisible dangerous things.
Blacka didn't know any of them, and in his opinion, every one of these guys was a tin can.
There was one less person he knew just now. After escaping from death, he came to the carriage at the end in dejection and sat huddled in the corner.
I never thought I could be so timid.
But again, who can be brave in front of the monster? Not everyone is a hero.
The poor boy huddled up, not knowing what to do.
"You didn't bring the body back."
He heard a cold voice and raised his head. A guy wearing a crow mask said in a cold voice.
"It was caught by the Hidden Bush Snake, and I can't bring the body back." Blacka said softly, lowering her head and not daring to look at this guy.
His name is Anthony, a physician.
This guy has always used a robe and mask to distinguish himself from others since we met. He has a cold voice and a strange personality.
But no one doubted him, or even dared to ask him to do too many things. Even if this was a knighthood with a prince, no one dared to force him to do something he didn't want to do.
He is the guide, the one who can find one of the patron saints. As long as the price is right, he can lead others to find the most dangerous and terrifying patron saint in the forest.
Even if the person who hired him was a prince, he would have no status in front of him. In the eyes of that god, there was no distinction between high and low among mortals.
"Hidden bush snake? Then you are considered excellent for coming back." Anthony seemed to be praising him, but he couldn't hear the meaning of praise: "But you shouldn't be unable to bring back the body. Those guys can't run away, and they can't pull you.
hands and feet."
Blacka's pupils shrank and she didn't respond to him.
Yes, he could bring the body back. But because he was scared, he didn't even dare to look back, let alone snatch things from their hands.
His lips were a little purple. It was autumn now and winter was approaching. The weather was starting to feel a bit unfamiliar and the wind was a bit cold.
But this was not the reason for him to be in this state. Anthony looked at the boy, then took out the silver box from the bag next to him, and poured out a gray cube from it.
"It seems that there is still miasma in the place you went to."
The weirdo said, and after feeding the boy some cubes, the child fell asleep.
Then he turned over and got out of the carriage, carrying his sack and leaning on his crutches. He stood up straight and left, leaving Blacka sleeping on the carriage.
Anthony went to find the person in charge, whether it was a prince, a king, or whoever it was. In his opinion, it was the person in charge.
Soon he found the guy among the knights. He was also a teenager. He seemed to be underage, sitting in a carriage alone. There was only a white coffin with him.
"Is that you?" Prince Riley was stunned when he saw Anthony standing over at some point.
This guy makes almost no sound when he walks. If it were dark night, it would be difficult to detect him even if he walked in front of him.
Even if this guy was using a cane, it would make no sound when it hits the ground.
"We can't get through the road in front of us." Anthony expressed his meaning in the most concise language: "If we go further, we will all die here."
The atmosphere suddenly became silent. The knights surrounding the prince looked at the silent prince, waiting for him to speak.
"Then should we take a detour?" Riley didn't look scared, but asked him for a way.
"No." Anthony said without giving an explanation.
"Can I just ask the fairies for help?"
"That's all."
"Is there no other choice?"
"No, we will die here in two days at most." Anthony said: "We have been here for too long, they should come too."
"Them?" Riley was stunned: "Who is that?"
"My young Highness, my remaining conscience makes me want to hide it so that you can sleep peacefully. And how should I describe a group of disgusting things to you? Just think of them as our God of Death.
When we saw them, we were helpless." Anthony spoke very slowly, as if he wanted him to hear clearly.
Riley remained silent, knowing that this was beyond his control.
"Then please come down. You have to meet the gods next. You are not qualified to be so disrespectful." Anthony said softly, glanced at the white coffin, and paused for a moment.
Then he stopped talking and quietly walked to a place where no one was around and stood there.
It seems that this guy was slightly irritated, but he didn't know it with the mask on.
Riley followed him down and stood next to him carefully. Watching him take out the green bell from the sack.
Anthony rang the bell, and it made a very clear sound.
After three consecutive times, the sound of chuckles came from a strange place.
"It's Little Crow! I haven't seen you for a long time!"
The greeting that could almost be described as eager came from a girl who was about the size of a palm.
Riley was stunned, staring blankly at this little guy who looked like a toy.
This guy just appeared suddenly, coming out of a strange place without any warning.
There is nothing eye-catching about him, just a little man in green clothes spinning around next to Anthony.
If Riley hadn't been waiting for this guy, he probably wouldn't have noticed this guy.
He had heard her name for a long time, but this was the first time he saw her.
Goblin, one of the patron saints that protects the Black Forest.
