Master Xingyun said this before his death:

When you reach the end of your life, there are no relics and all kinds of red tape, and you will be exempted from all kinds of red tape.

In the world, one will die if one dies, and one will die, just like the cycle of four seasons.

Materials have "generation, existence, destruction, emptiness" and are destroyed, and of course there are "old, sick, death, life".

Master Xingyun said this before his death:

Throughout his life, people all thought that he was rich and profitable, but in fact he was determined to be poor.

In his childhood, he encountered wars in China. His family was poor, but he did not feel poor and was rich inside.

When people are old, people mistakenly think that they are rich and have glory and honor, but they realize that they are empty.

Because all the glory and wealth are the people in all directions, not mine.

On Crescent Island, although there were so many temples, schools, etc., they were unwilling to build a house for themselves, and add a table and chair for themselves. There was no tiles on it and no inch of land under it.

Buddhist Sangha items are shared by all directions, so how can one be privately owned by individuals? But in their hearts, they feel that the world is coexisting with them.

Master Xingyun said this before his death:

Throughout his life, people thought it was difficult to start a business, but in fact he felt it was simple in his heart. Because of collective creation, I was just one of the people. When I was doing it, I would do my best and the result would be as good as it would.

He pursued the life outlook of "retreat as advance, take the masses as me, act in nothingness as existence, and enjoy emptiness throughout his life."

All monks should be based on renunciation and use their transcendent thoughts to do worldly careers, and their lives should be simple and not accumulate.

People in the world mistakenly think that they are good at managing, but in fact they only know how to "govern by doing nothing".

We have mutual assistance and cooperation, and we have no right to manage others except for the precepts and legal system.

The precepts of disciples of Buddha Guang do not privately recruit fate, do not privately request, do not privately buy industries, do not privately create food, do not privately accept disciples, do not privately save money, do not privately build temples, and do not privately communicate with those who believe in others.

If all the disciples of Buddha Guang can do this, the Dharma lineage of Buddha Guangshan will be even more dazzling forever.

Master Xingyun said this before his death:

All sentient beings are free, all sentient beings are developed, and all sentient beings are accomplished.

The so-called "glory belongs to the Buddha, achievements belong to the masses, benefits belong to society, and merit belongs to believers", disciples of Buddha Light should follow it well.

I didn’t feel happy about everything in the world when I came, nor did I feel sorry for it when I went.
