Chapter 69: Attacked

Seti was unable to explain his "foreseen" future to Sengoku Garp and other senior navy officials, so he was unable to apply for a warship through the formal process.

He rushed to the dock of Marinefando as fast as he could. Looking at the docks coming and going, Seti couldn't care too much. He simply boarded the warships and asked the shipwrights responsible for repairing the warships one by one:

"Have you met Chief Instructor Zefa this morning?"

These engineers, who were responsible for the inspection and maintenance of warships, stayed at the dock most of the time. After asking several people in succession, one of them said that he had seen Zefa leading the team away in the morning.

"Then have you heard about the recently discovered uninhabited island in the Windless Zone?"

"I have also been there with a team. You can't even see the tree crowns when you look up at the jungle there. I don't know how many years it has grown."

It’s you!

Seti's eyes lit up and he hurriedly said:

"Take me over now. Chief Instructor Zefa forgot something here and wants me to deliver it to him."

After hearing this, the sailor showed a troubled expression:

"Isn't this good? The warships here must receive missions and see the sailing certificate before they can sail. If you don't see the approval documents, you will be punished for sailing without permission."

Seti was so anxious that he couldn't even bother to issue a certificate. Besides, even if he wanted to issue a certificate, he did not have the authority to mobilize warships as a student in the elite camp.

With this thought in mind, Seti could only put on a black face and said forcefully:

"What nonsense are you talking about? If the matter was not urgent, would Chief Instructor Zefa have let me come here in such a hurry? Hurry up and set sail. If it delays Chief Instructor Zefa, can you bear the responsibility?"

The sailor's face turned pale when he heard Seti's scary words. If a big-name soldier like himself offended the former general because of such a thing, he might never have a chance to be promoted in this life.

Thinking of this, the sailor couldn't help but shiver and said timidly:

"Okay, okay, I'll sail the ship. If anyone is held accountable later, you have to help me plead with General Zefa for mercy."

With that said, he turned around and started the boat, heading straight towards the windless zone.

Perhaps it was because recruits had never secretly taken off a warship before, so Seti didn't encounter any questioning along the way and successfully arrived at the Windless Zone through the Gate of Justice.

…………

When Seti arrived at the windless zone and quickly rushed towards the uninhabited island, Zefa and others' warship met a somewhat dilapidated merchant ship on the other side.

"Look, there's a ship over there."

Hearing the shouts of their companions, the students on the warship turned their heads and looked:

"Really, how can there be such a small boat sailing in the windless zone? Their boats don't have sea towers. Isn't sailing here no different than committing suicide?"

"Perhaps there is some unspeakable secret. Look at the tattered hull of the ship. Maybe it encountered pirates and was forced to sail into this windless zone."

"Hey, is there anyone else on the boat opposite?"

After shouting for a long time, there was no movement on the opposite boat. All the students looked at each other and were a little at a loss.

"I've been calling for so long and there's been no movement. I guess there's no one on this boat. I'd say we should just avoid this boat."

"How can this be done? Maybe the people on the boat have been drifting in the windless zone for too long and have no strength to call for help. If we go around the boat again, won't the other party lose even their last chance of survival?

"

Both sides insisted on their own opinions, and no one could convince the other. In the end, one student said:

"Why don't we just stop there and just find someone to get on the boat to take a look?"

After hearing this, Sawyer in the crowd stood up and said:

"Let me go. I will use my fruit power to fly over there and take a look. Even if there is any problem, I can fly back directly."

Sawyer's words won everyone's unanimous approval. Under the gaze of all the students, Sawyer entered the human-animal form, spread a pair of wings, and flew to the opposite ship in a whoosh:

"Hey, is there anyone? We are the navy. If you have any difficulties, we will definitely help you."

After shouting twice and searching the deck of the merchant ship, he still couldn't see a ghost. Such a strange situation made Sawyer feel a little unsure.

Could this be some kind of ghost ship?

Thinking of the legend about the ghost ship that he heard when he was a child, Sawyer's legs couldn't help but tremble a little. Just when he was thinking about whether to go back directly, a voice came from behind:

"Hey, Sawyer, look at the cabin, maybe someone is resting in the cabin."

Sawyer looked back at the students on the boat. Seeing that everyone was staring at him, he couldn't say that he didn't dare to continue the search.

I could only bite the bullet and stay in front of the cabin door, hesitating whether to open the door and take a look.

Just as Sawyer hesitated, there was a sudden creaking sound in the cabin.

Hearing this voice, Sawyer couldn't help but his eyes lit up. It turned out that someone was really inside. He pushed the door open:

"Someone..."

Before he finished speaking, a sharp blade suddenly appeared in front of his eyes, and Sawyer's excited expression was frozen.

After a muffled sound, Sawyer's lifeless body fell to the ground, his eyes still filled with confusion.

He lost his life without even seeing clearly who the enemy was who struck out with that sword.

"Ahhhhh!"

The students on the boat saw that Sawyer was suddenly cut in half with a knife as soon as he opened the door, and they couldn't help but scream in horror.

This scream alerted the man holding the knife. He looked at the warship in the distance, a bloodthirsty red light flashed in his eyes. He raised his feet and collapsed heavily on the dilapidated deck of the merchant ship. His huge body actually jumped out.

Far away, it landed firmly on the boat.

The huge figure that landed on the boat roared like a beast, and the naginata in his hand was like the scythe of the god of death, mercilessly slashing through the throat of a student who had not yet reacted.

In the blink of an eye, another student who had been with them day and night lost his life. This made the students on the ship extremely angry. Many people roared and rushed towards the tall figure, but in the next second they became victims of the opponent's knife.

Dead soul.

Obviously, the strength of the people in front of them was much stronger than them. They were usually like the proud sons of heaven in Malinfando, but when faced with the figure in front of them, they were as weak as little insects.

Hearing the screams of the students, Zefa, who had been resting in the main control room with his eyes closed, quickly got up and opened the hatch.
