Chapter 559 Recruitment

The street outside the apartment.

On the wide main road, the roar of engines spread to all directions. A number of modified and reinforced cars and trucks drove out from the corner of the main road. On the avenue facing the apartment building, military armored vehicles were particularly conspicuous.

The guards standing on the roof looking out looked at the cars surrounding the apartment and the combatants jumping out of the cars one after another with guns in hand. Their legs were shaking unconsciously and a look of panic appeared on their faces.

"Quick...run, the people from the camp are coming around!"

Seeing such a huge battle, one of them finally couldn't bear to speak anymore, turned around and fled from upstairs.

When the other person saw this, he didn't dare to stay on the roof anymore and followed closely behind.

On the main road below, the armored vehicle slowly parked at the main door of the apartment, opened its side, and Brian slowly stepped out of the impact vehicle.

Looking at the situation in front of me, I saw three apartment buildings surrounding each other in a U-line. Through the middle gate was a fence, and I could see people eating inside.

I noticed that the clothing and appearance of these people were completely different from those in the previous survivor groups.

Seeing this, Brian couldn't help but nodded. It seemed that he got the news right. This group of survivors was indeed different.

Just as Brian kept looking up and down, a middle-aged man with a muscular body and a typical European face walked out of the door of the apartment building.

Barnett stood behind the iron fence, looking at the man standing in the center outside. Although the other man didn't say anything, he could feel that the man was the center of the group of people.

"I know what you came here to do, but I want to say that we have not attacked the people in your camp. We... just want to survive."

"Oh, no one wants to live, Barnett."

When he met the man, Brian identified the man's identity from the information he had obtained not long ago. He casually sat down on the stone pier outside the iron fence and said, "Although your location is in Peachtree City,

Marginal, but to put it bluntly, it is impossible for a group like yours to last for long, and..."

As he spoke, he looked at the skeletons of some animals in the courtyard of the apartment. Most of the skeletons were relatively young, and they were still in the cub stage.

"There aren't many prey in the woods around Peachtree City. If you continue to hunt blindly, all the camps nearby will suffer."

"No need to talk so much nonsense."

After hearing these words, Barnett frowned and said, "Tell me your purpose..."

But just after he finished speaking, he suddenly realized something, his pupils shrank slightly, thinking that the other party actually called out his name, he lost his voice and said: "What did you do to Catherine and the others!"

"It's nothing. I just invited them back to the camp to rest for the time being. I have rebuilt the resettlement area there. Nothing will happen to them for the time being."

Brian did not hide this, and said very frankly: "To be honest, compared to those beasts in human skin, I quite like the way you two deal with things."

"Now, the choice I gave her will also be given to you."

Compared to direct forced orders, Brian still prefers to let people make their own choices.

"First, take these people out of Peachtree City. I won't touch your supplies and weapons, but you can't wander around Peachtree City again."

"Second, you and Catherine will join my camp as managers of the resettlement area. Just like the previous model, I will provide an appropriate amount of supplies and hunting weapons. You will figure out the rest by yourself until the time is right.

You will be integrated into the camp at that time."

After saying that, Brian looked at Barnett through the iron bars, staring closely into his eyes, as if to see something from inside, and said with a smile: "You people have wasted too much of my time, so no matter what happens today,

I will solve all the problems no matter what, just make your choice."

“…..”

Looking at Brian outside the iron fence, and then at the crowd of people gathered on the street behind him, Barnett knew that he had no choice today.

Turning his head and looking at the panicked Sergey, Dino and others behind him, he finally sighed and said, "I know, if we leave Peachtree City, I'm afraid there won't be any good results. We will go to you."

The camp…”

Seemingly thinking about something, he asked again: "Apart from Catherine, who else..."

Naturally, he has nothing to do with Paul, Roland and others. He is more concerned about those people who are bullied by them.

Brian seemed to know what Barnett wanted to ask, and said with a smile: "Don't worry, we are adopting a stealth operation, which will directly target the enemy's vital parts. As for the remaining people, most of them chose to go to the newly established

It’s over there at the resettlement area.”

"If I hadn't been surprised by what you and that Catherine did, then there wouldn't be a large army waiting for you today. I would have cut off your head directly."

"Then thank you as well."

Hearing this, Barnett gave a wry smile, took out the key from his pocket, unlocked the big lock on the iron fence, and at the same time asked the crowd behind him to put down their weapons.

A large number of combat soldiers walked past from both sides, and soon all the people in the apartment building were put on the trucks.

Barnett followed Brian into the armored vehicle and sat in the rear seat.

The car slowly opened its mouth, and the vehicles returned one after another along the original route, approaching the direction of the camp.

Looking at the city buildings passing by outside the car window, Barnett said: "Why do you want Catherine and I to manage the resettlement area?"

"Because we took it too much for granted last time."

Brian just smiled and said bluntly: "Rather than having outsiders manage things and increase their resistance, I think it's better to have familiar people. Even if something goes wrong, the anger will be directed at you."

The clay figurine still had a bad temper. Hearing Brian plotting against him without hesitation, Barnett also lost his temper.

"Let us manage the camp. Aren't you afraid that the same thing will happen again?"

"Before, we didn't want to control you too much. Apart from providing appropriate assistance, we didn't supervise you too much."

Brian still didn't care about this and continued: "If you really know our camp, you will know that the so-called turmoil of you people is just a small fight, and we will not make the same mistake.

Twice."

"It looks like you've got us."

Realizing that he was a little impatient, Barnett quickly adjusted his attitude and asked a key question.

"When the resettlement area is established, what are you going to do with us?"

"Hey, don't speak so harshly."

Brian waved his hand and said: "After all, the population of people who are surviving in the apocalypse is the source of all productivity, so after confirming that you are okay, I will let you join the camp."

"but…"

At this point, Brian could sneer at the corner of his mouth and said: "Some bugs think they can fool me by pretending to be a vulnerable group. Once I have all the combatants identify the person, they can be picked out quickly."

"Do you...have that much food?

Upon hearing this, Barnett remained silent and did not answer. Instead, he asked about another key matter.

"When I was in the Atlanta Resistance Army, I saw many survivor camps in the surrounding areas. Many of them...were not full to eat. Can you ensure the food problem?"

"Hmph, how can a group of guys who only know how to plunder and exploit know the importance of farming."

The smile on Brian's face did not diminish, and he answered calmly: "In this world, if you really want to be a shelter in the eyes of others, you need to feed everyone. This is the prerequisite for building everything. I think... I have done a good job.
