Chapter 16 The old guy’s housekeeping skills

Chuck Daly couldn't help but smile as he watched the fight between his proud disciple Thomas Sr. and Kong Bu.

In a daze, the time of the Pistons more than ten years ago appeared before my eyes.

Although that Pistons team was criticized by the outside world, the atmosphere within the team was quite harmonious and united.

Even Rodman, the super tough guy, is still a brother and brother in the team.

Originally, my father thought that Kongbu would ask for advice on how to arrange his troops, or when to call a timeout, and other coaching issues.

In the end, he asked such a puzzling question.

"What a funny guy, capable and characterful."

"Isiah, you have a good vision. This time you found an impressive talent."

Dad said with a smile.

"Interesting? Dad, you don't know how bad this kid is!"

"While Ranbir is not here, I can pat my chest and guarantee that this kid is worse than Ranbir."

"The level of shamelessness is far beyond..., well, I can't think of anyone who can match this kid in terms of shamelessness."

"But you are right, I do have a good eye, this guy has some ability."

Old Thomas had a wry smile on his face. He suspected that he owed Kongbu a large debt in his previous life and that he had come to collect debts from him in this life.

After more than half an hour, players from both sides began to enter the stadium.

It's still the Raptors' home court.

It's just that tonight there are no more boos. In just one game, Kongbu made the little black guys shut up.

"Coach, don't worry."

"Even if Camby and Steph are suspended, as long as we perform normally tonight, we can still beat the Magic for at least 30 points."

"I'll crush their insides!"

Daben patted his chest and made a sound, full of confidence.

The Magic in the first two years were extremely powerful because they had O'Neal and Penny.

But things are different now. Not only did O'Neal run away, but even Pence was injured one after another.

Pence was placed on the injured list for tonight's game and did not play at all.

Such a magic team is not much better than the Grizzlies in terms of combat power. Of course, Ben is confident of defeating his opponent.

Kongbu shook his head quickly, "Ben, calm down."

"This game doesn't need to be so bloody. Let's take a look at the situation first. If the advantage is not big, then we can play normally."

"If the advantage is too big, just let it go a little bit and give Daddy Chuck a little respect."

Ben nodded solemnly, "Okay, everything depends on the coach."

Kongbu didn't want his father to lose too badly, mainly because he felt that he was a bit weak in victory.

This Magic is in trouble. Dad just took over this season. If they are beaten by the new Raptors, Dad will not look good.

(Brian Hill:?, look what you are saying is human)

"Dudududu!"

The referee blew the whistle to start the game.

The troops from both sides began to appear.

The Raptors suspended two players, but Kongbu was still able to produce a good lineup.

Center Jones, power forward Ben, small forward Monster Mashburn, shooting guard McGrady and point guard Christie.

The Magic's lineup seems a bit shabby.

Center dancer Ronny Sekali, power forward Cobra Horace Grant, small forward Beau Outlaw, shooting guard Nick Anderson and point guard Mark Price.

It's not shabby to say it's shabby. If these players were all in their prime, they would definitely be a super team.

Dancer Seikali, from his nickname, we know that he is a super low-post turn master. In terms of pure steps under the basket, he may be second only to the great dream Olajuwon.

He has strong rebounding strength. The record of 34 rebounds in a single game in the history of the Heat is held by Sekali.

Unfortunately, he was seriously injured in the past few years, and now Seikali's strength is not as good as before.

Especially his rebounding ability is now almost on the same level as old Thorpe.

Horace Grant, the cobra at the fourth position, is the third leader of the Bulls' first dynasty. His rebounding ability is also outstanding and he can easily contribute more than 4 offensive rebounds per game.

This is the level of a big book at its peak.

Unfortunately, after arriving with the Magic, I don't know whether it was due to age or because I slacked off after getting a big contract, and my strength also shrank.

Outlaw at the third position is an unknown player and not worth mentioning, but shooting guard Anderson has something to say.

Before Pence joined the Magic, he was the most stable scorer next to O'Neal, averaging about 20 points per game.

The strength definitely comes from having two brushes, but there are not many hairs on the brushes, and in the playoffs all the hairs will fall out.

Finally, there is Mark Price at the No. 1 position. He is one of the best players in Cavaliers history. He has been an All-Star for many times, was selected to the All-NBA Team of the Year, and was even nominated for the Hall of Fame.

At his peak, Price was a top-five super point guard in the league.

It's a pity that he is getting older now. Under normal circumstances, he would retire directly after finishing this season.

It can be seen that the Magic's lineup is too aging. Facing the new force Raptors, they suffered a big loss in terms of physical fitness.

In the first offensive round, the Raptors got the ball.

Mashburn received a pass from Christie on the outside and rushed inside against his opponent.

Near the free throw line, Mashburn provoked his opponent with a fake move, then jumped up and made a mid-range shot, making an easy hit.

This physical quality is truly incredible, and he is worthy of his reputation as a monster.

The style of play does seem to be a bit like that of Carmelo Anthony in later generations. No wonder Anthony's draft template is Mashburn.

Next came the Magic's offensive round, and veteran point guard Price accurately lobbed the ball into the hands of Seikali under the basket.

The veteran point guards who entered the league in the 1980s could do nothing else except the ability to lob the ball to the basketball. This was an essential skill for point guards in the post era.

Of course Price is no exception. His lob ability will definitely beat Christie.

After Seikali received the ball, Jones immediately stepped forward to engage in physical confrontation, trying to squeeze him out of the penalty area.

As the saying goes, a skinny camel is bigger than a horse, and Seikali truly illustrates this point.

He took a tentative step under the basket, then turned around gracefully, easily knocked Jones away, and hit the rebound.

The entire attack seemed smooth and fluid, worthy of the name of a dancer.

Even Kong Bu nodded secretly. These veteran centers who are proud of the league really have their own tricks.

In that era where super centers gathered together, if you didn't have something serious, you really couldn't survive.

Even if the dancer is old now, it is still more than enough to play a Jones.

Next, the two sides entered an offensive and defensive round.

The Magic were obviously aware of Jones's shortcomings, as Price kept lobbing the ball to Seikali for singles under the basket.

Although the success rate of this kind of singles is not necessarily high, it can at least stabilize the situation and tighten the score between the two sides.

It's not that Kongbu didn't think about letting Ben and Jones switch defenses, but he knew very well that such a switch would even have the opposite effect.
