003-Brain-burning reasoning

Ignoring the pop-up window on the computer, Chen Chen stared at the hat that suddenly appeared next to the computer with a solemn expression.

He could be sure that when he turned on the computer, there was absolutely no hat next to him.

And, this hat...

It seems too familiar...

Chen Chen reached out with some hesitation and took the hat in his hand.

The hat is made of canvas, which feels slightly rough in the hand. The color is khaki, just like the shape of a peaked cap, and is only about the size of a palm.

No matter how you look at it, this doesn't look like a hat that a human being can wear.

Turn the hat over, and there is a white polyester-sewn sticky note inside the hat, with a few lines of English written on it:

"IF LOST RETURN TO:"

"Harry Goodman; 1722 Green St. Ryme Clty."

And translated, it means:

"If lost, please return to: Harry Goodman, 1722 Green Street, Lyme."

This is……

Chen Chen took a breath of cold air, a look of shock appeared in his eyes.

He suddenly turned back and looked at the computer screen, only to realize that the movie playing had automatically terminated.

This is Pikachu’s peaked cap from the movie!

At this moment, Chen Chen only felt absurd and unbelievable. He quickly bent down and looked under the bed!

no one!

He quickly stood up and looked at the upper bunk!

no one!

He quickly opened the desk drawer!

Still no one...

After confirming that there was no one in the dormitory, he had to believe that all this was not a prank by his roommates.

What's more, even if it was a prank, how would the other party know that he would definitely turn on the movie "Detective Pikachu" at this time?

But if it wasn't a prank, what could it be?

Because I opened the movie, the computer extracted the hat in the movie?

What an international joke!

What's more, it's not the first time I've watched this movie on my computer, so why did this happen only this time?

Suddenly, Chen Chen seemed to have thought of something, and he suddenly focused his eyes on the black USB flash drive!

Is it the devil?

Chen Chen narrowed his eyes.

I don’t know if it’s due to the light or psychological effects, but the shell of the USB flash drive seems to be a lot mottled at this time.

The USB flash drive, which was originally very dark, now seemed to be covered with a layer of darkness, like metal that had been stranded in the air for a long time and was oxidized by the air.

Has the USB disk changed, or has there been an error in the memory?

Chen Chen did not believe in evil, so he closed the "Program Error" pop-up window and double-clicked the movie "Detective Pikachu" again.

However, the "Program Error" prompt appeared on the screen again.

The file is corrupted again?

Chen Chen frowned. He thought for a while and tried to click delete. He only heard a "swish" sound from the computer, and the movie in the USB flash drive was really deleted...

Chen Chen was stunned. He still remembered that when deleting other movies before, a "program error" was displayed, and he thought that the movies in the USB flash drive could not be deleted.

So, he tried again to delete the original horror movies in the USB flash drive.

However, the result remains unchanged. Every time I delete it, the computer will pop up a "Program Error" window.

"Does it mean that only movies that have been played can be deleted?"

Chen Chen was thoughtful, he opened the local D drive again, dragged "Detective Pikachu" to the USB drive again, and then tried to delete it.

"Boom!"

Sure enough, the movie files copied again cannot be deleted.

So Chen Chen clicked on the movie again, and this time the movie played as usual, without any abnormalities.

Chen Chen, who was in front of the screen, kept recalling that he seemed to miss his dog before, and at the same time attached his emotions to the character of Pikachu, and then what happened next.

So, Chen Chen fast-forwarded the video to the stage when Pikachu appeared, and at the same time once again imagined extracting Pikachu from the movie.

After a few seconds, the movie closed again and a "Program Error" window popped up.

At the same time, a hat that was exactly the same as before appeared on the right side of the computer!

It’s actually true!!!

Chen Chen's eyes widened. Although he was prepared, no matter how he observed, he still couldn't see how the hat appeared in this position.

It just appeared out of thin air, right?!

Chen Chen picked up the two hats together and compared them, only to find that both the details and the handwriting on the labels were exactly the same.

It's as if God created two identical things at the same time.

"Is it really the USB flash drive?"

Chen Chen said in disbelief. He looked at the USB flash drive again, only to find that the USB flash drive was darker than before, like a useless item abandoned in a corner.

"This thing is losing..."

Chen Chen immediately understood that every time he extracted something from the movie, the energy of the USB flash drive would be lost.

So, what kind of energy does this energy belong to?

Electric energy?

Solar energy?

Or some other type of energy that is beyond human technology?

More importantly, can this energy be replenished? Is this USB flash drive disposable, or can it be recharged and reused?

Also, why can the USB flash drive only generate Pikachu's hat even though I clearly imagined it? Is it because of insufficient energy or other factors?

And, if you open other movies, can you extract the things in those movies?

All these questions whizzed through Chen Chen's mind. He took a deep breath and suppressed the excitement that made his whole body tremble.

calm down……

Chen Chen took deep breaths, stood up, walked to the dormitory door, locked the dormitory, and then returned to the computer to think silently.

There are too few clues and multiple trials are needed.

However, the energy of the USB flash drive cannot support multiple experiments at all, so what should we do?

Thinking of this, Chen Chen took out a blank notebook from the drawer, controlled his trembling hands, and wrote the word "principle" on the first page.

"Principle: Unknown."

How to use existing scientific principles to explain the mysterious USB flash drive phenomenon?

Indeed, with the knowledge reserve of Chen Chen's brain, it was impossible to explain what just happened.

How can a movie, which is obviously just composed of codes and frames of images, create something out of thin air?

"Guess: Aliens? People from the future? Brains in a vat?"

After writing the second paragraph, Chen Chen couldn't help laughing to himself, and then wrote the third line.

"Ability: Through the thoughts of the person watching the video, the things shown in the video can be ingested/embodied into reality (does not seem to include living things)"

Chen Chen guessed that he was thinking about Pikachu both times, but only the hat was extracted from both times. In other words, the USB flash drive cannot embody living life.

Of course, it cannot be ruled out that it is due to insufficient energy.

Chen Chen clicked on the movie again, and a program error window popped up on the screen, and then he tried to delete it.

With a swoosh, the movie was successfully deleted.

"Sure enough, after extracting the substance, it can be deleted from the USB flash drive."

In other words, you can put any movie you want into the USB flash drive, but you cannot delete it.

If you want to delete the movie, you have to extract something from the movie, causing the movie file to be damaged.

Thinking of this, Chen Chen wrote again:

"Rule 1: Videos can be imported, but they cannot be deleted at will after being imported. You must wait until the file is damaged;"

"Rule 2: At present, it seems that only extracting an item from the video will damage the video;"

"Rule 3: The size, weight, and other objective factors of extractable items have not been tested."

Finally, Chen Chen looked at the USB flash drive itself.
