42. Chapter 42 Apology

Galen's arrival made Sean's apartment much more lively, and the room that had been vacant finally had a place to work. The two-bedroom and one-living room was rented to live with Naomi. But perhaps because of uncertainty about the future or some other reason, Naomi chose to refuse, so she was vacant. And Sean had paid for three months, and if she had withdrawn immediately, she would definitely lose a lot, so she lived there. Now it's just cheaper.

The welcome ceremony was not grand but very warm. Pock barked at Galen for almost ten minutes, and was called several times by Sean before stopping. Even so, it still followed Galen from time to time, while maintaining a distance. As long as Galen did something, he jumped to the side immediately and was very vigilant, making Galen particularly depressed. Is he so much like a bad person?

"When I take a shower, it won't follow in, and then..." He gestured with his hands, making a cracking look.

"It's possible, so be careful." Sean thought for a while and gave this answer.

In contrast, Lucy was much calmer, rolled into balls of meat on the sofa, just raised her head and took a look when the door opened, and then continued to sleep.

With an assistant, Sean's living standards were immediately much higher. Not to mention anything else, at least the food was much better than before. I said before that Garen's ideal was to be a chef and then run a restaurant that belongs entirely to his own, and his family runs the restaurant, and he knows how to make Chinese food - this is the most important thing.

Although American Chinese food has made many changes because it is adapted to the local customs, there are also many good dishes, which are enough for Sean to satisfy their cravings. Galen's restaurants are basically mainly Chinese food, and he learned a lot of them secretly. It is precisely because he thought Chinese food was good, and he had a trip to the mainland with Sean before and tasted a lot of authentic Chinese food that Galen had this idea.

This is one of the reasons why Sean chose Garen as his assistant. A weekly salary of $400 plus an hourly salary of $8 is already a pretty good salary, and it will definitely increase in the future.

In addition, he can also have more time to do other things, such as starting to study scripts wholeheartedly, or—

"After reading it? How do you think?" Shaun, who was cutting the apple, saw Naomi close the script and immediately pushed the cut plate over.

"What are you doing to cut this small?" Naomi looked at the cubes that were almost diced, "Do you want to make a salad?"

"Of course not, it's better to cut into small pieces." Sean said and wiped his hands, "How about it, what do you think about the script and the characters."

"Not bad," Naomi, who threw a small piece of apple into her mouth, thought for a while, "It was clear in layers and well organized, and basically grasped the main storyline of the novel, but the pace was a little slow, the only regret was..."

Speaking of this, she suddenly looked at Sean and laughed maliciously: "There is no homosexual intimacy scene, there is not even a kiss scene."

Sean couldn't help but feel silent.

"You just want to see me...be intimate with other men?" he asked angrily.

"Of course, that tests acting skills, isn't it?" Naomi bent her eyes, her gray-green eyes were indescribable.

"Okay, Nami, let's talk about the character, just be more specific." Sean rolled his eyes and stopped entangling on this topic.

"Okay," Naomi, who had been happy enough to put him in his smile, "I think Tom Ripley was completely self-inflicted, and it was destined to be the end since he began accepting Dick's father's commission."

"But he didn't think so much at first," Sean raised his objection. "He just made the $1,000, and before he murdered Dick, he never thought of taking everything for himself. He just wanted to keep getting closer to him and his life, and he fell in love with Dick."

"But he still loves himself the most, isn't he? Everything he does is for himself."

"It's unfair to say that. If Dick had not been killed by accident, he would have been kicked out in the end."

"Without a man-killing, there will be murder, didn't you notice, Sean, the script started out as he pretended to be in a borrowed Princeton uniform, which actually says it all."

Sean didn't say anything, pondered for a moment, nodded and shook his head: "Your thinking is very keen, Nami, probably because the author of the original novel is a woman. However, now the directing is for men, or Anthony Mingla, the director of "The Patient in the UK", so you can refer to it, but you can only copy it."

"Okay, this is my opinion anyway." Naomi shrugged and said in an undeniable tone.

"Then let's design the details." Sean, who was smiling in his heart, immediately changed the subject.

This discussion passed in an afternoon. With the help of Naomi, Sean designed several small actions in various situations that belong to Ripley. Although most of these details may not be useful, they are still useful in terms of pioneering ideas.

"It's really necessary that you spend so much effort on designing these?" Naomi was quite puzzled by this. "I know this is useful for performances, but it's too much too much, right?"

"You know, Nami, I don't have any qualifications now, and I play the leading role as an Oscar director as a newcomer," Sean shrugged, "So, I have nothing else to rely on except trying to do my job perfectly."

Naomi didn't say anything for a long time, and after a while, she held Sean's hand: "Remember to lower your posture, Sean, don't have conflicts with others. Your experience will make many actors jealous."

"I know, Nami, I can take care of myself, don't worry." Sean smiled slightly, raised her hand in front of her, and gently kissed the back of her hand.

Naomi looked at him with a complicated look, and after a moment he was about to speak, she was taken a step ahead by Sean: "I'll live here tonight, okay?"

"I don't know what the appeal is here. It's much smaller than your current apartment, and the environment is also very average." Naomi sighed.

"At least it's a one-bedroom apartment, which is much better than the one we lived together before." Sean said with a smile, as if he couldn't hear what she said at all.

"Okay, Nami, just think it's helping me," he changed his face again without waiting for the other party to speak. "I just found an assistant, a friend of mine in San Francisco, a good person, but for some reason, Poker doesn't like him very much, so I want to give them more time to spend alone."

Naomi couldn't help laughing, and Sean immediately hit the snake and sat in front of her, holding her in his arms.

"Okay then." Naomi struggled a little and stopped moving.

Sean immediately kissed her firmly: "Then let's go out for dinner tonight."

--------

If you think this would satisfy Sean, it would be wrong, but Jodana often travels between New York and Los Angeles, and after that day she returned to New York. Although she had been here in the middle, she is not in Los Angeles now, otherwise Sean would definitely find a way to ask her out.

For him in this life, chasing those attractive women seems to have become a natural thing after the eighth grade. Of course, he also set a bottom line for himself, to get together and leave, and not to make them sad. Perhaps in the eyes of some people, this is making excuses for his fickleness or being a bitch, but Sean has been practicing it. At least from junior high school to now, no one has ever said bad things about the girls he has dated.

Since Jordanna is not here, Sean had to reminisce by looking at the billboard. GUESS's jeans print advertisement has been officially launched recently. Kevin Gould is a well-known photographer. He shot his shots in a young and energetic way, sunny and masculine manner, not inferior to professional models at all. However, Sean always feels that Jordanna is the most eye-catching character in the entire advertisement. The thin-shouldered top with tight jeans makes her look very sexy and hot, and the charm of Latin blood was perfectly released at this moment.

At least, the first time that guy Garen gave after seeing the advertisement for the first time was that the girl was so charming.

It doesn't matter, this is just my first advertisement, and there will be better in the future. Sean had to comfort himself like this.

Although Jordanna is not here at the moment, there is still someone else, someone Garen wants to sign.

------

"Hey, Jane, here." Sean, who poked his head out of the trailer, wanted to shout loudly but did not dare to.

"What are you doing here?" Jennifer Aniston walked over with a humble face.

"I'll do it..." Sean smiled embarrassedly. Although he was a little embarrassed, he immediately had the courage to come out after receiving the note he asked someone to bring in.

"I'm here to apologize," he said, lowering his head, as if he was doing something wrong.

"Apology?" Jennifer felt like he heard some funny joke, his tone became exaggerated, his voice became much sharper, and his gritted teeth were very obvious.

"Listen to me, Rachel, this is an accident..." Sean hurriedly wanted to explain.

Unexpectedly, the other party's voice became even louder: "What did you call me? Sean? Tang, what did you call me just now?"

Sean couldn't help but complain, thinking about how to make Jennifer. He didn't expect to call the wrong name the fastest. He immediately raised his hands and shouted in a low voice: "Listen to me, Jane, how about I say? This is a normal thing and a helpless thing. Look, you have played the role of Rachel so well, and you have some similarities with Rachel. We only know you through this TV series. Subconsciously, you basically equate you with Rachel. I dare say that 99% of people are like this, so this is my fault, but please don't be angry about it, okay?"

Jennifer tightened his face at first, glared at him, and turned around and left. But as Sean told him, he first frowned, then thoughtful, and finally became a little helpless and... lonely.

"Is that true?" she asked indifferently.

Sean just spread his hands out, and after a while, he said carefully: "I don't think this is a bad thing, after all... some actors may not be able to leave an impressive character in their lives."

He didn't know what changes his words would cause.
