140. Chapter 140 A Chance

"Each department is ready, every department is ready!" With the voice of the director's assistant, the crowd that was originally resting, all the people wearing armor stood at the designated position.

"Action!" The sound of the field recorder resounded through the audience through the loudspeaker.

A few seconds later, the actors standing on the giant wall that had been kept and covered by curtains began to waving their weapon models to "fight" and many people were whining to increase the atmosphere. This didn't matter. It had been said before that Jackson specially rented the stadium in Wellington and found tens of thousands of fans to record the sound effects of the Helmet Valley by collective shouting, so there was no recording equipment at the scene, and it didn't matter if he screamed hoarsely.

When the shooting arm drew a semicircle in the air, the sound of "Cut" came from the loudspeaker. The actors stopped and started to sit or rest against the wall. For more than ten seconds, they seemed very tired.

This is not surprising. There have been more than ten shots like this. The camera on the boom has gone from left to right, right to left, from top to bottom, from bottom to top, or even right to left to left, or left to right, with no angle that has not been tested. Once, there was even two waves in the air, but the boom has shaken irregularly for a few times, scaring the photographer who was watching the camera on it to death.

Such shooting, even if it only takes dozens of seconds at a time, it is tiring to accumulate, not to mention that the actors are still wearing armor. Such shooting is a common occurrence in the plot of Helmet Valley. It is often the case. It only takes one scene for several days, and continues to shoot from different angles. No wonder it has been filmed for a month before, but the progress is only one third of the plan.

"What do you think?" Jackson, who was watching the filming in the monitor repeatedly, asked the assistant director and his assistants.

"Enough, we just need to pick out the right footage clips from them," said an assistant.

"Perhaps we can also consider moving from behind the wall to the front path." Another assistant expressed a disagreement.

"I think this shooting can be passed. I have been shooting it over for two days and all the situations have been taken into account." This one agrees with the first one.

After talking, the majority of people who agreed that it was OK, both in terms of progress and shooting results, it was OK. But Jackson didn't say anything, looked at the screen for a moment, then walked back and forth in the tent twice, then looked up and said, "I need a long shot."

Soon, the photographer was called over, and Jackson stood in front of the simple model and explained to him: "I need to move from here to here, then move from here to here, and finally stretch to the panoramic view. What do you think?"

"Don't let me go." The photographer shouted immediately.

"I'm taking the camera myself this time," Jackson waved his hand, "I just asked you what you think, this is the last shot, and it must be the best result."

The photographer then breathed a sigh of relief. He was already very tired, and the previous problem with the arm - although it was just a small problem - made him somewhat shadowed.

Soon, the two people who had fully exchanged their opinions determined the desired color, light sense, distance, light and dark effects.

"Let the lighting engineer adjust the contrast of the light on the scene to a stronger degree, cut the light source from the left and right sides, and use n to the focal length of the lens...Okay, the fifth numbered." He then ordered the assistant, and then the costumer rushed over: "Mr. Jackson, they have changed the costumes again."

"I understand." The fat New Zealand man nodded, said a few more words to his assistant, then left the tent, followed the path to the bottom of the city wall, and jumped up a few steps, with agility inversely proportional to his figure.

"How about it, Vigo, John, Orlando, Sean, can you continue?" He called out the names of several starring actors one by one.

"I'm fine." Sean was the first to express his opinion, although there was obvious fatigue on his face.

"I'm fine, either." Then there was Motson, who took a deep breath.

"So too." Then it was Bloom, and he did a few movements to stretch his body.

Then, they looked at Davis together. He was the hardest of all. Not to mention the troubles of makeup, he sometimes had to perform on his knees, which was quite troublesome. However, because he had a dwarf stand-in, he consumed less energy than the three of them, so in this case, as long as he should be able to persist, he could continue.

"No problem, let's continue." Davis waved his hand generously.

"Thank you, John." Jackson nodded in relief, then took the loudspeaker from his assistant: "All departments should pay attention to the last shooting today, and the time will be 1 minute. Please hurry up and prepare."

A few minutes later, as the "Action" sounded again, dozens of extras fought again, and the arms quickly rotated along the designated trajectory. Jackson at the front end firmly controlled the camera and shot these pictures one by one.

It seemed as if a century had passed, and the long 1 minute finally came to the right. When the director on the boom said to his assistant to stop, a crackling sound rang out immediately. Most of the weapons in their hands fell to the ground, and then they looked for a place to lean on it. I don’t know if it was too tired or what happened. An extra actor who was dressed up as an orc leaned back without observation. Unexpectedly, the edge of the wall behind him was shorter than a piece of the surroundings. He was caught off guard and turned over.

"Wow!" A terrified scream rang out, and everyone around him was stunned and did not respond. Only one of them rushed over immediately, stretched out his hands to grab the drapery on his rolling shoulder.

"Help! Help!" The man below danced and yelled and struggled because of fear, so that the not-so-solid drapery began to appear cracks.

"Damn... calm down! Give me your hand!" the one above shouted, wearing blonde fake hair and an elf dress, officially playing Shaun, who was Hardir.

As soon as he shouted, the one below finally temporarily controlled his emotions and immediately reached out to grab Sean's arm firmly. However, his body was fat and obviously he had to regain some weight. In order to catch him, Sean was already protruding forward, and his lower abdomen was pressed against the edge of the wall. When he pulled it like this, he immediately began to feel like he was about to slide down slowly.

Fortunately, after such a flash of lightning, everyone around them reacted. Seven or eight hands were already put on, and finally pulled them all up.

"How is it, is it okay?" Jackson finally rushed over after the drama assistants sent the extra and Sean down.

The extras said nothing, and nodded when they were supported by someone, obviously frightened.

"Fortunately, my arms were a little weak." Although Sean's face was a little pale, he was still within the normal range, and he just covered his lower abdomen with his hands.

This made Jackson feel relieved. Although the crew had taken protective measures, there were mats disguised as stones under the walls, and soft things were stuffed in the armor. It was inevitable that some people would be injured, sprained ankles, dislocated, etc., and some of them were black and blue because of the fall, and some even rolled down the steps.

Fortunately, after more than half a year of shooting, there was basically no life. If Sean hadn't reacted quickly enough today, he still didn't know what would have happened, and the mat underneath was not omnipotent.

"Beautiful job, Sean."

"You are so brave."

"If it weren't for you, the problem would be big."

When he took off his makeup, a group of people praised him so much. Not only Mortson, Davis and Bloom were among them, but they could see that they were sincere. Well, I hope they can continue to keep it.

"How do you feel, hero?" Sanders took the time to say this.

"Very good, it's just a stomachache." Sean replied angrily.

There were probably a few small stones on the edge of the wall, which made the belly very uncomfortable. I didn’t feel that when I saved someone, but I felt very uncomfortable after I finished it. But this little problem didn’t matter. After all, he saved someone, although he had no idea about anything at that time, but he just saved it by instinct.

"Really? It's so thrilling. If it were me, I would definitely not be able to react." After removing the makeup, a crisp female voice floated into her ears.

Following the sound, tall young girls were near a tent, talking and laughing with Bloom, Mortson and the others.

"Look, he's out," he waved at this time when he saw Sean Bloom, "Come here, Sean."

"Don't make a sound, let me guess that this must be the most beautiful flower in the entire crew, and Miss Liv Taylor, who plays the most beautiful Muslim star in the elves in the novel." Sean said with a smile as he stared at the girl.

"Thank you," the other party's face turned slightly red, looking a little shy, "You are really good at speaking, Mr. Tang."

"Shawn," Sean's smile became even more gentle, "I just told the truth."

"Shawn is different from us. He is the Nominee for Best Actor from the third year in Oscars." Bloom interjected.

This guy has just praised you. Sean couldn't help but roll his eyes in his heart, then realized something and glanced at him. Could it be that this guy was pursuing her?

OK, Liv Taylor is indeed a beautiful girl, especially her gray-blue eyes, which are very attractive. Sean has seen the stills of her playing the elf princess Arwen, which does give people a stunning feeling, but... her face looks a bit long, and after watching it for a long time, it will feel a little strange.

Then you go and pursue it, I won’t... wait! Sean suddenly thought of something and looked into the distance. Sure enough, he quickly found the figure of Cate Blanchett who came with Liv, and was talking to Jackson in the distance.

Although the fat New Zealander is currently busy filming the Battle of Helmet Valley, other plots have not been put aside. As mentioned earlier, when Wood mentioned, some cutscene scenes that do not require him to supervise themselves are taken by several assistant directors or taken outdoor scenes or filmed indoors, so Wood, Austin, Kate, Liv and others are all here.
