Chapter 5 One Step Ahead(2/2)

"Will there be a different place in the Zhongyuan Festival in Yancheng?" Sima Liang was looking forward to it while eating dumplings.

"I haven't been there either. However, I can reach Yancheng tomorrow night when the waterway is coming." Xiao Shunzi replied.

Sima Liang nodded with deep understanding. Then he finished eating the glutinous rice dumpling in the bowl.

Then, he stood up satisfied.

"Let's go." As he said that, he walked towards the dock.

"Your Highness, I can't keep up."

Xiao Shunzi threw down a piece of silver and chased after the vendors without waiting for money.

"What a generous customer." The boss happily put away the money and packed up the dishes.

"It's so big."

Sima Liang looked around on the boat curiously. This was his first time riding a boat, full of freshness.

"No one else?"

He noticed that there were only two people on the boat who looked like he and Xiao Shunzi, and the rest were boatmen.

"Your identity is here, so be careful."

It seems that the situation on the ship was ordered by Xiao Shunzi privately.

Sima Liang frowned, a little dissatisfied with the other party's behavior. But then he thought that the other party was also for his own good. He had to shake his hand and let the other party retreat first and let himself stay for a while.

Seeing this, Xiao Shunzi breathed a sigh of relief and retreated silently. He was about to clean up the place where the other party could rest at night.

"Zhongdu, Yancheng, the sixth prince, the king of Yan..."

Lifting against the bow of the boat and looking at the moon in the sky, Sima Liang was full of thoughts.

At this time, a noisy sound came from the side of the boat, as if someone was arguing.

"Is something wrong?" With the mentality of joining in the fun, Sima Liang came to the boat and checked the source of the sound.

"Please, let me get on the boat. I can work on the work and repay it. As long as I can get back to Yancheng."

A down-and-out scholar begged the boatman.

"Little husband, this boat has been taken by a generous adult. You might as well find the next one." The shipman was a little helpless.

"But this is the last ship today. I really have something important to do to rush back to Yancheng. Please, can you let me meet that master?" The scholar refused to give in.

The boatman thought about Sima Liang and his two poses, and thought to himself: These two masters are so generous and have such a good temperament, so they must be noble people. It is really not cost-effective to disturb the other person because of this down-and-out scholar.

"You might as well find the next one, I'm going to set off soon." The shipman's voice was a little angry. He didn't want to waste time with the other party anymore.

The scholar knelt down directly after hearing this.

"Please, I really have something important to go to Yancheng."

"There is gold under the knees of a man, and he stands up and says something." Sima Liang walked to the side of the boat and stopped the farce.

"Sir, I'll drive him away immediately, and I won't disturb our trip." The boatman was afraid of annoying him and planned to send the scholar away.

"No, the boat is so big, it doesn't matter if there is one more person, let him come up." Sima Liang stopped the boatman.

The scholar was so excited that he couldn't do it himself when he saw that he could get on the boat. He quickly knelt down and thanked him.

"Sir Xie."

"Don't kneel, I won't let you come up." Sima Liang felt a little uncomfortable with the scholar's favorite kneeling.

The scholar quickly got up, afraid of provoking the other party.

It's funny, when he got on the boat, he almost fell and fell into the river. Fortunately, the boatman grabbed him.

When the last boatman boarded the boat, the springboard and anchor were put away, and the big ship began to move forward slowly.

Because he woke up late, Sima Liang was already late at night and was not sleepy yet.

He sat in the seat at the bow of the boat and was about to enjoy the moon for a while.

As I drove past the noisy pier, the lights along the coast gradually became quieter as the lights became less.

Sima Liang was particularly at ease when he felt the tranquility.

He was in a happy mood and hummed a little tune.

I have to say that Xiao Shunzi is really good at serving people. He walked to the bow of the boat with a tray.

A few dishes of dried fruit and a pot of tea were placed neatly on the small table beside Sima Liang.

"Your Highness, be thirsty. Have some tea."

After taking the tea handed over by Xiao Shunzi, Sima Liang sniffed it in a habit.

"New tea! Xiao Shunzi is OK." He happily drank the tea.

"Mr. Tang, I sent it specially. I originally planned to give it to Your Highness to satisfy your cravings on the way."

While speaking, Xiao Shunzi peeled off some dried fruits. After checking, he put the complete and beautiful part on the disc beside Sima Liang.

Sima Liang, who was used to serving the other party, picked up some processed dried fruits and put them into his mouth.

"My father-in-law, it will take a while before he can arrive in Yancheng. Do you think I will go directly to Tang Mansion? Or do you want to play outside for a while now."

"The palace is still being rebuilt, and I will live in the Tang palace for a while. Although it is a family, it is always inconvenient to rely on others. Your Highness can wait until Lord Tang arrives before going back." Xiao Shunzi knew his thoughts and helped him find a step.

"Smart." Sima Liang pointed at the other party happily.

When the two were happy, the appearance of one person broke the beautiful picture.

"Sir, I'm here to thank you." The scholar greeted timidly.

Xiao Shunzi frowned, and even in front of his master, he did not hide anything. He was obviously very dissatisfied with the scholar getting on the boat.

“Pour tea for the guests.”

Sima Liang was in a good mood and ignored the other party's displeasure.

His respect made the scholar a little flattered. After thanking him again, he took the tea and drank it.

"New tea in Yancheng?" the scholar exclaimed.

Xiao Shunzi clenched his fists tightly, and he wanted to punch this rude guy.

"Do you know this tea? It seems that you have a story too." Sima Liang was very interested.

"In the years when my father was most proud, I was lucky enough to taste this tea. I thought I would never have the chance to taste this tea in this life. I didn't expect that I could taste this tea from my benefactor. I think that I am also the top-level powerful person. Of course, I won't ask too much. I can only thank you for your generosity." The scholar was a little lonely.

What he said made Xiao Shunzi look a little higher, thinking: This down-and-out scholar has actually seen the world.

"Before getting off the boat, give the guests some new tea, just treat it as a gift for meeting." Sima Liang understood the scholar's words and planned to comfort him.

"After all, it's over. I've appreciated the kindness of my lord. Now I don't have a set of tea sets to make this tea. I'll ruin it after all." The scholar refused with a smile.

"As long as you drink it, how can it be ruined?" Sima Liang continued to comfort him.

...

After some communication, the scholar looked tired

Seeing this, Sima Liang asked the other party to rest first.

"Shi Cheng? Shi's family?" Sima Liang murmured to himself.

"Your Highness?" Xiao Shunzi didn't quite understand the master's thoughts.

"It's okay, I just feel that there is a coincidence. When you get off the boat tomorrow, prepare some gifts for this guest. If you encounter it, please help."

Sima Liang finished drinking the cup of cold tea and returned to the boat. It seemed that he was planning to rest.

The moon is westward, and the big ship is sailing slowly in the canal.

In the forests on both sides of the river, insects made tireless sounds. But this sound that would have made people feel noisy made Xiao Shunzi feel particularly comfortable.

"It's great to be able to leave the palace. I'm going to return to Yancheng, and it's been decades in a flash. I don't know if anyone else is left at home."

The voice of his speech ended abruptly, and Xiao Shunzi looked up at the moon in the sky, feeling a little disappointed.

"There is no one else, I'm the only one."
